My wife got one of these a couple of years ago and loves it.
I've had mine for a few days now, and am loving it too!
Some reviews say this jacket isn't particularly warm, but I disagree. For a packable jacket that weighs less than a pound, it performs quite well. Bean says it works best when worn over a mid-weight layer. This is what I've done, and the jacket is roomy enougheven when worn over my thickest hoody. Note: my chest measurement is 42 inches and I bought a size large.
I live in the central Midwest part of the U.S., where winter mornings can start in the teens, but warm up to the 40's or 50's by afternoon. This makes my new primaloft pack away perfect for the region, as I can take it off when it warms up and just wear my mid-weight hoodie. Would this jacket work for single digits and below zero? Probably not, but that's not what it's meant for. I have my Bean 3 in 1 jacket for that. Otherwise, why bulk up like the Michelin man?

I've been wearing this in 40F temps during my walks. It feels very lightweight yet has never felt cold or drafty. The outer material is quite soft and the hood gives it an even better temperature range. At 5'11", 175#, I find the XL Tall is a very comfortable fit, although the fit guide recommended simply an L size.

lightweight feels great. just enough room for a sweatshirt of sweater. Highly recommend if you're looking for something light but can provide some warmth.

Warm but very thin and light. At 6'1" 205 lbs with 36 in shirt sleeve XLT is what I ordered and it fits snugly in body though sleeves seem shorter than the XLT usual but still long enough. Just that I did not expect so trim a fit. Admittedly I usually am wearing a sweater beneath; since the coat isn't lined by design and Is constructed of such slick material, it almost seems chilly when I put it on. These are comments and not criticisms. l am OK with it, and being so closely fit and also very slick it will comfortably layer under my LLB field coat same size purchased several years ago, which has always seemed on the large side of things. If this were my only coat I'd probably send it back and go for something more bulky and relaxed in fit.

This light weight jacket is incredibly warm and it is packable. I can fold it in itself and fit in a backpack on airline travel.

Lightweight and warm. Zero bulk. I can wear it under my waders and it doesn't interfere with casting.

I like the jacket a lot. I purchased the green one because the chest pocket was the same color as the jacket. I keep my home a little cool, so I use it as a sweater at home. Or if it's really cold outside, then a double jacket. When it gets a little warmer outside, I'm sure it will handle any weather perfectly.

Great jacket. Wear it all year/all seasons. Nice having a hood for weather changes. Washes up great. This is my second jacket - wore out the first one as it is so useful.

This lightweight jacket performs as described. I live in the Midwest and the temps fluctuate 40F throughout the day around spring time. This jacket is perfect. I look forward to bringing it along on my backpacking trips since it conveniently packs down into a small pouch that fits perfectly into any exterior pocket on the pack. I highly recommend this product.

Great jacket with most the features of other more expensive brands. When I buy XL jackets the sleeves are always too long. But not this jacket.
Definitely recommend.

I did not expect it to be so versatile. It is not as warm as a down puffer jacket, but it is as light or lighter. The inner and outer fabric are both extremely fine and soft and smooth on my skin. I have found it very comfortable to wear inside during the winter cozy, yet weightless, less than a pound. It is much more functional than a sweatshirt, a sweater, or a flannel shirt. It looks good and functions as a light jacket worn outside. The large zipper pockets and the hood are very helpful.
