The description says "warm" but there is nothing warm about it. The material is tissue-paper thin and the sleeves hang loose at the wrist, instead of tapering to a snug fit. The really irksome thing about it is that I could have gotten junk like this at a bargain basement, for about one-third the price. LL Bean has hit a new low with this.

I've been having problems with the variability of L.L. Bean garments recently. This item is an example. Their turtleneck knits usually fit well, and I like the feel of the fabric. However, the fabric and fit of this item (of which I unfortunately ordered 6!) felt, to me, more like a base layer or performance garment: rather slithery and very snug. They're going back, or their backorder has been cancelled.

I own 20 plus LL Bean pima tees, turtlenecks, long and short sleeved in many colors, this tee is too tight especially in the arms. I cannot wear it!

Torso is weirdly short - wouldn't stay tucked for even a minute...and that's BEFORE washing. Needed to return it. Wasn't expecting a crop top!! Rest of the fit was ok (again, pre-wash).

No elastic at the wrist cuffs. Terrible design. Had to return.

I've worn a petite medium in every other major brand of clothes, even more expensive brands. Why on Earth does LLBean always disappointment when it comes to fit. The turtleneck was snug across the shoulders, tight at the neck, and shorter in length and sleeves, even for a petite, than I expected. The soft pima fabric, color selection, and design were wonderful, but I can't wear something that is uncomfortable and basically doesn't fit. I've lost confidence in any of LLBean's clothes especially since it costs ME $$ to return them. Disappointing.

I think Llbean catering to short women these days. Those 5-4 and under. After washing there is no way I can wear this - sleeves and bodice too short. What a waste of time.

I was very disappointed woth this turtleneck. I ordered the large, bit it is cut very short and the sleeves were shorter than I' d like. I can't return them because, I already wore them, otherwise I would be returning both . Very disappointed in the quality of this turtleneck.

Disappointing. Sleeves shrunk and hem shrunk unevenly so I had to return it. Shirts should not shrink in 2021. Clerk in store said it's common and when she buys them, she has to size up. Terrible

The fabric is thin and stiff. Nothing in quality compared to the previous set of turtlenecks I bought last year. The torso is too short and will shrink in the wash to just below the belly button. The overall cut is not meant for a female body with breasts. If you are bigger than A cup it will bunch up across the chest. The only thing I liked about it was the color but that's hardly enough to keep a badly made garment. So back it goes. LL Bean quality has become highly inconsistent over the years with a steep decline in quality in many categories of items they sell. Women's clothing in particular has become poorer when compared to items still made for men. I don't live in a state with a brick-and-mortar store and paying for the shipping and return shipping is just not the investment I am willing to make. I will be switching to a different brand.

I own four LL Bean coats, all size small. The sleeves on all of the coats fit like a dream. So imagine my disappointment to discover the sleeves on this turtleneck were too short. I also felt like the length of the garment was too short also. It just didn't fit me well at all. Sadly, I had to return this item.

Sad to say, but this item was defective. I ordered two different colors. The black one fit perfectly! However this one was over 1" smaller in the turtleneck. Impossible to wear! Love the black one - fabric is so soft, even after washing. Had to return it - am waiting for my refund. I have worn and loved LL Bean turtle necks for years - I still wear some that came with the cuff!

One of the turtleneck shirts smelled of stinky laundry detergent. Obviously a return, smelly, no attached label or size sticker. Hugely disappointed in LLBean policy that would allow this! Will find a new source for my shopping.

Prima is so thin it clingy to every part of your body. If your like me you like a free falling short then don't buy this one. Sent them back 2 days after I received them and still have not heard about my refund. Just another reason why not to buy clothes through the mail.

This years t-necks are tighter in the arms & neck. Isn't as comfortable. Also while it is really nice that they print the item details on the neckline-so there is no scratchy tag, the thread in the neck seam is extremely irritating and the side washing instruction tag, almost a stiff paper is very scratchy. I have cut these off in the past, but you always run the risk of getting to close to the seam and it comes unsown after a few washings. Why don't I just return it? Because it was on sale and the cost to return it is almost a 1/3rd the total cost! No more ordering from L L Bean, return shipping to expensive.

These shirts are way too short for a "normal" (5'8") height woman. Had to return them.
