Normally, I have to break in new running shoes before they feel comfortable. With these newly redesigned Altra Torin 7 shoes, no breaking in is necessary. They fit perfectly and feel great right out of the box. I love the raised up collar on the upper part of the heel that holds my foot like a glove, and the padding on the tongue that keeps it from digging into my foot when I run. The inside of the Torin 7 is cushioned well and gives good support for walking or running. My feet remain cool because the top surface of the shoe is mesh and does not hold in the heat from my foot. The shoelaces are the perfect length - not too long and not too short. I am so impressed with these running shoes that I plan to buy another pair to wear with my scrubs in my healthcare job. My feet will be so much happier.

I love these Torins! They are lightweight and have really great cushion. I also love the colors - the yellow looks so fast. It may not make me faster, but I FEEL faster!

The updated tongue and cushioning are amazing. This is the Torin update we have all been looking for. Can't wait to put many more miles on this!

Wonderful update. The improvement to the tongue is superb. Only flaw is when I take a step, the fabric creases and makes a pop that my big toe feels, but definitely can look past that because of how comfortable the shoe is!

I use the Torin to do casual 10K runs. It is the perfect everyday trainer. This version is plush and cushiony and has no issues with the tongue.

What I loved about the Torin is back. Great shoe with added cushion for a great ride. Truly a must have shoe in your closet!

LOVE this new version! Softer, cushier ride - reminds me of the 4.5! And the soft, plush tongue is perfect. I expect to spend many many miles in the Torin 7!

I own many pairs of Altra's and the Torin 7s are my new favorite!

The Torin 7 takes it's spot back as my favorite road running shoe. I have been running in Torins for quite some time but was quite disappointed with the 6. However, Altra listened to the consumer, heard the complaints and redesigned the 7 perfectly. The tongue is no longer bothersome.. its suuuper soft and a perfect length so no more irritation. The cushion is so excellent as it is responsive and has just the right amount bounce. It also feels slightly lighter than the Torin 6. One tiny issue is that the shoe laces feel slightly too short. Overall, I am really happy with this shoe.

The forefoot took a day to break in for me, and it's the nice comfy fit I expect from Altra. I'll run in a pair and wear a pair for everyday to work.

This is my first pair of Altras, a friend asked if I wanted to join her relay team and everyone got to try a pair of the new Torin 7s before they rolled out. I've been running in either Saucony (Kinvara, Ride) or Hokas (Mach 5, Clifton, Kawana) for the past several years so I was excited to try a new to me brand/style of running shoe. These are so supportive and comfy! I didn't even notice that the heel to toe has a zero drop. They offer plenty of cushioning without the heaviness. I felt like I was flying on clouds running in them. I've now added them to my regular easy run rotation. Have not tested them on a long run as I am early in building miles for my fall marathon, but consider me hooked on these. I got the blue color and it's perfect. I can't wait to spend the summer running in these shoes! Highly recommend!

The first thing I noticed was the sole and how comfortable it felt. I also noticed right away that the tongue is softer and doesn't rub on my foot. And the heel is shaped a little differently and also feels nice. I included pictures of my Torin 6 and Torin 7 side by side so hopefully you can see the improvements. Trust me, they made a good shoe even better! I feel like I have a heavy stride and these shoes are so comfortable to wear while working out!

I always love running in the Torin, but the 7 brings it up a notch! I am SO happy about the tongue of the shoe being so soft (this was a struggle for me in the past!). No more issues there anymore!

I've had numerous models of the Torin and I gotta say the Torin 7 is by far the best! The fit is perfect for my foot and it runs 100% true to size. A little cushion, light on the foot! Love this shoe

Usually when brands update the shoes I love, I feel like there's a lot they left out from the previous version, but not so with these! I'm loving the new Torin! Same solid support and cushion, great ride too!

I've been looking to find a road shoe that feels supportive enough and that doesn't leave me feeling beat up after a road run. I'm a trail runner who struggles on road but this shoe is amazing! 10/10!

I've pretty much had every single Torin that Altra made. It's my favorite shoe they make. Altra 5 was tough with the tongue being very stiff, but that was fixed with the 6. For anyone worried, the tongue is perfectly fine on the 7 too! I wore this for a total of 12 miles, all on the same day, fresh out of the box, on a 4 mile run with the rest of the miles made up by walking. They felt really great without any sort of break in period. They were light, responsive, supportive without feeling like too much shoe, and my heel felt locked in. They have the wide toe box that I really appreciate the most out of the Altra brand. I could see myself wearing these for 5Ks all the way up to 100Ks, which is something I've done with the Torin 6. Really looking forward to wearing these more.

Feels like I have not taken them off since I first put them on. They are lightweight but well-cushioned, and easy to run with. They don't feel clunky like some running shoes do. The only issue I have found is that with thicker socks, the toes are a little narrow to wear those with but it is not a common issue.

I use this for the roads and non technical trail/dirt road. I've been wearing the Torin for years and this is a great update! The fit feels super nice and the cushioning is good but still responsive.

This version of the Torin is absolutely wonderful! The Torin 7 comes with a significant improvement to the upper and even a more cushy outsole so a win-win from all fronts.

I'm not usually a fan of a higher cushion shoe, but I absolutely love these and will definitely buy a second pair! These felt great for recovery runs and had enough response for some faster pickups.

I've never had shoes with so much cushion before. They are completely different than any Torin I've worn before which made me so happy. The tongue is soft. These are my new favorite shoes!
