I love the color and material BUT the length is too short!

These are so nice and good looking and all, but about 2-3 inches too short. Especially after first washing and drying.

I'm in need of turtlenecks this year and so I decided to try these again after several years of not buying them. They feel wonderful, and the colors are terrific.. However, they are short, if you want to tuck them in and even shorter if you want to leave them out. Even dried over the rack and washed in cold water. The length will shrink a little bit. I am keeping the three I bought however because I live in turtlenecks in the winter and I need new ones.. please L.L. Bean add two or 3 inches to the overall length to both accommodate a little bit of natural shrinkage no matter how one dries it and to give the comfort of the longer length. Note: the issue of length becomes greater if you are any more than a standard B cup. I bought a size up to get a little more length, but it still wasn't it enough for what I really feel comfortable with.

It shrunk after washing much more than past purchases. Disappointed

The fabric and color are wonderful. Very soft and comfortable. I ordered a petite- medium and have found it to be to short in length.

I've bought this item many times before in the same size, but this time, after the initial washing, it was too small! Sleeves barely reached my wrist bones and the body was so short, I couldn't even tuck it in to my hi-rise jeans. Very disappointed.

I purchased these turtlenecks for the colours offered. The neck did not fit as snug as I prefer for the warmth it provides. I also purchased L.L.Bean tees turtlenecks because of the colours offered. The neck is a much better fit for me. I would recommend either one depending on your preference of a snug or a bit loose neck fit.

The shirt is soft and a pretty color, but the shoulder seams are a bit forward when being worn. It looks a bit off, but since I will wear it under something it will be ok.

I knew at the get-go that I wasn't going to like the shade of pink, but my old LLBean one is worn out and had to be replaced. However, the "pima cotton" is nowhere near the quality as it has been in the past and I am very disappointed. It is very scratchy which is not pima quality.

I was looking for a turtleneck to wear while skiing or afterwards for warmth. The material just isn't what it used to be in a turtleneck that I had bought years ago.

This would be a perfect turtleneck if only it were longer. Much too short for those of us with even a slightly long torso.

Lovely blue color and fine pima material. The 1X was too tight in the neck and too loose in the body. Exchanged for an XL which was better in the neck and a tad small in the body. Odd but maybe I just don't have a T-neck body!

Like the color because it has a purple undertone and the fabric is soft with a bit of sheen. It's also a mid-weight knit and so is warmer than a t-shirt. Be sure you order a size up if your arms are a bit longer. After I washed it it no longer covered my wrists.

This is the third time I've tried to review this top as LL Bean keeps canceling me each time I try. I'm 5'7" and 128 lbs. Ordered the "medium" because of the reviews stating it runs small. The "medium" actually runs about a full size smaller than the "small" in the similar Pima cotton v-neck! Very disappointing.

Too big and too long for my wife, so she returned this item.

Great fit until first cold water wash/low dry when it shrank in length and sleeves. Now hard to decide if I need a larger size or should just get a Regular rather than Petite. Frustrating to have to pay to return when the product is defective.

Well, I bought a Men's Turtleneck Xl, which I have had several previously. This one is wearable but is a bit too small, especially in the sleeves. At some point, I will return to your store and buy an XXL

I got two of these, decided to wash/dry one first to see if/how much it shrank. It shrank a lot. I can still wear it but I decided to return the other one because I was looking for a more relaxed fit. Nice quality and cut.

L.L. Bean turtlenecks are excellent. However, I ordered what appeared in the catalog to be a soft orangey pink. It is a very bright pink that doesn't go with my other clothes at all. I could have returned it, but if I did they would not return the shipping charge, and then I would have to pay for shipping it back also. So I kept it but haven't worn it. All the tags are still on it. You might say, "Isn't shipping free"? Only with an L.L. Bean card. I gave mine up when Citi Bank refused to investigate a dispute when an expensive laptop was never delivered. They still want me to pay for It.

Had to return as turtleneck too tight, all other aspects of top fine

The sleeves on Bean's Women's long sleeved products lately have been about an inch too short prior to washing.. After one wash, they even shrunk a bit shorter! I have purchased Bean clothing for years and never had any issue until this last few months. The shirts sleeves are not long enough for my average sleeve length. Maybe they changed the pattern or manufacturer, (made in Indonesia) but I will not be able to wear any long-sleeved shirts from Bean until this improves. Please return to your original patterns, or maybe offer an option for a Women's tall size in all shirts & tops for better sleeve length. Thank you.

I ordered three of these, all in beautiful colors.....The description was "slightly fitted" I ordered Petite Small. i returned two, and would have returned the third, but I had washed it before trying it on. I had hoped to layer these under flannel or other shirts, but they were very loose fitting and too short to tuck in. There was no "fitted" to their shape. The XS would have been too small in the shoulders and chest. So sadly returned the two.

Ordered several in petite and washed one in cold and dried on low. It shrunk 2 inches in length in the body and sleeves also shrunk in length. I exchanged one for a regular medium. After shrinking, it was just the right sleeve and body length. I went to exchange all the others I bought, and there is only 1 color left in medium. Now I need to return the shrunken petite as well as the ones that I didn't wash since there are no replacements left. No excuse for that much shrinkage when it is well documented! Disappointed!
