Toe box wrinkles. Have to relace shoe. 1st mile takes getting use to but after that relax for a smooth transition. I am flat footed so I like the low mid sole drop.

I really like these for recovery/easy days! They are different than any other Brooks I've worn and more like Hoka. They are definitely well cushioned and are perfect for mixing it up in your sneaker rotation to allow for different muscles being activated. I love the look (I got the rose gold).

I have been wearing Ghost for over 7 years and love them. Just bough the Ghost Max and now have been wearing for about 2 weeks. So far I like the extra support in the heel and arch.

I have owned many pairs of Brooks running shoes over the years and was excited to try the new Ghost Max shoes. Right off the bat, I love the rose gold/pink color of the shoes - they look great on my feet and the neutral colors can match with many outfits.
I was a little concerned the larger platform bottom would feel awkward when walking or running, but they actually felt very stable. I especially liked the rocker-like sole, which really did help propel me forward when walking and running and had a "walking on clouds" feeling. They are surprisingly lightweight for how large the sole is.
I am deducting one star for comfort of the inner sole. Don't get me wrong, they are great for a short walk/run/workout, but the times I've work them casually around town all day, I found my feet to be a little achy at the end of the day. I am 28 weeks pregnant, so I am carrying some additional weight these days - so this might not be a universal problem. I personally just found the insoles to be rather hard and would have preferred a tad more padding.
Overall though, these are a comfortable and good looking shoe for running, jogging, walking or working out.

Have worn Ghosts for years and years, tried others but always came back to them. Needed more cushion as I aged and these were a welcome find and great color in the grey and blue! Normal size 9.5 and wide in womens, but these were a bit too wide and long for me. Will order again downsizing and hope it works. Really, really like how the shoe feels. Do not run, only walking and everyday tasks. Live in tennis shoes.

I love the shoe's cushion. However there needs to be a better attachment of the tongue, as it tends to slip to the side without better attachment closer to where the laces tie. I have a narrow foot and too many athletic shoes only come in Medium, so the toe area of the shoes tends to be slightly too roomy.

Overall, these shoes are the new favorites in my rotation for a mid-distance run. They are lightweight and promote forefoot running really well. As someone recovering from back surgery, a cushioned landing is extremely important. Among the max cushioned category, Brooks has created a neutral shoe that's almost perfect. I've enjoyed several runs up to 7 miles in the Ghost Max, and my only complaint is the mild feeling of "hot spots" on the inside of both big toes while running. I will purchase again!

Let me start out by saying I have been a long time wearer of Brooks shoes. I have bunions on both feet so I love their mesh sides which allows the feet to breathe and it ensures my feet are not confined in any way. However, I've only ever worn the Brooks Adrenalines so when I first received the Ghost Max I was a little put off by the GIANT sole. I mean, that thing looks like it takes up half the shoe! I was a little afraid I would be running on platforms. However when I slipped on the shoe, it fit me like a glove. The fit was spot on. I loved the extra padding around the tongue and collar and the hefty amount of foam on the floor of the shoe was super light but firm. It has a rocker on the sole which propels you forward as you step. I think that's my favorite part about the shoe. Each step made me want to go faster for longer without much effort. The color palate was a little bland for my taste but the colors were very well matched. Once they were on my feet I thought they looked pretty sharp. If I had to change anything, I think it would be the "platform look". I get that these shoes are supposed to be max cushion but holy foam, batman. After several runs, I have no complaints. No weird aches or pains, no blisters. If you can get past the look of the giant slab of foam, this is a solid running shoe that I'll be keeping in my rotation for sure.

For the past few weeks, I have been wearing my Brooks W Ghost Max running shoes almost every single day. They are extremely comfortable while running and walking. They give me great arch support and fit to perfection. They're definitely true to size. What I really like is even though they're light weight, their design offers great stability while running or walking on trails. This is very important to me because I'm prone to spraining my ankle. I am on my feet quite a bit at work so I thought I would try wearing them to work. They're wonderful! Because the shoes support my feet so well, my feet aren't sore at the end of my shift or after my run/walk. As much as I love the design of the shoes, I'm not a fan of their color. Other than that, they're great.

