This bag is made well. I ordered a large in the olive color. The material is strong, nice colors. The camo interior lining doesn't bother me. I assume it will be easier to hide stains. Waterproof canvas feels sturdy. Perfect for picnics, soccer games, etc. I. Love. This. Bag.

I have an old LLBean open top tote someone gave me years ago that continues to hold up but had never ordered anything myself. Was pleased with the free shipping delivered in less than a week, can't beat that. I ordered this bag in Navy/Olive, Large. Other reviewers were caught off guard by the camo lining but LLBean must have updated the description by the time I read it because it was no surprise for me. I don't mind it but a plaid design would be great in future generations of this bag. I had originally intended to just use it for errands and day trips but this bag is attractive and big enough that I would consider using it in lieu of other luggage for extended vacations. It is slightly darker than pictured which was a plus for me as the darker color looks more masculine (to me). While the Navy is my preferred color I may have to order the Gray bag as well. Also will probably get the Medium size in the near future to carry items to and from work. Haven't had it long or put it through much stress but it looks to be excellent quality and I have faith that it'll hold up to whatever punishments my life has in store for it. Am very very pleased with this purchase.

This tote is perfect! Lightweight and color combo is super cute! The camo interior doesn't bother me, and I like it because it is outdoorsy and I don't have to worry about keeping it clean. Mine is monogrammed and it couldn't look more perfect! Thank you L.L Bean!

I have an older waxed canvas boat and tote from LL Bean and was excited to see them back in stock. I ordered khaki, olive and navy. The canvas is not quite as heavy as the older version, but at 8 oz. it is fine. The bag is lined in an easy to clean camo pattern. This is a simple, sturdy bag I will use for everything - work, shopping, casual out and about. The colours are rich and lovely, classic LL Bean. The waxed canvas will acquire a nice patina over time. I got three because I had a 25 per cent off code and sometimes my favourite Bean items disappear and don't come back!

Love this bag to carry my things when we go out on the boat. The one thing it needs is a strap.

I bought this well made tote to use for travel, shopping, to carry work related projects/documents and as a 'purse' in this coming winter's rain and snow. The medium tote is the perfect size for my needs and I love the deep burgundy color. Reason for the 4-stars: the wax coating shows every scratch mark from the slightest handling. Maybe once I consistently use the tote the markings won't be so noticeable on the dark color.

I love the bag itself. I had my last name put on it and i used the thread color suggested and you can't see the writing at all. I with i would have gone with a cream or really light color.

Great bag: inner zip pocket, key fob, waxed exterior and outside pocket. Great weight and balance. Easy to carry. Simple. Perfect everyday bag. And I HATE carrying any type of purse.

This bag looks good, is really spacious, and tough. However, for all the things it can carry, the straps are not thick/ comfortable enough.

If the handles were longer I would have given it 5 stars

Nice bag but thinner than I thought it would be. I might even buy another. Price a bit high for something I can only spot clean.

I wanted it as a purse which is working out well but would have liked it a tad smaller and handles a tad longer.

I love this bag- perfect for what I wanted, my only complaint is the material picks up lint and fuzz like crazy! I would still purchase it but maybe in a lighter color( I got Navy) but still a great everyday bag!

I purchased this bag because I needed a bag to carry all my stuff to work, and it fits everything in it. I just wished the handles was a little bit longer.

Great like the old Boat and Tote, I love the front pocket and the zip-top! I always get my stuff monogrammed and that looks amazing, and it arrived super quick! The only problem is the handles are TOO SHORT

I love this bag for its size and its construction. It needs longer handles and another interior pocket to make it absolutely perfect.

Love the tote in waxed canvas as it makes the bag very durable. Just wish the handles were a bit longer for putting it on my arm.

I would suggest a laptop/tablet pocket sewn into interior on opposite side of bag from key pouch. Overall good bag very functional

This is a very nice bag. It's roomy and very functional! The only thing I would change about it, if I could, is to give it metal rings so I could attach a strap and wear it cross-body style.

The only thing that could make this better would be a detachable shoulder strap! Then it would be 5-stars!!

The straps should be a little longer, otherwise it's a great bag

Its sturdy and the perfect size i would have given it 5 stars if the arm straps were just a little longer.. but that could be " just a me" issue
