The fabric thinner than most corduroy I have always purchased. Wrinkles easily

I have purchased these corduroy shirts for 30 plus years. Was so sorry when they changed the style from one pocket to 2 pocket and changed to a bulky hem. These don't look good on my larger sized frame. Wish L.L. Bean wouldn't have messed with a good thing.

I received this in the mail today. While I do like the shirt overall, its presentation leaves much to be desired for something of this price. It was stuffed (wadded) into the mailing bag without its own plastic bag. It was not nicely folded, but came out of the mailing bag a wrinkled mess. I am guessing it was somebody's holiday return. This seems completely unacceptable to me and I expected more from LLBean.

I was disappointed in this Shirt, the pockets are located too far back in the sides of it. The pockets also make the Shirt look Big from the
material sewn on the inside.

I thought this would be a good winter shirt to put over a turtleneck. The fabric is too heavy and the sizing too loose. A great jacket for the spring over a tee.

The shirt was nicely made and of good quality. I'm 5'll" and fairly thin. The sleeves were too short and the fit through the body was too large.

In the online catalogue, this looks like a sky blue (as was a previous shirt I had purchased). In fact, this shirt is a periwinkle blue.

The sleeves shrunk after washing and ended up a bit too short. This seems to be a common issue with LL Bean shirts, sleeves that are too short. They should make the standard sizes with sleeves that are at least an inch longer.. Both mens and womens shirts always have sleeves that are too short.

For a petite it still was to big in the body and arm length. other than that it was beautifully made, good quality.

Beautiful color but was too wide, even though I bought a small. Buttonholes were very tight and hard to use, especially on cuffs.

This is a Bean item I've purchased several times over the years. I have 3 older shirts that remind me that the material used to be a better quality and the cut was more flattering. The idea of pokers was appealing but just added to the boxiness of the new cut. All this at a much steeper price.
Would probably have given this purchase 4 stars if I didn't remember how good this shirt used to be.

This shirt is well-made, but is definitely NOT like their past Comfort Corduroy shirts that I truly loved! It is much heavier, longer and more bulky than their previous shirts. The side pockets are set too far back to be functional, and the large inside pockets only add bulk and wrinkles around the hem. This shirt might be useful as a jacket substitute for weather in the 50's, but definitely is too heavy/bulky to worn under a winter coat. Sadly, I will not be ordering any more of these, but will be hoping they bring back the previous style again.

The chintzy blue pockets are no asset. Really take away from the look of the shirt, really sloppy looking, waay to big, too thin to put much in them. My other corduroy shirts from you were MUCH better.

I absolutely love this shirt! For years, I've been devoted to my Bean flannel shirts, but this corduroy is my new staple. Very well-made, I expect to have it for years. It works as a great layer over t-shirts. Around the house, there's no need to turn on heat on a crisp Fall day. Highly recommend!

I had no idea when I bought this that it was designed like a jacket but from shirt material. I guess I ordered the wrong one. It has side pockets which are nice but weird in a shirt. I don't think this design could be flattering. It hasn't made it off the chair in a month. Still thinking about returning it.

I used to buy these corduroy shirts for decades. I would purchase an XL and it still fits me great. I purchased a Plus size 2X allow for my heavy upper arms but the arms were tight. Unfortunately I had to return the shirt. LLBeans consistently is not like it was decades ago.

Disappointing. Not the shirt it used to be. The front pockets give it an ungainly appearance. It's way too big, even for an oversized shirt. The only thing I really like is the color (blue).

The fabric is good and I like the color. But the pockets are twice as big as needed and add inches to the look of the hips. I've purchased several permutations of this shirt over the years and they are getting worse, not better. Or even equivalent to the first ones I bought. Unfortunate.

Fit snug - no room to wear any layers. Disappointed in LLB sizing. Went up a size for extra space but x-large is same size at 1x, I see now. Returned. Would never fit after washing and drying. Nice shirt - go up a size!

It seems to be cheaply made. Not as good quality that LL Bean usually has. Buttons lose, zippers cheap and break easily pockets never deep enough

I've had several corduroy big shirts from LLBean over the years. Although I love the color and fit, the quality just isn't there anymore. I can literally see through the fabric! Where is the quality control?

Bought one a year ago (2022) and love it, so bought 2 more this year... Same size - petite L - to have a roomy fit that will go over a heavier shirt. Alas, this year's version is much longer (hits me below the hip), whereas last year's was shorter (hit me just above the hip). Disappointing, because the older version looked nice and trim, whereas his one looks like a "big shirt" and can't go as many places, or fit as well under a jacket - or look as flattering. If you are going to change a product's style, LLBean, please give the shirt a different name or somehow call that out...

This shirt was very well made but I thought it would wear more like a shacket since it has pockets but it was pretty unstructured and more frumpy looking than I expected.

I Purchased the saddle color shirt and was disappointed that the color leaned towards a golden color rather than a brown/tan. I had to return it, color was not satisfying for me. The quality was great wish color was to my liking.

I have multiple colors of this shirt and love them all. But, this one has side pockets made out of the same corduroy as the body of the shirt which makes the pockets bulky at your hips. Not exactly what most women are looking for. All my other shirts have the pockets made out of a thinner material.
I think this shirt could be improved by eliminating the pockets altogether for a better, less bulky drape.
