I bought a 3x (normally a 1x/2x) since I have broad shoulders and read some reviews saying it was tight in the shoulder area. It was tight in my shoulder area and the arms were snug. I could not picture myself wearing a sweater underneath the jacket. The material also feels a little flimsy and I don't think it would last a NY winterI am returning it

I've owned the same coat without fleece lining for several years now and it's perfect for travel and between fall and early winter. It layers well under a waterproof shell trench too. Adding fleece lining takes away much of the pack ability, and the waterproof version also ruins packability and makes the coat heavy to wear on dry days. I will need a replacement soon but not buying this one. Thanks

Like the Style of this coat but, it's Not Warm at All for Fall or Winter. The sleeves are not lined & the fit is small so I went up a size. (Large Petite). What happened to the LL Bean Coats of the past that were Insulated to Keep You Warm? Disappointed & might have to return it the tag is still on & not wearing it because it's too Cold out to wear it. It's more for early Fall wearing like 50F not anything below 50F. Still Need a Winter Coat that keeps you warm. Wish LL Bean still had the Insulated Barn Coat that kept you warm in Winter -1F. had pretty floral patterns & did not make you look like a bed comforter like the down coats do.

Was very hopeful when I ordered this online. I returned this as it was very thin. It actually looked like they forgot to put in the filling.

100% polyester. Not the quality I've come to expect from LLBean. Might make a good car coat, but definitely not a warm winter coat.

Loved the coat but had to return it. It was too tight and the wrong places.

As others have said, I really wanted to love this coat. It's stylish and warm but not heavy. The hood is a handy feature. However, I had to send it back after only a few times of wearing it due to the faulty zipper. It was difficult to use at first but quickly became entirely unusable. I'm so disappointed. LLBean is usually better than this!

I bought this coat in October to have for winter. I was only able to wear it a few times before the zipper completely stopped working. I took it back to the store only to be told that they no longer sell this coat and was able to get my money back. I now am searching for a new dependable coat for our Ohio winters. I am usually satisfied with my purchases from LL Bean but not this time.

I really wanted to love this jacket. Pros were it's very light weight, perfect petite sleeve and overall length, double zipper. Cons were it fit more like a whole size smaller through the torso, no adjustable cuffs and no adjustable drawstring at waist. I may have tried one size up had it been offered.(petite xxl). To go to a plus size overall length and sleeve length become too long for a petite person.Either offer a Petite XXL or a Plus Petite size!

For 200 bucks I would expect snap closures along with a zipper, I would expect a overcuff..over the very small tight elastic at the end of the sleeves...I would expect the coat to FIT It was too small in the torso, even felt small trying to get it on getting my arms into the sleeves. So very disappointing

The sizing is off. Normally, I take a L, but it was tight across the chest. The XL, fits across the chest, but the sleeves cover my hands. The fleece lining catches on what I am wearing, hiking the coat up in the back. I can't get the hood on when the coat is zipped up. You have to unzip it to get the hood on. I'd like to return it.

I liked the styling and color of this coat. However, when I arrived home, I noticed that the fleece lining was already sagging past the hemline and knew by the feel and look of it that this would probably only get worse with time and wear. I decided to return it.

I loved this coat so much. I am a Petite Medium, but I sized up to Petite Large to wear layers under the coat. The coat is slimming and comfortable. However, the second I wore it outside in my suburban Chicago neighborhood I just about froze. I can't even imagine how cold it would get when the sun goes down. It is the perfect fall coat. I would recommend it from September-early November, but for anything below 40 I would wear something heavier.

So sorry to be disappointed; I've LOVED my primaloft packaway Jacket, and was expecting this to be a fleece-lined (not packaway) longer version of the jacket. However, this coat isn't related to the jacket at alla completely different fit in the shoulders / arms and fairly stiff. I'd also have to agree with other's complaints about the fleece; having tried the coat on once, I was covered in black fuzz. Sad to have returned it, but done.

It's a little bulky and shapeless, could be more elegantly designed I hope bean will continue to research packable black coats for women!

This is the second item I have returned to LL Bean for poor quality. This coat is not lined with the high quality fleece that I'm used to from LL Bean. It's lined with a cheap, thin polyester material. The primaloft is also very thin. The other item I returned was a flannel, fleece lined bathrobe. The flannel material was paper thin, and the "fleece" lining is the same thin, poor quality polyester material that this coach is lined with. This is not the LL Bean that I've been used to. What has happened to LL Bean's quality?

A beautiful coat but I could not zip it up. I do have poor grip strength but i think the zipper is not aligned correctly making it extremely difficult to pull up.

Usually I wear a large petite in LL Bean jackets. I was able to try this on in a store where petite was not availabale. The large regular fit well, even sleeves not too long--an advantage for me. The fit & color are why I am keeping this jacket/coat. For me, however, this is not a winter coat, barely warm enough with sweater in a 30-degree day. Wind goes through it. Lacks inner pocket; zipper would be easier to work if there were more material extending below the bottom of the zipper. Even though this fits me, I would say it runs small rather than true-to-size

Way too narrow in the shoulders. Not a good fit overall. Inner lining was kinda cheesy - not the quality I would expect for the price or from LL Bean generally. Returned.

Purchased a size large, but it was too small. I never wear a larger size. Did not like the quality of the coat.

"Slightly fitted" is a term I will evaluate closely going forward. The idea of this as a light coat is great. However, I have more of a square shape and the upper part did not flatter. Even though it did "fit". That caused the bottom half of the coat to hang oddly. For women with curvy shapes, this might be a good fit, but not unfortuneately for me. It was returned.
