This coat finally came back into stock. I thought it would be perfect and I had Bean Bucks to spend too. It's just not a good fit for me. The bust is snug, the shoulders are good, below the waist a 'little snug' so it does not have that uniform look when zipped up. Looks loose here and snug there! I find that over the years a size small with L L Bean has gotten smaller. My weight has not changed. I wonder what other's think? Carbon Navy is a lovely color and the warm lining is the perfect weight.

The coat is warm and I love the double zipper. I ordered the Fleece Lined Primaloft Coat because the coat I was discarding had the same type of zipper. I have had it for over 29-years. With the Fleece Lined Primaloft Coat, I have to hold the zipper just right to get it to zip correctly or it will pull up one side unevenly and is hard un-zip to restart. I am very patient, so I have to take my time and sometimes waste time to get it right. I did not want to return it, because I love the concept and have many times had the need to unzip from the bottom to get money or my cell phone from my pants pocket. All in all, it is warm while shoveling snow. I just wish I had gloves made of the same fleece line.

Love color (blue). Ordered a size larger knowing I would wear extra layer underneath as needed for colder weather. Great for most days this winter in NE. BUT - as noted in other reviews, there is a disconnect between lining and outer shell that results in an unbecoming hang at the hemline. Was going to return for another of same coat until I saw other reports of this. Like the coat enough to keep it and try to minimize the problem. Quality is very disappointing for LL Bean product.

I loved the color and the warm lining for winter walks. I liked that it would cover to mid thigh but the sticking on the inner fleece didn't really mesh up with the outer shel so there was this weird bunching happening round the back. Not flattering and I would have been constantly trying to fix it while I wore it. Sooooo sadly back it went.

I ordered an XL and it fits with little wiggle room for layers under it. I wish it was thicker for northern Wisconsin winter. Sleeve length is great. Pockets are deep. Overall happy with it but definitely a lightweight jacket.

Didn't wow me in person after shopping online. The soft blue turned out to be drab, which is the last thing I need for winter. It fit frumpy around my shoulders and almost too tight around the hips (but I have curves). Nice long coverage, though. I didn't like that the only option to secure it in front was to reach down low to zip it up - would be nice to have buttons and a zipper for more ease and flexibility. It did feel cozy inside and I contemplated keeping it for the feel despite its unremarkable appearance. I'm exchanging for a different style all together. The return process is impressive- feels like a relic from the past to receive excellent customer service by phone!

The coat looks great, fits well and is true to size. However, about two weeks after I got it, a tear appeared in a seam near the left lower pocket. This is my first LL Bean purchase and I'm pretty disappointed.

This coat is not as heavy duty as I thought, for the price. You can't wear a lot of layers under as it's cut slim.

I ordered the Spruce green, a lovely color. As I put the coat on the fleece began to cling and bunch as it had no anchor point. I did not want to be pulling at my coat at every turn so am returning it. My suggestion for improvement would be to retain fleece in upper bodice and at waist use a quilted nylon so coat does not cling.

I ordered my usual size and it was at least a size too small. I'm returning. Otherwise it's a nice, lightweight coat.

I usually never have complaints about LL Bean products but was so disappointed in this jacket. I have a similar one from a few years ago which was fantastic, and bought this one this year to have a new winter coat. I live in Boston so I need a good winter coat, unfortunately this one is not doing the trick. It's rated for -20 but I would call it a light winter coat at best. I love the lighter weight which is why I bought this type of jacket again but I cannot wear it on the colder days. I was also disappointed in the fleece on the inner layer. I bought the jacket about 2 months ago and it already looks so worn. Super unhappy with this product, especially for the price.

This coat is very very fitted. I haven't had a chance to see if the thin material stans up to the cold, so I am waiting before I return it. I wanted a jacket that was not bulky. This coat had good reviews.I always buy a size up, which would be a XXL, in outter wear, but I have recently lost weight. Since I am a large I purchased an XL. It is still very snug. I could never get away with a sweater under it.

The coat is comfortable and warm. But the double zipper does not always work. It is very aggravating, when I have recess duty, and I have to move quickly. I am thinking about returning the coat.

I wanted to love this coat so badly. The color is perfect (navy), however the fit is tight and binding, not allowing anything of substance under it. It pulls across my shoulders and is super uncomfortable. I've got a thin frame. A Medium should have been plenty big. I can't wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath. I'm sooooo disappointed...and it's too late to return it. If you still want to buy it, order one size up.

Not warm enough for me. I was walking in 35 degree weather and I was chilled in this coat. It is challenging to find a good coat for cold weather and damp air. This one didn't work for me.

This is a great everyday coat for chilly days. The length makes a big difference in keeping you warm, and I like that it's not bulky. I gave it a 3 star review because I wish it were a little warmer for the price point and the temperature rating LLBean gives it. The zipper is also not as high quality as I would have expected and has a hard time getting started a lot. Overall, I like the coat though.

I loved it but I have to return because inner liner rubs to cloths, gets wrinkle up and looks weird.

It runs small. Tight fit with no room for a sweater or vest under it plus the zipper was very difficult to work. Both myself and my husband have encountered the same zipper problem with Bean coats. I do not have this problem with other brands.

I like the jacket, the fit, and the color. I am very disappointed in the lining! I wore the jacket to work for 2 days. It was really great in the 20 degree mornings. I have to wear a safety vest at work. You can imagine my reaction when I walked into my office and saw my chair covered in green fleece pills! When I got home, I took a picture of the inside of my vest and it was just as bad. I would not recommend this item.

Liked the color, the length of the coat and it had a great sturdy metal zipper. But too tight under the arms- tried it with and without a sweater and it felt like it would tear if you moved your arms much, like driving or walking the dog. Also, add an interior zipped pocket. Sorry but sending this back

I love everything about this cost except I'm very disappointed in the lining. The lining sheds all over the clothes I'm wearing. I wore a white sweater and it was covered with black fuzz from the lining.
