The texture of the socks are rough and they are too small.

These cotton ragg socks run small and are tight at the top. They shrank a lot when machine washed and dried. What happened to the comfy, non-binding cotton ragg socks that you used to carry? My husband loved those!

Sizing way off. Brought my large back thinking it was a small but it was in fact a large when compared to other larges in the store. See picture of last years large (2020) compared to this years large. Material seems thinner as well.

When people here tell you these socks are small, believe them.

I get the socks and they're so small, that they don't fit my feet. I thought they were adult socks (advertised as unisex) so not very clear about who would fit into sized medium socks. But I'm low on socks and don't have the time to return, and it's inconvenient to return (don't own a car, hard time getting around) so I have to wear socks that are too small and are uncomfortable on my feet.

These cotton ragg socks are a great thickness - just what I had been looking for. I bought the size for my shoe size and it fits my foot perfectly. However, I really, really wish they were longer and reached further up my calf. I was very disappointed when I realized how short they were.
I may buy these again because it is really difficult to find decent cotton ragg socks. But it won't be an automatic purchase.

These socks started out great...Soft cotton knit roomy size in an extra large..But alas they only last about 8 weeks wearing only once a week around the house on carpet only. I was looking for a good pair of soft comfortable socks to lounge around the house in..These were fine till after only about 8 weeks of wear they get a giant hole in the heel.
I bought several pairs over the last year and same outcome every time after wearing only once a week on carpeted floors and gentle washing ....they fall apart ..The heels are just weak...Would be nice to see the heel and toe reinforced to last more than a handful of times. Great socks if you don't mind shelling out a premium price every 8 to ten weeks to replace them..Very disapointing :(

OK LL Bean. Not happy with the new Cotton Ragg Socks. Ever since you put the color boarder on the top of them the quality has gone down. The yarn is thinner & the fit is loose & the slide around. I ordered a few for gifts for Christmas & am returning them & getting them the Merino Wool Ragg Sock. I'm stuck with the ones I ordered because I used a few times..I have a few pair of the older ones & they are wonderful. Nice & thick & down fall down..Get those back ...Please...Don't cut back on your quality..That's why I buy your product...Thank You

Found these socks a little too thin for my comfort - looking for something a bit heftier.

The new design has a patch sewn on to the toe part of the sock. The sock has always been an item I've looked forward to each year. It never had a patch sewn on the end of the toe. This years' new design causes my toes to rub against the thread from the added patch. It was very uncomfortable. I had to return the socks.

Comfortable Foot / sole, portion, but way too snug in the ankle / leg portion. They don't seem to stretch out either. I have tried wearing them for an hour or so at a time, at home, but they still want to constrict my ankle and actually feel uncomfortable, almost to the point of pain. I have very average ankles, not large at all, well-within the proper proportions of my size 9.5 Wide feet. These socks have been manufactured with too much spandex in the ankle part, making them too tight for healthy use. I will not risk having my circulation interfered with, so I will no longer wear them unless I cut open the ankle part vertically, which will probably allow them to slide down. Not at all satisfied with this product, and wish I could return them.

I was hoping to replace my old slouch socks, but these socks were uncomfortably tight. They didn't work for me, so I donated them.

Poor quality control. I wear a size 9 sneaker and ordered large. Even with the stretch, they were too small. I exchanged them for an XL pair. They were the same size! I returned them and am out the original six bucks in shipping.

Got these as Christmas gift. Wore one pair for a day and found them to be uncomfortable to wear. Looking at stitching I doubt these will last but a few months. Way over priced as are a lot LL Beans product anymore for the quality you get.

The sizing is wrong on the website
When I got them they were too small to fit me and I tried washing them in cold water hoping they might stretch but they shrunk even more!!!

Too small even with the stretch. not sure if the wrong size was packaged. This was supposed to be a medium but is way smaller than other LL Bean socks I have.

The socks fit like compression socks. They are cutting off the circulation on my calves! This is a safety hazard. The socks used to be cotton. Now it is too much spandex. I am requesting a refund!!!

Bought several pair of these socks in January. All have ripped through or have holes. When I reached out to customer service, I received a template reply. This isn't the LL Bean quality of experience that I remember. Such a shame.

Stretchy but not big enough. I am female and wear a size 11 shoe. Yarn too thick and stiff for my liking.

When I received these Adult Cotton Ragg Socks I was shocked. They were tiny. A normal ragg sock for women shoe size 8 measures about 8 inches from heel to toe. These newly arrived socks measure around 5 1/2 inches heel to toe. So, I wore them and yes, they did stretch out and they were warm but they were like wearing compression socks. I can't anyone with larger feet feeling comfortable with these socks.

I bought these for christmas, having bought many pairs in prior years. Usually would give 5 stars and highly recommend - THIS YEAR - was not the same cotton rag material, was tighter on foot and then shrank in 1 cold wash!!! Terrible - what happened?! Would love my money back and LL Bean - quality control! Go back to the rag socks manufacturer from prior years!

I purchased a Medium (for women size 6-10; I wear a women's 8.5). I can't even get my foot in them. Nothing like the ones I purchased two years ago. I'm very disappointed in these.

I was practically born wearing LL Bean and this is the first product I've owned (whether gifted, handed down or purchased myself) that was not just less than stellar, but actually pretty awful all around. I purchased these thinking they would be like the two pack I had bought a few years before, but they were so, so far from it. The amount of elastic in these socks make them impossible to both wash and wear. One wash on the coldest setting and one dry on the lowest heat setting immediately shrunk these to toddler size AND initiated holes in the toe seams. They take FOREVER to dry on low and completely fall apart on medium heat, so if you're trying to make these last, you'll need to air dry them for several days at a time. I've never in my life said this about ANY LL Bean product, but avoid these at all costs. They truly are a waste of your money.

I wore these once and then immediately got a hole in the top of them. They shrunk a lot too after washing in cold. Not very impressed
