Best trail shoes! I have worn them crossing the Grand Canyon and running on the sugar sands in FL. Very versatile and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend!

The BEST! From the first time you slip them on in the morning to when you unlace them at the end of the day they are SO comfortable. No pinching. No blisters. No foot fatigue. Just perfection!

My feet love these shoes. There is plenty of room for toes to move freely yet the heel and mid-shoe feel secure.
I often wear size 8 1/2 but got the size 9 on recommendation and am glad I did.
Some days, my heels would like a bit more padding and I'm always checking Altra website for a shoe that looks less like a running shoe with a bit more padding.
I even get compliments on the color of these (green).
I am very happy with this purchase. I return shoes all the time in my search for comfort.

I'm an older but active female. As I've aged, my feet have spread - both lengthwise and width wise. These shoes allow my feet "room to be comfortable" and have a bigger toe box that doesn't force my toes too tightly together. They're very comfortable - but, because of the slightly wider toe box (I think), it took me a few days before my feet didn't "bump into each otehr" when I was walking. Love'm now!

I love these shoes. I bought them on recommendation from my daughter in law. We're travelers and appreciate how light they are, but believe they will work on both trails and cobblestones. The wide toe box was my main attraction. I will be buying more!
I ordered a half size up to accommodate a thicker sock.
I'm waiting for another 30% sale.

Although these are for trail running, I use them for hiking. I have pain in ball of my foot and these being 0 drop are perfect and don't hurt my feet. I do wish they had a tiny bit more arch but love them.

As I've gotten older, my feet have gotten flatter (and thus wider) along with having bunions so I need a shoe with a wide toe box, but without having the heel be too loose. These are perfect! My husband and I love to go hiking when we're in Hawaii and these are cool and oh so comfortable. I highly recommend them! And because they have a wide toe box, I don't get any blisters from them!

I wear Lone Peaks for pavement walking in NYC and they're the perfect sneaker for that. I got the dark purple ones but they're more eggplant in real life. Still nice, but the photo wasn't quite accurate in terms of color. They're still the more stylish lifestyle option even though they're not technically lifestyle shoes. Overall, great fit and comfort straight out of the box.

I bought the lone peak 8 to possibly run in again, I love altra but it's not my first choice for trail running due to other running relating things. This shoe is my definite go to for trail hikes, strolls, trail dog walking, volcano hiking (yes, I mean this). Love it!
I have the purple lone peak 8 - THE COLOR IS WAY BETTER IN PERSON! Must.love.bright colors.
I'd buy another pair but now that you rereleased the King Mt, I'll take those again. Woot!

Tried hokas and they ruined my leg muscles. These were similar feel to my Nike free runs back in the day. I have a borderline D-E width foot and these have been so great for me.

I have a borderline D-E width foot for a lassie. Plus high arch and instep. I tried hikes and they destroyed my leg muscles. I've been retraining with these and have fallen in love with running again

These are classics. My lateral malleolus bumps on both sides but fortunately I wear granny custom orthotics beach removes that issue. Comfortable, durable, versatile, classic.

I bought these Women's Lone Peak 8 sneakers for a trip. I knew I would be doing a lot of walking up hills and hiking on coastal trails. These shoes were extremely comfortable and fit perfect. I would highly recommend these for extensive walking and moderate hiking.

I ordered my typical 8.5 size and it fit perfectly. Absolutely love the wide toe box and 0 drop sole. The sole is also soft but firm enough to still have a connection to the ground and a feel of lateral stability.

Love the wide toe box and the zero drop! A good comfortable shoe. I ran my first trail half marathon in them and felt amazing.

i wear orthotic insoles, so the removable foot pad is a great plus for me. i love this color, i find it amazing how different Altra's are ... now own 4 ...they are all so unique in colors, fit and style. shocking really. no clue how to recommend which style for new folks wishing to buy them ... i enjoy the wide foot bed and style ... depends on what you are looking for. i just wish they had more colors.

I was a competitive sprinter for 8 years. This year I started to have chronic toe pain. I discovered it was from always wearing shoes with a pointy toe box, most often Nikes. These shoes saved me.

I was struggling with a brutal and persistent case of plantar fasciitis. The last time I had it it lasted 18 months, and I spent thousands of dollars on a variety of recommended footwear (and podiatry appointments and PT). This time after about a month of it, I went again to the local (awesome) running store and they recommended the Astra Lone Peak. I had never worn a no-drop shoe, and at first they made it worse. I was literally in tears and occasionally unable to walk without assistance. I then bought a pair of Tread Labs insoles, popped them in the Altras and had immediate and lasting relief. It was an utterly magical combination.
I love the tread, the color choices are pretty good, and the toe box can't be beat. They also seem to be holding up really well. It's been about four months, I wear these for just about everything (I wear Archies as house shoes), and I have no foot pain whatsoever.

Wow. First pair of Altras and I'm hooked. Lightweight, so comfy, like wearing slippers, perfect foot shape. I use them for walking, hiking, and jogging. I LOVE THEM. Thank you Altra.

I have the Escalante Road running shoes and LOVE them, so I decided to try Altra's trail shoes. I can truly say that I would never use a different product. My husband talked me into trying the Flex trail shoes, but I hated them and then went to Altra Lone Pine.
I threw the Flex shoes away. These are by far the best trail shoes! I hike, run, and race in them and couldn't say a bad thing about them! Since purchasing these, I have encouraged my husband to buy the men's Lone Pine, and he loves those as well. We are avid hikers, and I am an avid runner. Do yourself a favor and GET THEM!
