I wanted to keep this so badly but the front pockets are way too big. They're so big and loose that the lining is visible from the front when you wear the shirt unbuttoned. Even when the shirt is buttoned, it's unflattering because the pockets on the inside bunch up. Otherwise would be pretty! Runs slightly small.

I've gotten two of these shirts in previous years. This one is definitely not user friendly. I've tried and tried, but cannot get the buttons through the button holes, which are too small for the buttons to fit through. Also the fabric is a lot more stiff and less comfortable. I would gladly pay more if I could get the same quality of a couple of years ago.

Bought this comfort shirt years ago in every color only now to be disappointed with the new style, the side pockets add extra width to the hip area making me look 10lbs heavier! Not a good look.

I bought this to replace one of four shirts that I have been wearing well over 10 years. I buy a large petite. This new shirt is three inches less wide than the old, The sleeves were too long for a petite, 2.5 inches longer than the old shirts! You really over did adding pockets. The cuffs and hems don't look right...messy? The side slits are too short. I am returning this shirt and hope you will once again offer the original. I will give it one star because you kept the back yolk.

LL Bean just ain't what it used to be. Only a very few items retain the quality they used to be known for. Now, maximizing profit is the goal. And we get tissue-paper clothes and price-gouged. That's what every large company is doing, so is must be ok if its the new normal? I returned it. And paid for that too.

This is a beautiful corduroy shirt BUT there are crazy pocket-like additions in the inside of this shirt that serve NO purpose! They are so baggy that they hang outside of the front button placket. I'm going to have to tack it to the inside of the front to even be able to wear it unbuttoned; otherwise you can see the material.

Hate the new design! Returned it immediately! I have two older ones that I adore! I don't need another jacket which is what this is. Please bring back the old design lighter, no lining, no weird inside pockets, and only one patch pocket on front. I have one of my old ones on right now and was so looking forward to another one. But the new one is dreadful!

I own two of these handed down from my late mother. Thy are at least 25 years old and look new! I was very excited to get another in a great color. Just got it and am returning it immediately. The new design is a jacket with two heavy inside pockets and side pockets. I ordered a shirt, I don't need another jacket! I wear my other two as shirts and love them! Please bring back old style! And two patch pockets on front looks silly.

I assumed this was the same style as my other 4 shirts but it's not. I hate the new side pockets and the heaviness of the shirt! Bring back the old style!

The shirt is stiff and too thick. I bought it to replace one that I had from llbean .I thought was the same. Really disappointed ! The pockets are double in corduroy making it even thicker

I own 15 shirts of the older style and I live in them in the colder months, with that being said, I don't like this new style at all. First my size changed in this shirt from Large regular to X-lg Petite. This new style is a bit thicker and not as soft, feels bulky on. Don't like the two patch pockets on the chest and absolutely hate the pockets on the sides, who wants or needs that extra bulk in that area, not me! I returned and I hope at some point the older style will return?

The size was very Relaxed.Straight cut made it look like a pink potato sack.
Chest pockets were bagging before it was even washed. The is not a cute shirt like the pics look. Returned. Oh length hit almost mid thigh. A long potato sack.

This fabric is sub par for corduroy! Not soft at all! Also button holes will not hardly work! Very disappointed in this quality!

Have bought old style shirts which were perfect. Comfy and soft. Have two of the new stile and they are terrible. The pockets go the full front of the shirt and do not hang flat. Please bring back the old style!! Why do you think because I wear a 2x my arms got longer too?/women who wear a plus size usually need more room in the waist, not in the arm length. Why can men buy clothing to the exact length and waist, but not women? We certainly spend more on clothing than men.

I have some older versions of the relaxed corduroy shirt that I love and still wear, but this one I had to exchange. Reasons: the color, "saddle" looked rich and dark in the catalog but when it arrived it was a lot lighter, giving me an "overexposed" (as in a photograph) look. I also did I not like the amount of fabric on this version's hemline - the hem was too deep and it had pockets. These two features resulted in a bunched up look. I prefer a smooth tapered looking hemline on a traditional corduroy shirt. This hem was too short and, yes my vanity suffered, made me look fatter than I'd like. I exchanged it for a pair of baggy, comfy pajama bottoms; I don't mind a shlumpy look while I'm under the covers, asleep.

I really dislike the new style and the corduroy is inferior. "If it ain't broke don't fix it".

So thin it's see-through. Shoulders are very narrow, narrow down the arm, then flares out at the bottom. Odd silhouette. Super thin material throughout. Thin-flation is what it seems is happening here. Though that's not the case for all of LL bean's products, it's true many are shrink-flared. One side of the shirt near the right pocket fitting was also bunched-up as though it was mis-sewn. I have a corduroy shirt from Ross that's thicker, 1/3rd the price, and tailored nicer in case I want to be able to move my arms around. I would visit Sri Lanka to check on your factory there guys.

I had two of these shirts that I loved to their death and decided to get two new ones. Why oh why do companies change something nicely designed and make it ugly? Now they have pockets all over the lower inside. I can't figure what LLBean could have been thinking. I can't imagine what in the world I could store in all of the pouches unless I was a kangaroo. It's bulky and irritating an ugly. I would have returned both of them, but since I am retired I just bought for warmth and comfort. Well, they're still warm, but not comfortable and really ugly. If you ever go back to the old styling, email me and I will buy two more and give these to the Goodwill.

The color I chose was pink but it was a peptol bismal pink like from the 80's and the wale was way too wide - had to send back.

I agree, bring back the old style corduroy shirt. The new jackets are not the same at all. I wear my corduroy shirt all the time and people ask me all the time how to get one. Sad to say you can't.

I have quite a few of the old-style shirts, but they are getting worn out. I live in the Seattle area; so, I wear them year-round. Please bring back the old style so I can get some new ones! I hate the way this new style fits. The addition of the pockets is not very flattering, and by the reviews I can see I'm not the only person who feels this way.
