I love brooks shoes I just think these weren't the ones for me. But that won't stop me from buying in the future.

This is my second pair of Ghost max. The first pair was great! So much more cushion than the Original ghost. The second pair is identical to the first but cause ankle pain and my heels hurt within an hour of wearing them. I feel like the pair is defective,

Very good shock absorbing, but not as stable as I would like. I worry that tread wear may be an issue, based on how it looks after 7 runs.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Runs SmallRuns Large
Runs NarrowRuns Wide
Poor SupportGreat Support
Too short, too tight! Was not a true 11 E. The stacked height felt OK, not like a Hoka which feels like you'd twist your ankles walking on cobblestone or uneven surface (ever run on the street and step on an itchy ball from a tree...there goes your ankle!). Returned, thank you to Zappos return policy and VIP membership to make returns seamless! Forever customer!

The shoes are very comfortable right out of the box. I can't rate them higher secondary to the toe box indenting and the shoe not holding shape. The sole also sheers easily. For the price, the last ability isn't up to standard.

They aren't as cushy as they appear. I am wearing at work. I am on my feet walking non stop and by the end of the shift my feet are screaming. I wish they had more a lot more support and cushion.

I've used brooks running shoes for the last 10 years and have owned many models of the Ghost shoes. As a former collegiate cross country runner the Ghost shoes were always my preference. I was excited to see that there was the ghost max model as it was recommended by my podiatrist to get a shoe with extra cushion and support as I have an old injury flaring up. These shoes are perfect for what I need and provide the best support and shock absorption, the extra cushion really takes away a lot of impact on the joints when the foot strikes the ground. I still do a lot of distance running and these shoes are perfectly for the runs especially since most are on the road. To someone not use to running with quite as much cushion the shoe might feel slightly heavy and bulky at first. My only complaint I have on the shoe is that after only having them for less than 2 months, they are already falling apart. The lace holes on the shoe are already popping up and separating in some areas. So a 5/5 on the actual shoe and a 3/5 on it's wear and tear.

Ever since I switched to Brooks I haven't gone with any other shoe. I have been working in the Pet Care industry for 9 years now, mostly dog walking and the Brooks are just what my feet need! I was so excited to try out these new Brooks Max since they had the added cushion for my feet but was sad because the fabric on the top of the shoe has already started to get a hole in it. Normally these shoes are so well built that they last me for a year before I have to replace them but I've only had these for a few months and will have to replace them here soon. It is a bit unfortunate for the cost of the shoe

I purchased this neutral sneaker on the recommendation from my podiatrist. I liked the cushioning and glide roll rocking motion of the shoe, however, I believe the sneakers run small. I'm generally a size 10 & purchased a 10.5. For short walks, they were comfortable but yesterday, when I went for my first 5 mile walk in them, I found my big toe hit the end of the sneaker, to the point that the discomfort made me abandon the walk after 2 miles. These are not cheap sneakers so I hope I will be able to return these for a bigger size. Otherwise, in terms of detailing & workmanship, the sneaker is great

Too much cushion and I'm surprised I feel this way. Initially, they were very comfortable and they felt like walking on a gymnasium floor. Nice for standing. But, after extensive walking in them, I was in a lot of pain. They don't seem to offer as much support as the standard Ghost shoes.

Extremely slippery outsole. Very poor grip in wet conditions. Fell on a slightly wet surface indoors while wearing these. Will not be wearing anymore and would not purchase again

Really like to run in these, but they just don't seem to last very long. Once I get to around 200 miles I start to feel aches and discomfort from the shoes not having enough tread. It's happened in both pairs. I strictly wear them to run in only. If they lasted longer I would be much happier with them.

Definitely bouncy, made me feel propelled to run, and they had a great sole for those of us who have flatu feet. They were constructed very well ani I can see theses lasting for quite a while. Very impressed!

These were wonderful for the first two weeks, after that the cushion insole is no longer as bouncy.I really think all Brooks sneakers should include an extra pair of insoles.

The overall difference I felt from the Ghost was a slightly tougher uphill climb, springer, and less ankle stability. After 2 short runs and one longer, I had to return them due to ankle pain from (I'm guessing) instability. I really wanted to love these. Just sticking with regular Ghost now!

I have worn the Ghost model for years and always loved them, but the Max hurts my feet. I feel like the heels are too thick and hard, and the tongue is too short. I would like to return them and exchange for an original pair of Ghost.

The Ghost Max is definitely cushiony and visually appealing. Seems well constructed for all intents and purposes. However, this Max version has left my ankles torn up, backs and outer sides. The shoe comes up way too high and rubs everything the wrong way. Even though I ordered the normal width, this shoe feels roomier in general and contributes further to the friction against ankles. If it works for your feet, it's a great shoe, but they do not function well for me.

They did not have enough arch support and caused my feet to hurt and my toes to go numb.

I tried the Ghost 15 and they were too hard and uncomfortable. Tried these but they feel too flat and hurt my feet. There is not enough arch support, and although they seem wide, they hurt my small toe. They aren't comfortable enough to walk a long distance. I'm keeping them until the Ghost 16 comes out, which I hope will feel like the old Glycerin 19 which was the most perfect, versatile shoe ever made. I have worn Brooks shoes for 28 years and this is the first time that neither the Ghost nor Glycerin are comfortable.
