Bought the shirt with the plan to use as a jacket. Fabric is flimsey not at all what I expected. With the cost to return it I might as well just use it for around the yard. Not happy with it at all.

I have many of LLBeans corduroy shirts, purchased in different colors over the years. Although I wear Med-Lg, I always buy an X-Lg because I want it loose to be able to wear a sweater or so under it. I was excited that this one had pockets, the one thing I always missed in the shirts. I've only worn this shirt one time since I bought it almost a year ago. Hate it. The pockets are not done well...but worse is that the shirt is too short. It's about 2" shorter than any of the older ones. Hate it.

I want to love this shirt but just can't. The body fit is okay. It is very loose but works as a comfortable layer over a shirt. The sleeves are just too short. With my arm extended the cuff is a good 2.5" above my pisiform bone on the wrist. I do love that it has pockets and the material is soft and comfortable. On another note, I would love to see this shirt with longer sleeves and in a longer tunic length.

I have purchased two of these shirts in the past for myself and at least two as gifts for others. They were a nice thick corduroy fabric, fully lined. The fabric of this shirt is thinner and feels much less lush than the earlier versions of this shirt, and the shirt is unlined, leaving the pockets just dangling, loose inside. For the same price, this product is much more cheaply made. How disappointing.

Not as expected. Arms were tight and total fit was not loose on body. I have one from the past that fits better . Fabric was soft.

This shirt is quite different than the many corduroy shirts I have purchased over the years. The fabric is thicker. I don't like the pockets on the sides. The fit is tighter.. It is not comfortable. I wish you would return to the previous fabric and design.

I have 3 of the old style which I love. This new style is too bulky looking. Please bring back old style

Not happy with the new style. It is shorter and boxy and the sleeves are cut smaller. Not as roomy as I like. Side pockets make it more bulky. I like to wear mine over a sweatshirt in the winter. I noticed that this new style is tighter in the shoulders. Go back to the original style and fit. I have 6 of the original.

The colors are great, and the materials is soft, but it has no shape, looks like a sack. And the side pockets are horrible. they are just loose, only sewed on one side, so they flop around and make the sides look bulky. As others have noted, you can't put anything heave in them, so what are they good for? I tried gluing them down and putting iron on patches to lock them in place because the materials is so thin and only a single thickness, so if I sewed them the stitches would show up on the outside. Of course this means I can't return the shirt, so it's a gamble. I can't remember ever being so disappointed with L.L.Bean quality before.

I have two older, original style corduroy shirts that I still wear and just love . . . they are my favorites, soft and casual, in great colors! They are perfect for our cool Arizona desert winters. I was thrilled to see them offered again and just received mine. What a disappointment! The pockets at side seams are a bit large and a light gray fabric on the inside of my berry shirt. I would refer no pockets, as in the original style. So I'm returning the shirt and hoping that you will offer the old style shirt once again . . . why reinvent the wheel? The original shirt was wildly popular for years . . . how about a do-over with more beautiful colors please?

I loved the old corduroy shirts; I had many colors and wore them until they were threadbare. I was excited to see the new shirts, even if the style was a bit different, and ordered one. I am very disappointed. The fabric seems a bit thinner and less substantial. But it is the styling that is the real issue. The length is awkward; it is a bit shorter than the old shirt and doesn't compliment the boxy shape. The collar is much narrower, too narrow for the bulk of the shirt, and the cuffs are narrower than the old style, too, although the sleeve placket is nicer. It's the pockets that are the real issues, though. The bottom of the pocket lining is sewn directly into the shirt hem. When anything slightly heavy, like a cell phone, is placed in a pocket, the pocket lining pulls down on the hem, creating a crease that looks unattractive and remains after the item is removed. The pocket should not have been sewn into the hem, but left hanging free and secured in place to the hem with thread chains or ribbons, so weight in the pocket wouldn't drag down the shirt fabric. High quality garments are sewn that way. The attached photos show the shirt after wearing with pockets empty, after removing keys and a coin purse from one pocket and a cell phone from the other. The baggy wrinkles remain. This is not a shirt that I will wear regularly. It's not the timeless style and quality I have been used to from LLBean.