I am a busy mom of 6 young children. I have been a runner for most of my life. I started running half marathons in my mid 30's, although I am not currently training for a race. My initial thought when I unboxed my W Ghost Max shoes was that the rose gold color is gorgeous, and the shoe itself looks very chunky. Because of the chunky sole, the max cushioning is extremely noticeable on the outside of the shoe. I was curious to give it a try. The W Ghost Max shoe looks great on! The shoe runs a little on the big side and the toe box is wider. I was pleasantly surprised at the extra height the shoe gave me. I was ecstatic that my husband observed that I am noticeably taller while wearing the shoe! One thing that I love is that the eyelets hold the laces tight for me while I tighten up and tie my shoe. The pretty pink fabric is breathable and they are super squishy and comfortable for walking. With these shoes, my feet feel comfortable and rested after running around with my kids and taking care of errands for my household all day. That being said, I did not enjoy running in this shoe. I typically wear a cushion support style shoe with guide rails for running. The W Ghost Max are too squishy for me. If I could change one thing, I would keep the height that the max cushion gives me in this shoe, but make it a little less squishy.

This shoe feels great with the rocker bottom. Working in orthopedics, we often recommend shoes with a rocker bottom to help our patients with foot problems. The shoe is lightweight despite having a thicker sole. I do wish the sole had more of a cushion since it feels rather firm. The material is breathable and airy which is appreciated during the summer. The pale pink color is just right as it is still very neutral. It fits true to size. I have a narrow foot and there is still some wiggle room. Overall, this is a great shoe!

As an older runner (82 yrs) I wanted a running shoe with a maximum cushioning. I spoke with a Brooks representative about the shoe and she indicated it was also a good runners shoe. I have worn the shoes for almost a month and can say they are not a runners shoe, at least for older folks. I do use them for my daily workout runs (5k's) and they feel heavy, and my average time is slower than when I use my Ghost 15's. If I run on solid concrete they function better (longer stride) than when on mixed material roadways. I wouldn't use them in a challenging event race, and will use my Ghost 15's as I have normally. I will use the Ghost Max as a training shoe and the extra weight should help when the lighter Ghost 15's are used. The Ghost Max is a great walking shoe just not appropriate for my running and I have an event race October 19th and hopefully will see better results from working with a heavier shoe in practice.

It's a great shoe! I just had to size a whole size up, but guess this can be true with sneakers!

I was somewhat disappointed. I felt the shoe ran narrow in the width. My toes hit the tip and when out in the trail I felt the bottom of my toes had no protection. The cushion in the heel felt good but it does not extend to the front of the shoe. I have 4 other Brook shoes and this was my first disappointment. It was to be my new go to but now will be used occasionally.

I love the cushioning for sure! However, the upper began to wear through an approximately less than a year. Disappointing. A downer, so to speak given the price. Still, a very good shoe. From my understanding, the second edition is taking care of the material on the upper for this next go round. Hope so. Going to stick with the Glycerin GTS a Morgan nd about ready to receive a pair of Adrenaline GTS as my cross trainers so to speak. Holding my breath on the toe box space.

I purchased this shoe for the extra cushioning which is made it comfortable. Although I wear a size 10 in every Brooks shoe style i own this shoe was at least a 10,5 or 11 in feel so I had to return them .

The Ghost Max is supposed to replace the Dyad. It's a very soft shoe. I would prefer the Dyad back.

Very Bulky and Hurt My Outside Ankles. Very hot. I got spoiled with the Hyperion line. In going back to that. These are super cushy, but so bulky that it takes away from the experience. They are too deep.

I'm not a runner, but I find running shoes to be the best walking / every day wear shoes. I usually get one pair of shoes a year, in the spring. I've been wearing brooks ghost and glycerin models for years. When these arrived, and i put them on, I loved them instantly. But less than 6 months in, they have totally wore out. Parts of the soles are gone. I've never had a pair of shoes wear out so fast. And to be honest, I wore these less than in previous years. I really only wore these when going on walks or if I knew I was going to be on my feet all day. BOTTOM LINE: They are great, but based on my experience, expect to replace them more frequently.

I have walked for years and the last 5 years I have worn Brooks. I have had the best results with the Ghost 13 and 14. I did the online test and it suggested the Ghost Max so I ordered those. I am so disappointed with this shoe! My feet, legs and hips hurt while I am walking it's not like soreness which I have had it is more of an actual pain. I am going to try to figure out how to return the Ghost Max and order the Ghost 16.

Very comfortable for standing all day once you break them in. Also not totally slip resistant either, almost bit the dust in them first day wearing them. Im not sure why but they smell so bad compared to other shoe brands I have had. Comfortable. Long lasting. But wow do they smell and I have never had any of my shoes smells ever.

Very comfortable from the start but tread is too soft and had a quick fall off after just a couple weeks. Very thankful for Brooks return policy!

Beautiful shoes but are not right for me. They don't fit like the pair I tried on in store. They are too high and I struggle with balance and stability.

Big and clunky, insole is not contoured for my feet or as luxurious as I had hoped. I find myself preferring to wear my NB's for longer-duration comfort.
