PLEASE NOTE. I gave this 2 stars and LLBean would only list it as 3.5stars! Two strange design decisions ruin this. In an effort to be stylish and shrunken?, the shirt is cut off to hit the widest part of your leg. We all know that's unflattering; why doesn't Bean? I have slim hips and legs. It's terrible so if you're a curvy goddess, you will really not be happy. Patch pockets would be more useful and more flattering. Instead, these giant side pockets make shirt flair out in weird way - again at your widest point. Also, pockets are lined in strange choice of blue chambray. Fine for blue shirts, wrong for everything else. (Obviously, there was a huge bolt of blue chambray hanging around the factory.) It's not a cute accent, just an odd choice. Could have been a Best seller shirt. Here's hoping someone at LLBean reads reviews and changes the next generation. This shirt had so much potential for an all-time favorite.

Why they chose to put in free hanging inside pockets that are totally different color than the garment is beyond me. If its not buttoned When you're walking, the inside pockets show and they look like an afterthought. Very cheap look. Not what I expected from LL Bean

I love the shirt, however, this shirt, unlike the other two I have, is way too big!!! I ordered a large like the others, but even though it says L, it must be XL or even bigger!!!

I have 3 of these from many years ago. They are still in good shape. Since I've lost weight, I thought I'd get new ones in new colors. I returned these as the quality is inferior compared to my older ones. Very disappointed!

I have been waiting for two years to get this shirt in my size, but unfortunately the pockets which expand to the inside of the shirt create a bulge when even a cell phone is inside. I will be returning

Not the same quality of corduroy as in years past. The side pockets were a terrible design addition - most especially because they were made with different color & type of fabric. If using the shirt as a jacket over t-shirt, that blue cotton fabric/pockets will show. Own several of these big comfy corduroy shirts purchased in years past & love them. This year's fabric & design changes were very disappointing. Returned it!

The lower pocket idea was strange to start with but building it out of blue fabric inside a cream colored shirt was ludicrous and it isn't sewn down so it flops around. This type shirt is often worn open as a light jacket by many of my friends and this whole loose blue thing is really unattractive. Plus the cuff isn't sewn onto the sleeve in some areas. Very low quality for LL Bean.

The old design was much better. Cut is smaller and shorter, chambray pocket (same color on all shirt colors) is huge and ruins the look if you wear it open, fabric is not nearly as nice and doesn't drape as well, huge bottom hem also ruins the drape. Carbon/navy is a nice color.

I bought this relaxed shirt to wear opened as a cover-up on days that were too warm for a jacket, but needed a little wrap. When worn open, the ugly poor quality fabric pocket on the inside shows, and the top of the pocket wants to bulge out even if nothing is in the pocket. Without this ridiculous pocket, the shirt/ jacket would have been nice.

The side pockets are made with non matching material so if use as a shacket and do not button it looks horrible

I like the shirts I ordered just okay. I assumed they were made in USA since this is a Maine company. Made in Sri Lanka. Sad. And in my opinion, they run a little small.

First, the fit of the 2X is not consistent with most 2X shirts I've purchased. The upper part is large and the bottom of the shirt across the hips is very tight, could not even button. The new red color is not the cherry color shown in the ad, more like a dusty burgundy which looks awful on me. All in all, a flop.

I have an older model of this shirt and it has a cozy flannel lining. I was so disappointed to find these do not have a lining. Makes them useless in my opinion. PLEASE bring back the lined version!

I was very disappointed that you made the petite sleeves so skinny. It is no longer comfortable.

I have worn these for years, have several of them in assorted colors, and love to wear them. I just ordered the cream one, pockets? Never needed them, but blue pockets? Did they not have any cream fabric? This was a HUGE disappointment

Cut too small. Reliably I'm a size 1x had to return. By the time my order was returned the size I wanted was sold out. Very disappointed AGAIN WITH LLBEAN.

I have two major concerns about this shirt and promptly returned it. The first was hopefully just a fault of this particular garment. The collar was not sewn on properly and there is no way to make it lay the way it should. I've attached a picture. Second, I ordered the shirt in sea salt--a nice color, sort of a cream. I love the color. BUT the inside pockets were made of a fairly dark chambray blue. (See the attached picture) On a dark colored shirt this would probably be acceptable but on an off-white shirt they look like large dirty splotches from the outside. When I first removed the shirt from the package that's what I thought they were--dirty splotches. I can't imagine who would choose to put dark blue pockets inside an off-white shirt. My rating is based on these two shortcomings. If the collar was sewn on correctly and if the pockets were lined in white or cream I would have given the shirt a rating of 4.

I love the turquoise color, fit was OK, but I was so disappointed at the flimsy thin corduroy and the side pockets with inside lining slumped on inside, causing the outside (front) to create a pleat-like pouch. Very poor quality! Returned.

I have always loved these shirts and have owned several of them. However, the addition of pockets was a mistake. First, they are really bulky, making one's hips look much larger than they actually are. Second, the pockets are set right at the seam, which means if you actually want to use them as pockets you pull your hands way back to the seam; your arms, then, are actually behind your body. Please give it a cleaner line and lose the pockets.

That it's not the real llbean corduroy shirt. Why in the world did you change perfection?
