I LOVED the pink color and the midsole was plush without being too soft. I wanted them to work. That said, the stiff material around the lace/tongue bruised the top of my foot and caused SO much pain. I had to return them.

I was all excited about Altra shoes for their acclaimed width and proper toe shape. Well, I have worn them for 4 weeks and they HURT. My toes are sore, the sides of my feet. Super tight and NOT wide.

So stiff. No give. Horrible for my Morton's Neuroma. I used to buy the Torin 4, 5 and 6. There were much better of a shoe. I hope that now Altra is making shoes that are not zero drop that they will be clear on the drop measurements in advertising. Some of us only shop zero drop. I wish that companies would keep their best shoes and not alter them in anyway. People like myself that have Morton's Neuroma depended on Altra to deliver for us. Now I will have to explore other brands.

Been buying Altra for years when I buy new shoes never have to break them in. But these new TORIN 7 are narrow in the arch and the sole is thicker and stiff the heel slips off my foot with every step no matter how tight I lace up. DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES!

I've been a huge Altra fan in my years of running for both trail and road, and all of the shoes have just gone downhill. I loved my Torin 5 shoes and was excited they finally fixed the tongue, but these were terrible. I had to cut my run short and had awful foot pain afterwards that isn't fully gone. Super disappointed in how stiff and narrow this model and every other Altra shoe is becoming. Having a hard time finding any that feel good and going to have to switch brands unfortunately, I think.

I was initially pleased with the sneakers, but I've noticed that they have started falling apart rather quickly. There is fraying in the outer part, a hole in the toe box, and ripping by the heel. I am surprised by this because I don't feel I've been particularly rough with these sneakers. I communicated with customer service, but they denied the warranty claim, citing that the falling apart was caused by usage. However, the sneakers were purchased only 5 months ago and have been barely used. This denial does not make sense.

I use these shoes at work. I am a nurse that works in a hospital and my shoes have wore out way to fast. I've only had them for about 3-4 months and for the price I paid I am not happy with how long they've lasted me. Makes me so sad, I'm a Altra kinda shoe gal because comfort wise they are amazing but the wear and tear to them is not it. So sad

Agree with the comments related to the narrowness of the shoes, I couldn't run for a mile workout feeling the constriction and my feet started to get numb, please bring back the side design that has made me fall in love with your brand!

The Torin has been my favorite shoe for running. Loved my 4.5s so I bought some 5s. I should have listened to the reviews that warned of the tongue issues.They were correct, the tongue rubbed my foot so now I use then for walking only. I was excited to see the Torin 7 had gone back to a soft tongue so I bought a pair and then I had to return them. They were so bad I thought they were couldn't possibly be Altras. My toes went numb. No matter how I laced them they were tight mid foot. They also felt 'stiff' when running. I was very disappointed and wish I had bought 10 pairs of the Torin 4.5. I ended up going with the Escalante, which still fit like they did years ago. Why change something that worked so well? The Torin 7 felt like a every other brand on the market - uncomfortable.

I hardly ever write reviews and I love Altras. My whole family and I have been wearing Altras for many many years. I bought the Torin 7's only a few weeks ago. I have only walked around in them, no running. In such a short period of time and gentle use, they are showing small tears in the mesh on the sides on both shoes! I am so sad because I loved how they feel. Now I don't know what else to buy to replace them. I had read some reviews before I bought them that had also experienced premature wear with little use, but I chose to ignore the reviews because there were so many good reviews and I've had Torins in the past that were great. I should have listened. I am at absolutely no fault for the tears. I'm a small framed women with average sized feet. I walk on hard surfaces. So why did this happen?! I hope Altra figures out the flaw in the material! Save your money and buy a different shoe!!!

The heel collar and ankle area is atrocious and stiff on these and hit my ankle to the point it was painful. Tried two sizes and heel lock lacing and neither resolved the issue. Returning both sizes.

As a long time Altra wearer, this is another dissapointing version of the Torin. Within minutes, my forefeet were literally going numb. For a company that is wanting to be known for the wide toe box, this shoe is a fail. Please please bring back the design of the 4.5 plushthat was perfection, but I've sadly used all 8 pairs that I stock piled! Sadly I have to switch brands as the last 2 interations of the Torin have been unusable (the 6's literally cut my anterior ankle due to the tongue issue).

PLEASE bring back torin 4.5. Then make a leather torin 4.5. Them make a winter leather 4.5 boot!!! This would be perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So. Much. Pain. I wanted to love these shoes so much! They are so cute and when I'm just standing they are so comfortable! But when I walk they slip off my heels badly. I bought the shoes in the website but wore them into a local store to have the fit checked since is as having issues. They fit perfectly. I unfortunately spent my entire return window trying different ways to lace these shoes, different activities, different socks, etc. By the time I realized no matter what I did I ended up with pain and giant blisters, it was too late to return them. I'm so disappointed because I would have loved to try another model of shoe to see if they would work better for me. After having spent this much, I can't justify another purchase at present.

I'm SO annoyed. I originally gave a good review of this shoe, but after running in it for a hundred miles, decided the regular width is too narrow. I have a bunion on one side and have for years relied on Altras. I ordered the only option in wide - that bright blue color - and it's literally the same shoe. Ran in them twice and my small toe was numb and my bunion was screaming. Returning. See photos for width comparison.

Can someone that actually works for Altra contact me. An outsourced person contacted me regarding one issue only stating "I don't know" "I don't work for the brand", which means you ask someone with appropriate knowledge, which didn't happen. When an "Altra" Supervisor, reaches out I will reply with my phone number to discuss over the phone please. Here's what I wrote: Posted Review: I switched to Torin 6 the beginning of 2023. Although each pair has fit differently. 1st was great, 2nd was a little narrower with crazy long laces but still no pain, Torin 7 is bad much narrower, feels like running in sand, painful feet & killing the tops of my feet because of the new restrictive laces, ankles, blisters. Never had to break in the 6's but the 7's won't break in. & keep getting numerous pebbles caught in crevices (bigger crevices than torin 6), and there hint of flexibility in the laces in now GONE so the laces gouge the tops of my feet. My feet are very short & spinal fusions so a nightmare to find a shoe that works. I'm devastated. Please reach out. Any 6's left?

Just wanted to add that I miss the slight stretch in the laces because this allowed a softer touch for the top of my feet. now the tops of my feet are getting painful. Please contact me asap. I need shoes so I can run, as not advised to run barefoot with spinal fusions. PLEASE HELP!

loved every part of these when I tried this on in the store. After wearing my pair for two days, I had a giant blister on the top of my right foot where the tongue folded over. I went back to the 6s

This is the first pair of Altra shoes I have sent back. They typically fit me, and I have loved every pair. I can't give this shoe a good rating because it did not fit me but Altra shoes have been great for me typically.

Tongue is too soft inside the shoes, the sides of it fold over and bother my Instep

This isn't your Torin favorite. The toebox is narrower. For me, unwearable. Sad that Altra can't leave a good thing alone.
