The original corduroy big shirt was wonderful. Why, oh why tamper with a good thing.

I have been buying theses shirts for several years and DO NOT LIKE the most recent changes. I dislike having two breast pockets (really for women?) and HATE the side pockets. At least have two versions available. The previous without breast pockets and not side pockets and this version for those who like them.

I love the idea of this product, that is why I have purchased two over the years, but the fabric shrinks unmercilessly until the shirt is uncomfortable for me to wear. I am a size 8 and have bought a large each time because I want a comfy overshirt. They just shrink too small ... and the color fades quickly.

Pocket might make this shirt too small. My "older" shirt has no pockets and fits me. I ordered the same size as the one in my closet, but the new offering from LLBean is smaller.

I don't like this latest version of the corduroy shirt. Loved the old style without the change to the bottom edge, which seems to make it shorter than the original. Adding new colors to the original style would seem to me to be the best solution! I would buy more of those!

I had 4 or 5 of this corduroy shirt that I liked and wore for years. I wanted to give it another try and was sorely disappointed in the quality of fabric and construction. The inside pockets are a good addition, but seemed too large and the fabric too thin.

If you love the original corduroy shirts you will hate this new style. The pockets are awful! They ruin the line of the shirt with their weight. And, the colors don't match. I have four of the older style, one needed replacement.. This replacement however was so disappointing I probably will never buy another one.

I don't like the newer design with the pockets at the hip. I try to wear it but I always take it off quickly. I have several of the original design but like to check out new colors to add to what I have. Bring back the original design, please.

You are obviously receiving our feedback which asks for the original Big Shirt design to return to your product line. The boxy design, poorly designed side pockets and chest pockets do not improve this corduroy shirt. I have worn the originals for decades and love that I am able to wear them all throughout the year. Please Please bring back the old design! I want to replace/add to the 4 I have now!

I've wanted a corduroy shirt for a long time but was so disappointed when I wore this style. The hip pockets are awkward and add to your hips.As if that wasn't bad enough, the opening is too low so things can fall out. They are unexplicably made out of BLUE denim material that doesn't match the shirt! Stay away from this until they redesign it - but I suspect they have a warehouse full.

Considered buying this shirt for a few months and finally decided to go for it; when I got home I discovered that it has darts. I was very disappointed because I never purchase anything with darts - I've had to pass up on many tops at LL Bean because of this feature.

You sent the extra small size. How could you possibly mess that up?

I have been wearing these corduroy shirts for over 25 years. When they were redesigned a few years ago, I thought I would try out the new design. Sorry LL Bean, your "new and improved" version may be new, but it definitely is not improved. The pockets on the side seams are horrible. I would rather have none than those awkward things. Why would you even consider re-doing your classic corduroy shirt when the original design was such a hit? I own at least eight of the older version and am glad I do, since they will last the rest of my life. You brought back the original chamois shirt, now it is time to do the same with the corduroy big shirt.

I ordered this comfort corduroy shirt in warm coral. Why, oh, why would you add cheap blue chambray pocket lining to it? I was quite surprised when I opened the package. This ugly lining goes from the side seam to the hem to the front opening. I did not even try it on as I knew I would be returning it. I have 6 of the original comfort corduroy shirts that I have had for sometime. They are made well and have not lost their color. I wear them still. I wore the black one today. This redesign is an absolute failure. I know women always want pockets but not when they add bulk, are cheaply made and not of a like color. The pocket lining is so thin it would not withstand daily use for very long. I did not read the reviews before ordering or I would have seen the comments on the blue pockets. Bring back the original design just like it was. I liked this warm coral color but the likes end there. This one is being returned.

I had this shirt years and years ago and wore it nearly every day until it actually fell apart. For the longest time, it was not available in black. So I was pleased recently to see black available and hurried up and ordered it. I was shocked to find giant light blue pocket liners inside the shirt that are quite visible unless it is buttoned. I do not understand the reasoning behind this, but I absolutely hate it. I'm keeping the shirt but I'm taking it to a tailor to have those hideous light blue things removed. So unless you like light blue squares in the lining of a black shirt or are willing to spend $$ to have it altered, beware of this shirt.

Crumpled Looking. Wanted a finer corduroy "weave" but thought I would give it a try to see in person. I returned this.

I bought a cranberry one, remembering the rich deep colors of long ago, but it was an awful dayglo. I had to return it. What every happened to navy, forest green, and burgandy?

I will not buy another until the design and quality improve. Inner lining? Pocket ? Shows when the shirt is worn unbuttoned. Material is not of good quality.

I have bought this Comfort Shirt for decades and loved it in both lined and unlined.
Had to return. Will not be buying again. The entire shirt has been redesigned. So sad because it was beloved by so many customers. Really don't like the pockets, which are a different color from the shirt and add unnecessary bulk. The cut of the shirt is less flattering as well. Please bring back the original design!

I've had the pocketed corduroy shirt since last year. I avoid wearing it and reach for my old ones, faded and frayed , but WITHOUT pockets. The original shirt drapes nicely and fits in a flattering manner. This pocket version bunches up and " "poofs" out in middle. I do not like it. Bring back no-pocket version, please.

Too tight! This shirt in not like the one I bought a few years ago and which is a favorite. It is not a relaxed fit as described but super fitted. I ordered a medium (same a I have) and could barely button the front. I like to layer, but not possible with this one. Also, the pockets are blue denim color (shirt ordered is pink) and the color shows through. Greatly disappointed. Returned.

LL Bean used to sell a sleek good-lucking corduroy shirt. I would give anything to buy another because I lost mine. This clunky shirt has awkward top-stiching. It's two top pockets and two side pockets make the shirt bulky and cheap-looking. It's OK for a work shirt, but I wouldn't wear it to a restaurant or meeting. I had to send it back.

I purchased 2 of these corduroy shirts in the past and was very happy with them. This one is not satisfactory at all. the hem is deep and bulky. The pockets are extremely bulky and stitched inside the shirt so they don't lie flat, making them even bulkier. Why did you change this item and ruin a good thing?

I have several of the old design and was disappointed with this "new and improved" one. The fit is fine, but the pocket feature is terrible. The pocket is made of a flimsy blue cotton like fabric which is a completely different color of the shirt, hangs loose on the inside and shows when worn as a jacket. I was embarrassed to wear it and gave it to a re-sale store. This shirt is not up to LL Bean standards.

I returned this shirt because it is awkward-feeling and clunky-looking due to some added large pocket-type thick pieces of fabric on the sides. The shirt is unattractive and adds bulk on the sides, which makes no sense especially if you need to throw on a jacket.
I own five LLB corduroy shirts that I love. Imagine my disappointment when I put on this latest re-designed one and experienced the fit and feel of it. I will sadly never buy another like this one. Please go back to the original style.
