Terrible! Even though I purchased XL, the elastic was so strong the socks were "shrinking" on my feet while I wore them. I've never had this happen before. I threw them out.

I had several pairs of the previous version of these socks and I loved them. The current version has less Raag cotton and a lot of stretchy material. They are very narrow and short and do not go up nearly as far on the calf. I wear a size 13 and previously ordered XL. These are just too small and I had to return them.

I've purchased L.L. Bean cotton Ragg socks for years, and these socks are totally different and an absolute disappointment. They are thinner, lack substance, and worst of all shrink down when washed so they are virtually unwearable. Despite a long history of purchasing L.L. Bean clothing, I will likely never again buy anything from L.L Bean again.

These socks are not cotton rag. They are tiny (a large didn't fit my size 9 feet) and made out of some sort of stretchy material. Not cotton rag.

Develop holes after only 2 uses and for the price this is unacceptable.

I wanted cotton rag socks that were loose fitting to wear around the house. These are stretchy and don't feel like cotton. I know you can't get all cotton anymore but they should feel a bit like cotton. I ordered both L & XL. I opened the XL and they are small. They might stretch to get on my feet but I wasn't looking for tight socks. Heel to toe on XL was 6 1/2 inches. If you are looking for loose fitting socks these are not them. Returning them all. Tried to upload a photo but couldn't for some reason.

These socks fell apart at the heel within 5 weeks of purchase. I wore them 2xs a week in various types of shoes.

I ordered and received, according to the packaging, an adult XL 13-15 Ragg sock. Ridiculous! Even though they would S_T_R_E_T_C_H to get on my foot, they would immediately contract into ankle-length, and slide off of my heel. These are TINY--maybe fit a man size 7 or 8. Photo below is the new, unwashed sock next to my size 13 foot, and the other is next to a pair of Gold Toe XL socks. Something is wrong, Mr. Bean! (Note: this would not let me upload the photos--but they are available if someone at LLB wants to see them!)

These are NOT true to size, they seem to be kids. The Ladies size 10 is far less than that.

Ordered XL socks and arrived with one sock 2" longer. Called and had another pair sent. Meanwhile second pair arrived, both socks small. Replacement pair small (although they say XL). Tired of dealing with this. Stretch socks out as much as possible before wearing. Both pairs considerably smaller than two pair of XLs I have had for years. Last time I will order these socks.

Cotton ragg socks are a rare and wonderful thing. Something that LL Bean has provided for me for many years, though each year they are on backorder from the start of the season. This year, ordered in November, I finally received them in February, but I was still happy to get them. However this year's batch is not the same as usual. After purchasing the XL size men's socks, they literally shrunk down to a child's size when washed. I wouldn't even have thought that this much shrinkage was possible. Time to shop for socks elsewhere.

After less than a week of owning these socks, a hole started to form in the right one along the seem. I was extremely disappointed.

I liked the knit of the sock, it was soft and a good thickness. Unfortunately the adult XL I ordered seemed like child's size. The two pack dock were different lengths as well. Shame they had to be returned.

When these socks arrived I had to double check my order because I was certain I must have accidentally ordered children's socks. I ordered XL, and the tag on the socks even says "size 13-15." I don't know on what planet these socks are "13-15" but it's not planet earth. Save your money, don't buy these socks unless you have tiny feet. And then maybe order XL just to be safe,

material stretches good and doesn't strangle your calves but when on and stretched the weave opens up making my foot feel like I'm barefoot. NOT WARM at all. I have to put on a pair of Footjoy socks over them to keep my feet warm.

Terrible waste of money and time. Waited months to get them. I ordered the largest size available for my husband who wears an 8 shoe. The socks were so tight when he put them on that they made his feet almost numb. Then I washed them in cold water and let them air dry. Shrunk so much I just threw they away.

Elastic reduces the size of this sock making a large look like a small. It stretches out to fit my foot but is tight and makes my toes feel squished. The elastic takes on a compression feel as well. I am so disappointed with these.

i ordered XL, and the socks barely fit my partner, much less my size 13s! She'll keep them, as they are of no use to me.

For me they are too restrictive for ragg cotton socks. I had hoped for a much looser slouchy fit, and these are definitely not that.

Socks look really warm. When put them on though, the knit is loose and wind just blows through them. When you walk on cold floors, it is like walking barefoot. Nice looking but not really useful for winter,
