The socks are nice but the stitching in the toe area is very poor. As soon as you try them on the threads expands easily so your toenail pushes through the material. Only a matter of time before you have a hole in the sock. I really wanted to like these socks but wasn't happy with how they were constructed.

These socks claimed to be Size 10-12. But because they were "unisex" they are much too small for men. Too bad, as the material seems pretty nice

Way way too small and snug - seems like they have shifted the design since my last pair that I purchased - my XLs fit like kids size - can't wear them

Too thin. Too tight. Not like my original pairs from a few years ago

I wear a size 11 men's, so ordered the Large, 10-12. What I received was tiny. At rest, unworn, they are half the length of my foot. I can get them on, but the weave is stretched so tight that it will obviously wear through quickly. They are obviously not substantial, certainly not unisex, and meant for women's fashion and around the house needs rather than actual wear. I will be returning them right away.

I received four pairs of the socks for Christmas. With first glance they were way smaller than I had hoped for. After wearing one pair twice there was a hole in the heel. another pair was only worn once and by the end of the day while only walking on my hardwood floors at home, there was a hole in the pad of the foot. The third pair is already showing signs of weakening after only two wears. We are longtime and loyal l.l.Bean customers I am sure this is a fluke but buyers beware the socks are certainly not worth the money.

These are more of an around the home fashion item than a functional pair of socks I can use hiking or snowshoeing. I bought 2 pairs and rarely wear them. Even so holes have developed in the heels of the socks. The loose weave provides minimal cushioning and warmth and lends the socks to wear out quickly.

I ordered a size large per my shoe size. After one wash and dry they shrank to a child size and I can hardly get them on. Very disappointed.

I have previously ordered ragg socks and was super pleased. However, these socks shrunk big time and I remain disappointed.

These socks are a disaster. Same price for 1/4 of the sock. Seriously, these socks shrank so bad they fit my 8 year old. Come on LL Bean!

The socks (2-Pack) I received were not the size they were supposed to be. The packaging said "Size Large" but the socks were definitely not "Large" or even "Medium." They were small, more like child-size. I will be returning them.

The mediums were to small, so I Bought large and they were the same size. I bought two pairs about four years ago. Love them, but this new style is way to small and tight to be ragg sock. Wish you'd go back to old style

What happened to last year's cotton ragg sock? I can't wear wool and thought I'd finally found the perfect cozy, lounge-around go-to cotton sock. Bought two three packs last weekend for this year's winter. After putting on the first pair, I went back and triple checked the packaging to be sure I didn't buy a child size sock because they are ridiculously small and not just in comparison to last year's exact same color/style/size sock but generally. Washed once and even smaller yet! Waste of money. I love Bean, but these socks are a major disappointment.

The size I ordered were extra large and I received socks marked extra large but they are no where near an extra large size, especially after washing. They are very narrow and small. Luckily they fit my wife and she likes them.

I have purchased a number of cotton ragg socks in the past and was completely satisfied. These particular socks were extremely small. I usually wear a large but the x-large were much to small. I hope LLBean will stock the old style again.

Purchased six (6) pairs of these online after receiving a pair my mother-in-law bought for me as a gift in an LL Bean Outlet Store.
After washing, they are unwearable due to their ridiculously small size. They barely come up over my ankles, and for winters in the Northeast, that's just not going to cut it!
Very poor quality and disappointed that LL Bean would sell such a poorly-made garment.

I have purchased rag wool socks from LL BEAN for years. I honestly thought I mistakenly bought a children's size. I will be returning these, what a drag.

These are not nearly as cute as the original version and the colors aren't great either. Sad to see you no longer carry the original version :(

I previously bought these socks and loved them. However, something has changed as these ones I just ordered are ridiculously small. Thought they were a child's large versus adult's. Saw other reviews noting the same issue. Disappointed again. Wish LL Bean was like it used to be. Very unfortunate.

I ordered a size XL 13-15, the socks were the length and width of a women's size 7, although labeled XL. These socks should be pulled from inventory. It is false labeling.

I was looking for loose fitting cotton socks to lounge around in. When I opened up the package and took the socks out I thought they were for a child. I had ordered the XL which the sizing says is for a side 13-15. I take a size 11 shoe. I did receive XLs. I put them on and they stretched out, but the fits was overly snug. Too much spandex. I wore each pair for about 2 hours each and couldn't deal with them. Disappointing, waste of money :(

These socks were very good-looking but on the first washing they shrank by at least an inch. Now no longer wearable.

I do not like these new socks. I do not like the addition of man-made material into the cotton rag socks. When it is hot out your feet sweat. I am waiting for cold weather to wear the new ones. I suggest going back to the old version that are 100% cotton.

I reordered the wonderful rag socks I have always worn. The new socks are half the size of my old socks and so tight that they make marks on my ankles and feet. Please bring back your comfortable socks. Cant wear these

The cotton rag socks that Bean sold previously were just what my feet needed . They were the right fit , no elastic, stayed where you put em and lasted . I wore them all 4 seasons . I work construction and have for 43 years . At this point my feet need to be comfy .
My wife and I went to the Bean store in NE PA . I walked to grab some socks and couldn't find the old style . I asked the shoe clerk and she showed me these . They DON'T FIT and the stiching where the 2 tone heel & toe connects tears . I just wore out my last pair of the originals and am now searching the internet for a new supplier .
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