I was excited to see this shirt offered again. I thought the pockets would be a good addition. I had the old version years ago and loved it. The shirt is not flattering at all, doesn't fit well, and the pockets are not designed well. I always order an XL, but this shirt was too small and I was hoping it would be longer. It has been returned. Please reconsider the older version of this shirt.

The color and corduroy fabric were lovely. I was so excited when corduroy big shirt came back. I love my old versions of this shirt, wear them all the time. Sadly the side pockets on this version were a deal breaker. The lining is awful. The stiff fabric flaps freely from the inside of the shirt, it's wrinkly and can be noticed bunched up under the shirt. If you wear the shirt open the loose pocket lining is very noticeable, it is not a good look. Please make a decent side pocket or no side pocket at all. So disappointed. Dump this badly designed pockets and I will gladly try again.

The button holes are way too small for the buttons! It's actually painful as well as difficult to force these thick buttons through the tiny holes. LLBean should not allow this in their products. I waited quite a while for this shirt and I'm very disappointed. I wanted a really warm shirt in a solid color to wear over printed turtlenecks. But I am not going through that much struggle to button it.

Before even trying the shirt on, I noticed the bulkiness around the pockets and the way the pocket lining fabric fell. When I tried it on, the bulky pockets fell on my hips. Not a good look. And the corduroy feels thinner than the previous shirts, of which I have had 4 over the years.. Please bring the old design back, especially the lined one.

I have five of these shirts from former catalogs, very full cut in my size Petite Medium. The bodice and the sleeves in these new shirts are skimpy. I should have ordered a Petite Large size, but I depended on my previous orders as a guide. Now, I cannot return the shirts because they've been opened and I inadvertently threw away the paper work. I wish I could exchange them for a Petite Large size, since I will have limited use of the three shirts I ordered.

Disappointed, as I see other reviewers are, too. This shirt is too short, it is not cozy and "big," and the side pockets are a huge mistake. This is a shirt, not a jacket -- I don't need side pockets, esp over my hips. Next year, please bring back the tried and true big shirt, the one everyone loves and looks forward to wearing when the temps drop. I'm grateful I have several from the good years!

I ordered this in the Mauve Pink, which is a rather murky color compared to how it appears on a computer screen. I like the fabric but this newer shape is unflattering because of the shorter length and the placement of the pockets. I will return it, and hope the old style returns next season.

I was thrilled when LL Bean finally brought back the corduroy big shirt. The fabric of the new version is much thinner than the old ones, and the addition of side pockets made this shirt unflattering and unwearable. The extra fabric for the pockets was bulky and detracted from the overall look. I've owned five of these shirts over the years and loved each one. I returned the shirt and won't order another one. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! On the plus side, I loved the new color, saddle.

Shirt is not well made. Inseam pockets are a different color and are floppy because they're not stitched down. The fabric is not quality corduroy. I'm disappointed because LLBean is one of the few cites that I was confident that I could count on consistent quality. I don't want to pay to return it or go through the dazzle. It will be okay to wear when I empty the trash on cool days.

This new shirt (size M) is far smaller in all ways than the old version. I compared it to an old M version & the shoulders were far smaller & the length was about 4 inches shorter--this was BEFORE the new one had even been washed. The added side pockets are badly finished & ruin the line of the shirt. I loved the old LLB corduroy shirts but not this new version. I am sorely disappointed.

I sent it back. It didn't fit well and medium was large and I didn't care for the material.

I loved the old corduroy shirts. This new style is like a boxy jacket, but it isn't a jacket - it is too bulky to wear under a jacket or coat. The only place I can wear this is around the house, or if it isn't too cold out and I don't need more. But it looks too large

I own many different colored Comfort Corduroy Relaxed Long Sleeve Shirts, and I love them all except the one I just bought. This newest Petite Large shirt had sleeves that were not petite sized but were regularly sized sleeves. So instead of giving the corduroy shirts 5 stars, this one only got 1 star and had to be returned. Please tell your manufacturer they made a big sleeve mistake.
