Really like the bag's quality and look, but just wish the strap was longer.

Do not like must this color, look like it was staning and dirty with something , I wanted the black color , but was not available and I had no time to wait , otherwise I like the setting style and strong matterial and strong sewing

This is a great bag, very durable and roomy. I love the color and the interior plaid liner. My only complaint is I wish the straps were just a bit longer. I'm taller at 5'8" (and guess I have longer arms), and when trying to put it on my shoulder, it's a bit tight. Overall, I love the bag and will use it as my work bag for many years to come and hopefully the straps stretch just a bit.

Good size and color, although appearance is a bit " distressed" and I'm not a fan.. perhaps an element of the dye job. Meets my needs for zippered bag to take on planes.

I am happy with the bag in regards to it's sturdiness and size. If there is anything I would like it would be somewhat shorter handles.

I don't mind the white wash marks. The bag is suppose to look distressed. Great size. I like the plaid interior and the inner pocket.

I just wish it had more inner organization and that it was able to stand on its on. Otherwise nice weekend and errand bag.

I really liked the bag and planned on taking it to Europe shortly. However, when I tried it with my jacked on, the straps were too short and the bag did not give me enough space under the arm. Returned.

I use this bag daily to bring my belongings to and from work. It's plenty big enough to fit a lunch, laptop, and more. The canvas is not as firm as the standard tote, but it's not flimsy either. I love the interior and exterior organization pockets as well as the key line. I put it over my shoulder easily and comfortably. Some reviewers seemed to have a problem with that, but not me. I'm 5'4" and about 140lb. The handles are on the softer side, and they get bunched up and wrinkle easily (why I took off one star). This doesn't affect their function, but it doesn't look great either.

I love this bag. It's light, made well, waterproof. I love the size medium. Perfect for everyday use. I wish it came in better colors. If it did, I'd buy different sizes. I couldn't get the color I wanted. The waitlist was projected months away. Clearly, this is a popular item and it would be in the company's best interest to expand the colors and availability. 4 stars due to color limitation

At first I was surprised at the marks on the bag but it's the character of the waxed canvas & now looks natural & I prefer the look . Love the color. Main purpose was a zippered bag that was big enough for purse & other items but not bulky. It could be a tad bit stiffer to stand up more but not a deal breaker by any means. I have np problem with the straps going over my shoulder. Very satisfied .

While not as sturdy and heavy duty as the original canvas totes, my purse, laptop, jacket, travel pillow and reading material for my flight fit quite well AND because of its flexibility it easily slid under the seat in front.

This is a great bag if you want to carry it exclusively by the straps "satchel style". It's a nice size & the material is great. The straps can just barely fit to carry the bag on your shoulder, but once there's weight added I'm afraid it wouldn't work. I wanted more strap length so I returned.

The large accommodates my extra hiking boots, jacket, a couple maps and books, spare Nalgene, iPad, and room for a few odds & ends. I believe it will last a long time. I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars because I expected it to stand up on its own (easier for loading) like my other canvas totes from llbean which it does not, it's nearly as collapsible as my soft sided tote.

This tote carries everything I need for the day to work. It's not a heavy waxed bag, just soft enough. I like the camo liner , gives it some flair.

Purchased online. Received bag promptly and I wasn't wowed at first. Used bag for the first time last night to carry towels to the pool and really changed my mind. I love how it feels and the design. The only caveat is the lack of length in the handles, I like to throw bags over my shoulder. I am slightly overweight so it most likely would be fine for someone of normal weight. Yes, the liner is camouflage, not my favorite but who other than you will see it? Plus your stuff will cover it. Also saw bag in store and people had scratched at the exterior and so the bag was covered in scratches, this is my first waxed canvas anything so perhaps that's normal. I have a feeling though that this bag through the years will acquire a great patina.

Ordered for a gift. She didn't like the colors, so, I returned and re-ordered a canvas. I had it monogrammed but it was still returnable.

I was excited to receive this tote until I opened the package. I wanted to use this tote on an upcoming road trip but the wax coating shows every scratch mark. The tote arrived with a large white crease across the front; it already looks used and abused. I'll keep it and use tote in the car but never in public. The tote is not the quality I expected from an L L bean item; I hope the wax coating doesn't disintegrate in hot weather. The plaid lining is nice with a small inner pocket and key clip.

The bag material is great. Everything about it is great EXCEPT I wish it had a shoulder strap. I am using it as a carry on bag for my cpap. It is heavy to carry around full with only hand straps. Then it had to be in the crook of my arm and I could only do that for a little while. I know the picture and description didn't say shoulder strap but usually bags like this have the option.

This is a nice bag but I will be returning it. I bought it with the intention to use as a work bag. I'm a nurse so I work long shifts and like to carry my water bottle, misc. snacks and lunch in my bag with my normal purse contents. The handle drop is 8" which is not long enough to comfortably fit on your shoulders. I'm an average size woman and this was shoved up into my armpit with a thin sweatshirt on so it clearly will not work with a jacket. Again, very nice bag but I'm returning because it just won't work for what I need it for.

I like the bag size but disappointed it does not have a hard bottom.

I was so excited about this bag, but felt let down when I received it. I had my initials put on the bag and that came out nice. I love the lining and the overall color scheme of the bag, but the handles are kind of short for the size of the bag. The biggest thing I didn't like is that the bag looks dirty. I guess this is the result of the bag being waxed canvas? It makes a bag that is NEW, look dirty and worn. Honestly, if I hadn't put my initials on the bag, I would have returned it and looked for something else.

My patch is upside down? Bought it at the flagship store in Freeport . Not sure why it would be sewn on upside down?? Otherwise, like it

I wanted a bag like the old bag I got from you. I really liked the long handles on the old ones. My new one has handles that are much shorter. I'm not returning it though. I'm hoping this will work out.

It's well made and very nice looking but the medium size is about the size of a womens pocket book. I would have traded up to the larger size if I had not got it monogrammed. I wanted it for a shoe bag for travel but can only fit about two pair in the medium size
