Thrilled with the Torin 7! From the ample cushioning to the flexible upper to the super-soft tongue, it all feels like a hug for my feet. :) I'm loving these for longer runs; I've had them up to 10 miles at a time so far and my feet feel great. I did a track workout in them, too; they were lightweight and responsive and felt plenty fast. I have other Altras for my track workouts, so I'm happy to devote these to longer runs, but I was curious about what they'd feel like for speedwork. If you only keep one or two pairs of shoes at a time, you'd be fine using these for both types of workouts. My only other Torin experience was the Torin 5, and it was fine, but it wasn't my favorite. Based on that shoe, I wasn't sure I wanted to try a Torin again, but I'm so glad I did, because this is an entirely different experience in the best of ways. Definitely keeping the Torin 7 in heavy rotation. I'm typically a size 9 (including in several Altras), but I went 9.5 for the Torin 7 and it fits great.

Absolutely LOVE the new Torin 7. The tongue has been fixed and I'm loving the cushioning on this shoe. Great updates.

An awesome and versatile road shoe. Supportive with just the right amount of bounce for longer, easy, and training runs. The molded heal is a great addition, very comfortable.

Torin is a staple running shoe for me and the 7 is great! It's the perfect amount of cushion and feels light yet luxurious with every step. Whether I'm heading out fo ra long run or just a quick neighborhood 5k, the Torin feels like a great shoe for the job!

Took a couple of days to break in but then they were great! The extra cushion is a great addition and the tongue is finally finally back to a comfortable plush material. Would definitely recommend!

Love these Torin's. The way it forms around my foot is amazing. Soft, cushion, and yet a great fit. Not sloppy at all. Love these for running, waking or even just daily wear.

The step in feel and ride feel great. The heel and collar pieces hold my foot in securely and comfortably. The updated tongue is way improved, super happy with these!

I got these shoes as part of a running team and we were running in a marathon relay. I was nervous because I'd never worn Altras & heard the scuttlebutt about how you can't wear them out of the box. Myth busted! Ran really well for my miles & loved the wide toe box & cushion. They're really nice to stand & walk around in. And they look cool. Highly recommend.

After wearing out my Provisions from my last marathon, I decided to make a change. And I couldn't be any happier with my new Torins. They are light, springy, and surprisingly soft. I probably overused my old shoes but making the change felt like a significant upgrade. My first run felt effortless and even though they felt light like racers, they felt really well cushioned and soft. They were so nice that I was tempted to leave them on all day. The fit was a little more snug than the Provisions but that actually helped it fit my narrow foot better.

Love Altras, I'll never wear another brand. These sit a little high and rub against my ankle bone, so 4/5 stars

This is the only brand of shoes where I don't have to purchase a wide width because the Altra toe box is actually designed to fit a real human foot.

I bought these looking for a wider toe box. They do have a wider toe box but they did not have as much cushion as my Hoka Cliftons so I returned them.
I'd also recommend:

I'm a nurse. Only show that works for my ankle mobility issue and outward turned feet. Tongue stays in place. Easy to wear for 13-14 hours of high paced ER Trauma Center nursing!

This one resembles the torin 4.5 plush the most (which by far is my favorite model) Recommend half size bigger but too big-went back to my normal size in torin. But the toe box is tight top to bottom- wearing very thin socks hoping it stretches. the tongue does not bother ankle height is slightly tall -so i wear very thin crew socks . but overall Ill buy again since I really CAN NOT find a good running shoe like the 4.5 plush

Nice looking shoe but in my opinion, cut about 1/2 size smaller than my previous Altra shoes. The toe box is also not as wide as my previous Altra shoes which was disappointing. I can’t comment on quality/durability/feel of the shoe since I had to return them due to them being too small.

This is the first pair of Altras I've ever purchased and they're super comfortable. I only wear them in the ER as a nurse and they glide well. My only complaint is that they are far too narrow. I have narrow feet and most shoes are usually too wide even for a regular width and these are pretty tight. They hurt the outside of my right foot after awhile. I hoped it would get better after breaking them in but no luck. I'd definitely purchase again and they another pair to see if I possibly got a bad pair.

got this shoe due to the "natural/roman" foot shape that gives my toes room to breathe - Thank You Altra for the foot shape!!!!! had to add arch support and get longer laces - it is sad that a shoe at this price point needed supplementing :( Wish more colors came in a wide

Just bought these to replace my Hoka Clifton 8s after PT suggested a less cushy shoe to resolve heel pain not related to P. Fasciitis. I am a walker and these come up on the Altra site for this purpose. I Initially purchased a 6.5 in regular from a store because sales rep said the shoes naturally run wide. The toe box felt roomy with enough toe spread but the length felt a little short, even tho there was a thumb's width distance to end of shoe, and the section where the laces wrap was very snug. I had read this in previous reviews but went with the sales rep's recommendation. Contacted Altra and they recommended I match size and width of Hokas so returned the 6.5 Regular and ordered 6.5 Wide from Altra. The length of the toe box and the width is more roomy but not too roomy that it feels loose, and no more snug feeling around the lace area. I notice that the very end of the vinyl eye stay where the laces start lacing up creates a crease when I am walking thru my stride. Not sure if it's because I'm wearing a wide now and it may have relocated the eye stay lower on my foot? It's not painful but I notice it when I'm walking. I'm adjusting to a lower heel drop but so far, I don't have any heel pain after walking 2 miles/day. Chat agent was great and I like that they offer a 30-day trial wear period both indoor and outdoor. I will keep these and keep monitoring fit.

I really love the look of the shoes. I just like the fit though. My feet are really wide and that's what drew me to the Altra brand, and the width of them is great! The top of the shoe, underneath the laces rubs the top of my foot raw, even through thick socks. I don't like that at all.

Only 7 miles on these shoes but I think they will be decent. The last Torin I had was way more squishy, but I think these will break in and be a little softer. I do like the firmer foam, but the upper is also much more firm than any other Altra I have had. I did have to return my first pair and order a size up, because they were too narrow and too tight in the toe. I even made the misrake of running a couple miles in them to see if they would stretch at all and they did NOT. I've worn an 8 in every other Altra I have had, which is getting up there towards maybe 12-15 pairs. I do wish that Altra would stop reinventing their shoes so quickly, maybe give each model more than a year before a redesigned version. It's nice to get attached to a shoe and be able to get a few pairs before having to switch it up again. Soverdict is still out on the new Torin, but I do think that even if these don't suit me for running, they will still be a great walking shoe.

I am new to Altra and really like them, but if I order white, I want white shoes. Not Off white. They look yellowish.
