Initial impression was very positive. Jacket is well made, color contrast is a good match and the fit is perfect. Have not had a chance to wear it in cold weather yet, but I'm sure it will do well.

Excellent jacket and midlayer. Bought this for a trip to the mountains and needed insulating layer that could still be worn under a rain jacket. It fits nicely, compresses well, and is warm. It sheds light rain/mist well. I like that it is not down, but works about as well as down, just doesn't seem to compress quite as well as down.

I am 5'7" with a 32 waist and 39/40 chest. The M is a great fit. The hood fits well around my head so I don't expect the hood to flap around in the wind, allow full visibility and provide warmth. That is the remaining question for me is if I have 2-3 layers underneath will I be comfortable in 40-45 degree weather. We will see this fall, early winter.

This is my second one and I absolutely love this jacket! Lightweight, warm, packs down to next to nothing and does a great job of keeping the wind off you. Elastic piping around the cuffs and hood are great, hood remains nice and snug in windy conditions. One of my go to layers for fly fishing, old one had taken a number of hooks and it was time to replace. Well constructed and durable, internal and external chest pockets are great.

Light weight, but warm enough as a layer. Love the packable feature.

Light weight easily package jacket. Grateful for long tall size for 6'4" hubby. Fits well and good for weather transition from winter to spring!

This coat has the best hood. Every coat I own with a hood flops down over my eyes. This hood covers my head and does not flop down over my eyes and I do not have to hold the hood so it stays where it should be. This coat fits me great and I am also able to wear a fleece underneath when it is cold. Great color. I get a lot of compliments on the color.

Bought for my husband to take to Alaska. He is already wearing and super happy with it. We live in the Chicago area.

The Ackerman is exactly what I was wanting. Warm but not bulky and for my local climate the right jacket for maximum usage.

I like the look of this jacket. Good color combo and nice chevron stitch design instead of standard blocks. The chest pocket is nice also. Good quality zippers. Warm and lightweight. I bought a large and it fits well, maybe a little tight. If I was to wear layers with a thick sweater I would need an XL.

I love the weight and warmth. The hood fits snuggly and doesn't flop around. Being a packable jacket I feel the arms are a little snug and on the short side but I guess that's to reduce bulk. I wish the color would lay flat when unzipped because it seems like the corner is flipped up into my neck and chin but this is a common issue with many jackets. Overall a great jacket at a great value.

This is a very good light weight jacket with a hood. Good to 30 degrees.

This jacket is the only one he has worn since it arrived. He finds it slips on and off easily and is lightweight for car travel but super warm in our windy Ohio winters.

This coat is unbelievably light yet warm. I kept the tags on for a few days because I didn't believe something this thin could keep me warm in 30 degrees, but I was warm, so the tags are off and I am very happy.
