It's very sturdy, and I love the camo inside lining. I was needing a durable travel / weekend bag, and this bag definitely fit the bill. The style is truly a classic timeless look. I highly recommend!

This is a great bag, very comfortable on the shoulder. I've been using it as a purse and work bag.

I've had my eye on this for a while. I do not understand the negative reviews. The material feels great. Much lighter than LLB's Boat & Tote but still super sturdy. I ordered in Khaki with the olive handles and it looks great! The leather logo and the camo lining look good together with this bag. I get that some may not like the camo but it grew on me especially with the color bag I bought. I use it mainly for day trips (extra shirt and socks, a book, my phone, umbrella and a few other small items). I actually love it so much that I ordered another just in case this is discontinued. I plan to order another in Large if the color I want comes back in stock. Even my mother complimented this bag which I did not expect from her. The medium would also work well as a work bag, which I may use it as such on rainy days. I would buy again and definitely recommend. Thank you LLB!

I have enough tote bags but having bought the Large Waxed-Canvas Tote in Navy/Olive last year I decided that I needed a Medium which will be the perfect size to carry my appointment book, lunch, equipment, small umbrella and hat back and forth to work. I have never been a fan of what I perceive to be a wet/oily feel of waxed canvas but the functionality just makes sense in the rain and snow as I am able to just wipe moisture off the bag. It has a classic, timeless look so the style along with the quality says it will last forever. A plaid interior would be great but the camo isn't a deal breaker at all, brightens up the bag and has grown on me. As several other reviewers noted, the gray does look darker in person as did the navy bag from last year but it's fine giving it a more masculine appearance in my mind. These Waxed-Canvas totes may be the only bags you'll ever need unless you have Tote Fever like I do.

Great tote for travel and home. Durable, hundreds of uses!

I was looking for a large bag to haul around paints, brushes, smaller canvasses and pallets to outdoor painting classes. This fit the bill perfectly, and I love the fact that the bag itself is fairly light in weight. It handles all my supplies with room to spare. I choose this particular bag because of the inside zippered pocket which keeps my cell phone and wallet out of view and easy to get to. The inside lining is easy to clean, another bonus.

I love his bag, using it as a fall cool weather bag. I got the khaki/olive. It's beautiful. Very sturdy and well made this is the medium size one, and it hold tons of things couldn't ask for a better bag. Thanks llBean

Cant believe how much this tote holds!! Love it so much got the smaller size too. Waxed outside keeps items dry, zipper top is great for keeping items secure and sturdy straps means no worries and has a nice material inside that makes it very easy to clean.

I just received my bag In khakis and olive and I love it!!! The bag is durable and water proof , I live in Seattle, rain constantly. It has green camo for the lining and I love it, I don't understand the dislike of the lining from others, it works with the olive and khakis color very well. It has an inner pocket with a key chain lanyard for your keys, it's roomier than I expected and the front pocket looks really cool with the leather label it looks vintage Indiana Jones style. Only thing I wish the straps were longer. Very happy with purchase.

The waxed-canvas bag is the perfect size for all my daily items I carry back and forth to work. Then come the weekend, it doubles as an over night bag. Great construction and looks!

Well made! Straps are stitched and attached well. Sturdy zipper should last a lifetime! I like the inside pocket for my phone, plus there's a nice key fob in the pocket. I ordered the largest, and it's plenty big enough for a weekend trip! The inside lining looks great with the blue/green bag. Strong fabric that won't tear under weight, inside and out. I love it!

Love this tote, it has room to stuff with all the extras and then some and it is built sturdy. The zipper top is great to keep all your things secure inside, and the waxed canvas keeps it protected from moisture. I love it so much I want to get the medium one too! Highly recommend.

I've been wanting this tote for awhile now but it's been on backorder for some time online. I went to the nearest L.L. Bean store today for a jacket and they just happened to have had one large tote left in the color I wanted. **The grey color is slightly darker in person than the online photos** but other than that it's perfect. It's nice and durable. It does have the weathered look that has markings here and there all over the bag but in my opinion it just adds to the bag giving it almost like a slightly vintage look to it. I love the zipper closure at the top to keep everything inside. As soon as I bought this I used it at the mall to carry things in and then went to the grocery store and filled it up without a problem. Has a nice size storage pocket on the inside that also zips so it's great for your wallet, phone, keys etc. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a tote.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. It wasn't available on the internet so I called the store in Maine, spoke with a most delightful woman who assured me the one he wanted was there and would be sent. Arrived in time and is exactly what he wanted. Perfect size, dark weathered waxy canvas. Camo design inside looks perfect with this tote. This baby is going to last forever. I got lucky and picked up the burgundy/navy bag in-store today. The waxed canvas is substantial & I love that it is water repellent. Funny, when I unzipped the bag and saw the camouflage print lining, I was pleasantly surprised. I think it gives the bag more edge and personality than a plaid or solid would. Ultimately, I don't really care what the inside of the bag looks like so much. I was in the market for a durable, nice-looking bag for weekend trips, and this definitely fits the bill! Bonus- this one has an interior zipper pocket, and an outer slip pocket, which the regular canvas boat & totes don't have. I know I'll use this one for years- I have several other L. L. Bean canvas totes that have stood the test of decades of use!

This bag is the perfect size to go out shopping. Plenty of room to place in your shopping items while out at the mall. The waxed canvas is so smooth to the touch and repels water nicely. The outside pocket is very handy for your cell phone and any other items. I had it monogrammed with my initials. The inside pocket is large and very well made. Inside the pocket has a strap and a clip for your keys, etc. Also the inside fabric is camouflage! I was in the Army and it is a nice touch! Also I like the idea that the top has a zipper to close and keep your items safe inside. I just love LL Bean products!

I bought this tote for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She really likes it and is using it for a daily purse. It is well made, there is a pocket inside that is good for small things and it is quite roomy. Her only concern is she will put too much stuff in it!

I love this bag! It is big enough to carry necessities and extras, but not too big. It is great to take to the kids sporting events as you can easily access what's inside and easily place stuff in it. I bought one for a gift and the person also loves it.

This bag was exactly as advertised. Very big and roomy - I can put everything in it! I don't know why people complain about the camo lining. I think it looks great!

Like that this water resistant. Great for NW weather. Don't care for camo lining. Wish handles were a tad longer. Very happy with llbean service.
