I have bought many pairs of the old design. The new design is deficient. Much cheaper construction but not sell price. The construction of the socks has been radically modified from a regular sock to a small stretch sock that is about 1/2 of what they used to be. I will not buy them again.

They shrunk like crazy. I was aware that this might happen so I bought extra large. I have small feet for a guy 8.5 US. They shrunk from 14 inches to 11 inches. I will try to post photos

I bought these socks for my husband in his usual size as recommended by description. I washed them on delicate cycle and air dried. Barely big enough for me, they might fit a child. I would have returned or exchanged if it were not too much trouble.

Way too small. I thought these were children's socks. Very disappointed.

Last time I ordered these, I got the largest size available, but they were still too small. And judging by the reviews, it appears that this has been a problem for a couple of years. I don't understand why Bean can't simply go back to the way they were. I will order these again if and when the reviews improve.

These are kid sizes, not one size fits all. I don't need 50 letters to say this.

Bought a size bigger based on reviews. Shrunk in wash. Still so tight, they're uncomfortable to wear. Disappointed. Going back!

Extremely small compared to previous socks (same style) purchased in past. Called LL bean to return and to my disappointment they would not pay for return shipping.

Returned.. TOO thin, and short. Not what I'd call a cotton ragg sock.

These particular socks are sized incorrectly. We bought large and they were extremely small. Our reorder will be for XL to make certain they fit

The socks are very comfortable but the sizes are not accurate. Buy two sizes up if you buy these socks. Unsatisfied customer

These socks were sold as mens socks. They are so small, they should be sold as children socks. Please make them to fit large men.

Poorly made, over priced, LL Bean once again, going in the wrong direction.

I've gotten these socks before and rely on them. This year's socks are barely a crew sock. They are much shorter on the calf, have less weight to the material, and are just a huge letdown. They look like children's socks when held up next to previous year's socks. I gave them a younger family member.

I've always ordered women's COTTON ragg socks from LLBean. These ARE NOT THOSE SOCKS. These are stretchier like a synthetic, extremely smaller, all around tighter and don't feel like cotton but more like a stretch fabric. They're awful compared to the older cotton ragg socks from LLBean in my drawer. I have to ask LLBean why and where are your traditional cotton ragg socks?

I ordered extra-large socks. They just arrived and it says extra-large on the label. But they are tiny! I couldn't even get them on my feet. My normal shoe size is 10 and a half, so I figured extra large socks would be large enough. Not even close! I'll never buy socks from LL Bean again. It's not worth the hassle of trying to return them, I'll just donate them to Good Will, maybe some little kid with tiny feet can use them.

Too small, very different from ones purchased in the past. These had been loose and comfortable which is what my husband was looking for. Returned them.

Bought these to replace a pair that was 2 years old. The sizing is WAY off and they look like a kid's sock. I even returned the first set (a medium) and bought a large (I'm only a women's 8) and they are still way too small and short! They also squeeze my foot and are not loose like my older pair. I'm so disappointed because I love my old pair and these are expensive for what they are.

Bottom line is they shrink extensively. I'm a US Mens' size 8.5/9 shoe. I bought the X-Large assuming if they shrank, they'd still fit. My assumption was right but just barely. I don't expect these socks to last.

Socks are sized wrong or labeled wrong. No way will a size L will fit a 9-12 size foot as the size chart says. Way too small.

I've been buying these cotton ragg socks for years, they are comfortable and long-lasting. Just bought a new two-pack about a month ago -- they were so tight, I thought I got the wrong size, and the bottoms already feel like they are threadbare. Please go back to the old way of making these previously wonderful socks!

Walking in these socks doesn't take long before they start to feel like burlap. I do not recommend.

Z-L does not describe mens size, but unisex. Will not fit mens x-l foot.
