When I received the shirt the stitching at the sleeve came out and I had to stitch it myself

Needed an update for a dark green turtleneck, so ordered this one in a regular medium. Color is great, fit is OK, but fabric is flimsy. The pima fabric is very thin, so the turtleneck feels more like a summer weight tee shirt than a nice lofty turtleneck to wear on a winter day. Plus, for some reason, this color doesn't come in a tall, so the sleeves are a bit short for me, as I have long arms. As a result, after washing it, I let it hang dry so the sleeves wouldn't shrink too much.The neck stays up, at least, and the overall length is good. Not totally thrilled with it, but like the color, so will keep it. One last thing--it came loose in a Bean bag--not packaged in the usual plastic bag. Someone in the shipping department must have just been handed this as a possible return, so they must have just tossed it in a bag and sent it on its way to me!

Soft, well made, however not true to size. To small in shoulders

The fabric is nice, the colors are nice, but the word "turtleneck is a misnomer; the turtleneck does not hug my neck and keep it warm. It's so loose that it falls down (and my neck isn't skinny). The body is a little too short and doesn't always stay tucked into my jeans. The sleeves are a nice length. (Please don't shorten them.)

These tops are suddenly running very short- I have not gained weight and the should fit better than barely getting to my waist! This also happened with 2 lighter tops- I am not going to purchase them any more

Very soft, feels lovely on. However, the arms are way too short for me. I'm always a Reg. M, and the arms fit more like a Petite size. Bought it in black and white and both have the same issue.

I so wanted to love these turtlenecks. The fabric is fabulous and the fit seemed just right. Maybe the sleeve could have been a tad longer but they don't come in tall. Sadly after washing my Reg M was a Petite S - the sleeves were nearly 3/4 length and the body length gave me about 1" of tuck in length. I gave them to a friend of mine who absolutely loves them and is petite (5'1" and about 100#).

I bought a red Pima turtleneck before Christmas. I like it very much EXCEPT for the tag sewn into the seam on the lower left side. The tag is completely integrated into the seam so I cannot completely cut it out without ruining the shirt. But the small bit of tag I cannot remove is VERY irritating to my skin. Makes the shirt almost unbearable to wear. This is an easy design fix. SO FIX IT!!

This review is for all three purchases. I felt like I was being strangled with these shirts. Putting them on over your head was wrenching

I wanted to love an LLBean white turtleneck as a staple in my winter wardrobe, but this one disappointed me. It's short and boxy, and it lost its shape after one wear. It was not the least bit flattering or comfortable because the sleeves and bottom hem are both short. I have had a Bean turtleneck in forest green in the distant past and wore it for years; this one I ended up thrifting after just a few wears. Lengthen your hems and put a little fit into your turtlenecks as they used to be, please!

I am a regular customer. I am usually very happy with the quality of the merchandise. But this clothing is made of poor quality material

I was disappointed in these turtlenecks. I had ordered one earlier in the season and it became one of my favorite pieces of clothing. Tried to get it later on and L.L. Bean was out so I tried these. The fabric was very lightweight and somewhat transparent. These are only useful as a layer under another sweater,l. The fit was very trim and Showed more than I wanted to.

This is very nice pima cotton and really liked the pale pink color turtleneck. Sadly neither the large nor the medium fit (I returned the large in exchange for the medium). Large too big and loose, the medium too small in arms and too short too. I wish LL Bean would match the sizing of these to the regular cotton knit turtle and T-neck shirts. Those fit me very nicely.

I've worn L.L. Bean white turtlenecks for years (30+) and loved them. This year's model was thin and wimpy. I will probably not re-order again.

I wear a size Large Regular in other brands which are very comfortable as I like a little room . This top fits like a Med. Regular and therefore a bit too tight and not very comfortable.

I'm tall (5'10") and a tall size was not an option. I tried the regular, but is was too short.

Material and color are goodsizing is not good! Fits too tightly and not comfortable. I will keep the two turtlenecks and probably wear, however, will not wear often. Need to order o e to two sizes up!

Shrinks when washed to short now. They should be offered in tall sizes to allow for shrinkage.

The cloth is thinner than it used to be. I wish I could get one like the old ones were.

I ordered a size medium in this turtleneck. I have a small neck and head (6-5/8 hat size) and the turtleneck was very tight pulling it over my head! I wore it a few minutes and all I could think about was the snug fit around my neck, not comfortable at all, so it was returned.

I love the color and the material, but it is way too short. I'm very disappointed. I've worn it a couple of times hoping to be able to like it.

Too clingy. Shows everything, e.g. outlines bra. Very thin. Must have some polyester because you can't stretch bottom, clings to hips. Very form fitting. Body small. Arms too long and not wide enough, clingy. Cold not warm. Don't like cuffs when wearing under sweater.

The color is nice however the material is not stretchy.
