I was all ready to add to my corduroy collection, but after noting comments about new and unnecessary (!) pockets, I'm going to wait until they go back into hiding.

I'm not sure your Product Team is listening. This company is not the same LL Bean I used to love and buy from. I want to give it another shot, I really do. But the quality is just no longer there. Yes, the corduroy is soft but the thin blue pocket lining is just silly and unnecessary. Why those "pockets" at the very least are not the same color of the corduroy, is beyond me. In addition, they sag from the inside and the front of the shirt just does not lay flat. They are just not needed. Unfortunately and once again, returning product.

Not like the previous version of this shirt. Has inside pocket that goes across the bottom on both sides that is bulky and uncomfortable. Color of olive green not at all like the photo.

Poorly made, unattractive pockets made with blue fabric that showed through the white corduroy. Very disatisfied.

I love the soft, comforting feel of this shirt. Also i love that this shirt has 2 top pockets and 2 roomy hand pockets at the bottom of this shirt that keep my hands warn. I also love the beautiful colors this shirt comes in . I bought 2 of these shirts- one a gorgeous blue and one a gorgeous green . I get compliments on both, especially the green one. Im happy with my purchase of this. I reccomend this product if you like casual comfort and pretty colors. Thank you Blair!

Blue pocket material detracts if shirt is worn open over a t-shirt.

I have ordered many corduroy shirts in the past, they were wonderful, I was excited to order these shirts - new colors - but the fit is not the same at all. They are very boxy, and they are not true to size, I usually wear a Medium, wanted a large to wear a shirt underneath, but the Large was tight, needed the XL which made it look way to big. Disappointed in the new styling/fitting. Hope they bring back the older version.

I am a historically happy customer of LL Bean. Ordered and delivered: 2 (one pink, one black) Corduroy shirts : The inside of the pockets are a cheap, ugly blue, ugly material, which are crudely sown into the Corduroy shirts. You can see the ugly blue with the slightest movement of the shirt. Initially I was truly surprised at the poor workmanship, the shoddy material, the total failure of a minimum standard of fashion. Why LL Bean is selling these shirts is beyond reason. I should have sent them back. Used a scissor and tried to carefully cut the light blue cheap pocket linings out of the shirts, trying not to leave a pocket hole gap which would be seen from the outside of the garment. It was not a successful effort. Yes, I should have returned both of them. A few years ago I ordered a deep red Corduroy shirt. It remains excellent.

Disappointed as the interior pockets are denim blue and do not match the white shirt when it is open as an over shirt. Previously I loved the shirt when there were no pockets. If pockets are sewn they need to be the same color as the shirt. The size was good. I would not recommend this unless you purchase a blue shirt so it matches more closely.

The fit and fabric is beautiful. But, why blue pockets? Blue pockets are a really poor design choice for an otherwise lovely shirt. I returned the shirt due to the pocket color.

Always buy xlarge as I don't like clinging shirts. Couldn't even button this one up! I want the classic corduroy shirt back!!! The classic was roomy, longer and so comfortable!

I agree with the other one star reviews, the pockets suck and are in the side seam, very weird. I have ordered the cord big shirts in the past with no pockets and better colors, this shirt is not like the old cord big shirts. I just don't get why it has to be fixed if it's not broken. You had a great product just the way it was so leave it alone already! PLEASE BRING BACK THE CORD BIG SHIRT WITHOUT POCKETS!

This is NOT like the corduroy shirts I have been buying from you over the last 15 or 20 years. It is much heavier and longer and has 4 pockets2 breast pockets and 2 side pockets. Admittedly, it is better and more carefully sewn, is of thicker corduroy and has more bells and whistles (pockets) but the end result is something like a straight-jacket. Rather than having a nice flowing feel to it, the fabric is stiff, heavy and wholly unattractive. The extra length hits mid thigh and doesn't make proportional sense with any type of woman's pants, and the hip pockets add a minimum of 4" of lumpy width at the bottom Please bring back the old corduroy big shirts in all those beautiful gem like colors of years past. You really missed the marketing target in recent years and seen to have no sense of how beautifully colors can be expressed in corduroy

Ordered the red. Pocket lining is chambray blue and has a weird constellation.

The classic cordoroy shirt that I have bought every single year and have in almost every single color is now ruined. Why does it have side pockets? This makes no sense, it doesn't hang right, you cannot wear the shirt open with a T-shirt under it anymore because the lining of these pockets shows. Please get rid of these side pockets. Or keep this shirt but bring back the original. The original was the greatest shirt ever made.

I ordered the shirt in navy blue so the pockets are not noticeable, and I like having pockets

I have been buying the similar but different version of this shirt for years - the one with a chest pocket instead of the side slit pockets. The problem is the side slit pocket interior goes all of the way across to the center seam on both sides in a contrasting fabric, so if you wear it unbuttoned it is visible, and worse, if you button it, this long piece of fabric makes the front of the shirt drape funny.

Such a disappointment! I have three of the original ones and LOVE them. But the additional pocket adds bulk, and its cheap and unmatched lining fabric material makes the shirt itself seem cheap. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL DESIGN! I'm only one of many of your reviewers who have requested this over the years.

I like the original corduroy shirt and have four the only reason I gave this one star is that it still the high quality corduroy. I'm returning it to the Bethesda, MD store when I go that part of MD (I live in Annapolis, MD) for a nearby appointment. This shirt is more like a jacket now. I don't like the bottom pocket s, which add bulk even when empty. I don't like the shortened side vent. The shirt doesn't "swing" as the original and long term style did. Frankly, I'm sad about this. If the original style is revived I look forward to buying a new one as the first one I bought many years ago is so worn that I only wear it at home as a warming layer. thanks for the chance to share this feedback!
