Zipper malfunctioned and unzipped from the bottom on the second day of owning it. Hasn't happened since, but it was pretty disappointing from a brand new jacket

I loved the material and design, but fit was not good. I wear a XL in everything, bought a XXL, and it still was way tight in the shoulders.

A very handsome, lightweight jacket. I haven't checked it in real cold weather yet but if it's warm ,it's a winner ! L.L.Bean seldom disappoints.

To be honest, it is not a price worthy. I was expecting something else, than what I've got for $199 + shipping cost

I recently bought this jacket for myself. Before purchasing I thoroughly researched the type of insulation and and its properties. After its arrival I compared it in the cold to my wife's 850 down jacket that I purchased from LL Bean. Both claimed to be in the "warmer" category but hers is much warmer. It's a nice jacket and warm to an extent. But it shouldn't be in the same warmth category.

Got this for Christmas. Was excited to get this jacket since I fly for my job and am constantly in airports. I needed something that could be packed away in my carryon when I'm not wearing it. I'm a XXL Regular. I found it to be tight around my belly when I sit down. Surely can't wear a thick sweater under it. I recommend you buy a size up. I'll still use it for travel, but not for every day use like my other jackets. Haven't tried it in a very cold environment. But I will soon to rate the warmth of it.

Jacket was delivered to me yesterday, 5 Jan. It looked great but seemed extremely light and thin - OK so far. Then I tried it on. I wear an XL across a variety of brands, so expected this jacket in XL to fit comfortably - but boy was I wrong!. It is FAR too small! I returned it today for a refund, and won't buy another LL Bean jacket until I can physically see it and try it on. Recommend the sizing be validated, because at least in XL it is more like a Medium.

Be careful with the sizing, this jacket runs small. I normally wear a 2XL but ordered the 3XL to layer underneath the jacket. The 3XL would not even come close to zipping up! Bummer as it is a great looking jacket!

Jacket is cut too small in the armpit area. I ordered an XXL like I always do to fit over heavyweight clothing. I could not move my arms forward with just a t-shirt on. It seems that LL Bean is making clothes tighter and fitted. Unlike their regular customers. Stop making clothes that only millennials want. That thinking has caused many companies to lose customers and to go out of business. I don't want that to happen to LL Bean.

This is a nice jacket that provides a good amount of warmth considering how lightweight it is, but it's not very durable. Owned for less than a month before it got torn open by my dog's claws.

I own two of these jackets and love them BUT both of the zippers broke within a YEAR. Won't be buying another until thet improve the zippers. Tom Browder

The jacket is nicely made, fits very well and does everything except keep me warm. It was about 35F this morning when I took a short walk and realistically it was about the same warmth as a cotton sweatshirt.

I really like the look of the jacket and it is very light. The fit is definitely on the slim side of things. I wouldn't say that it is a really warm jacket, so the heat review is accurate. The sizing is the problem with this item, but this may be a company wide issue. This should not be sold as a tall size because it is not. The sleeves ride up my arms the way a regular XXL jacket does. It's a shame, as I really like the jacket.

Product runs somewhat small. My son said the jacket was tight on his back. Unfortunately, I will need to take it back.

I had to return this jacket. Let me clarify. I love LL Bean products and have many of them. The jacket was really handsome and fit perfectly. But it just wasn't warm enough. I know they give ratings regarding what temperature the jacket is appropriate for. They're just not accurate. I was standing outside with a neighbor and it was probably 38 degrees outside and I was freezing. I would buy from Bean again but it would have to be a down jacket. If you want a light jacket good from about the low to mid 40's and warmer, this should suit you. But below zero as claimed? No way.

The fit has changed since I bought my last one over ten years ago. The fit is slimmer and not as comfortable as my old one. The fit is better for slimmer people and doesn't have the freedom of movement of my older Primaloft Packaway Jacket. They are both the same size. I've always been able to order LL Bean clothing in medium and have it fit, until now. Very disappointing, I'm going to return. I would recommend if you're a slim medium.

I returned this jacket because it did not keep me warm. Everything else was fine but it did not have enough insulation and it did not keep me warm.

I got a XL, too small. Got a XxLtoo small. Fabric is not very comfortable against the skin, no way to adjust hood. Fleece is a better option for me

The jacket is nice, well made, and light, but it's not warm at all. I've worn it in 40-60* weather, and been chilly in that entire range. I'm not someone who usually runs cold, either. Maybe I got one that was underfilled, but I don't think so. Not worth the money for something that is a little less warm than a sweatshirt.

I liked this jacket when I saw the ad. Just what I was looking for. Drive to the store to try on, fit at llbean can be a bit tricky at times. The large fit great. I bought it and when I got home I tried it. 40 degrees and 10 mph wind. It was like wearing nothing at all. Returned it. It really didn't feel like it had any fill at all. I tried it because the write up spoke of space age technology with the filling. Didn't live up to my expectations, really felt more like a windbreaker. Sorry for the less than stellar review but this one didn't make the grade.

Quality was not in the range of price and the jacket was far too small. I ordered Large (42-44) Men's and what I received would barely fit a teenager .... and certainly would not fit a large teen. The weather was getting colder and I needed a coat, so I checked out local BURLINGTON STORE .... I purchased a better jacket for $24.95 ... This was 10% of the price I paid for the above LL Bean jacket .... LL Bean has quality products I know .... this is not one of them. Don

The jacket has a funny fit. I ordered a large, which is what every coat I own is, including multiple jackets from LL Bean. I exchanged it for a XL but all it did was get longer. I would say it is a slim fit. It was binding in the shoulder and upper arm. The body was fine. I had to return the XL. Bummed. I was replacing a jacket from ll Bean that I have worn for about 10 years.

The ad stated the coat had a hood and the photo showed a hood but what I received had no hood. I returned it stating I wanted a hood. They shipped me another one but it didn't have a hood. I returned both for a refund and ordered a Columbia with a hood. Very pleased with the Columbia.

Sizing is way, way off. I ordered an XL, which comfortably fits me in products from all other (similar) brands. This jacket was far, far too small - more like a Medium from other vendors.
