I usually never have complaints about LL Bean products but was so disappointed in this jacket. I have a similar one from a few years ago which was fantastic, and bought this one this year to have a new winter coat. I live in Boston so I need a good winter coat, unfortunately this one is not doing the trick. It's rated for -20 but I would call it a light winter coat at best. I love the lighter weight which is why I bought this type of jacket again but I cannot wear it on the colder days. I was also disappointed in the fleece on the inner layer. I bought the jacket about 2 months ago and it already looks so worn. Super unhappy with this product, especially for the price.

This coat is very very fitted. I haven't had a chance to see if the thin material stans up to the cold, so I am waiting before I return it. I wanted a jacket that was not bulky. This coat had good reviews.I always buy a size up, which would be a XXL, in outter wear, but I have recently lost weight. Since I am a large I purchased an XL. It is still very snug. I could never get away with a sweater under it.

The coat is comfortable and warm. But the double zipper does not always work. It is very aggravating, when I have recess duty, and I have to move quickly. I am thinking about returning the coat.

Zipper is difficult for my mom to pull up and unzip.

I wanted to love this coat so badly. The color is perfect (navy), however the fit is tight and binding, not allowing anything of substance under it. It pulls across my shoulders and is super uncomfortable. I've got a thin frame. A Medium should have been plenty big. I can't wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath. I'm sooooo disappointed...and it's too late to return it. If you still want to buy it, order one size up.

Not warm enough for me. I was walking in 35 degree weather and I was chilled in this coat. It is challenging to find a good coat for cold weather and damp air. This one didn't work for me.

This is a great everyday coat for chilly days. The length makes a big difference in keeping you warm, and I like that it's not bulky. I gave it a 3 star review because I wish it were a little warmer for the price point and the temperature rating LLBean gives it. The zipper is also not as high quality as I would have expected and has a hard time getting started a lot. Overall, I like the coat though.

This is a good looking nice coat but it's not that warm.

I wish there was an inside pocket for cell phone or glasses.

The coat is warm and lightweight. The zipper is annoying.

I loved it but I have to return because inner liner rubs to cloths, gets wrinkle up and looks weird.

It runs small. Tight fit with no room for a sweater or vest under it plus the zipper was very difficult to work. Both myself and my husband have encountered the same zipper problem with Bean coats. I do not have this problem with other brands.

I like the jacket, the fit, and the color. I am very disappointed in the lining! I wore the jacket to work for 2 days. It was really great in the 20 degree mornings. I have to wear a safety vest at work. You can imagine my reaction when I walked into my office and saw my chair covered in green fleece pills! When I got home, I took a picture of the inside of my vest and it was just as bad. I would not recommend this item.

Liked the color, the length of the coat and it had a great sturdy metal zipper. But too tight under the arms- tried it with and without a sweater and it felt like it would tear if you moved your arms much, like driving or walking the dog. Also, add an interior zipped pocket. Sorry but sending this back

I love everything about this cost except I'm very disappointed in the lining. The lining sheds all over the clothes I'm wearing. I wore a white sweater and it was covered with black fuzz from the lining.

I think it is a lovely coat, but not for me. It doesn't have snaps plus the zipper and I like the extra flexibility that snaps provide so I returned it.

I liked the coat but really had to struggle to get my arms in it. Wish I'd read the reviews, but don't think there were any when I bought it, I've had to wait a few months to receive it. Sorry I have to return it as it's not going to be any fun trying to get it back in the plastic bag and the outer mailing bag. Not sure yet if I'm going to reorder it in a larger size.

I read the previous reviews b4 I ordered. Went up a size. Usually wear an XL/1X...purchased a 2X Problem is the body is NOT fitted like the arms/shoulders. Going to put on a heavier sweater to see if I am keeping it. If I keep, will work well as a travel car coat...not to throw snow balls in. The fleece is like my favorite LL Bean hooded jacket I purchased maybe 5 years ago...it is a lot warmer than one would think and my go to jacket for fall and warm winter days. Also a zipper garage would have been nice with the pricing....my previous one above does. You guys missed that one! I said yes to recommend...would like a maybe option...only rec if they read the reviews to know the sizing issue.

I really wanted this jacket for all weather walking. It did state it was slightly fitted, but I found it to be two sizes too small. You may want to order larger.

Returned this coat. Didn't like the overall fit and the way it was cut in the back. The clerk during the return was kind though.

I knew as soon as I opened the package and felt the material that it would not work for my trip to Capitol Reef. The material is so thin that any snag would rip it. I can't believe how disappointed I am with the quality. I also think the cut is much narrower and not true to size. For this price point, I was expecting better quality. It also arrived with a lot of frays on the stitches, what a disappointment. I think if you are purely wanting a flattering jacket, go ahead and buy it. However, it is not durable. I expected so much more from LLBean.

When this coat arrived it was clearly someone else's previous return, just stuffed in the bag and not folded at all. Opened it up and immediately saw that the zipper was broken. I took it out to see if I could fix it - turns out the zipper slider was installed upside down. Incredibly bad quality control. I've returned it and considered ordering a replacement, but my trust in LL Bean is kinda lacking at this point. I do have the fleece lined vest and love it, wear it almost every day. But the coat was super disappointing.

This is a nice-looking coat, but it might be warm only when the weather is above 30 degrees F. I've worn it a couple of times while walking for 15 minutes or so in 20-30 F weather and it was not warm, even with a wool sweater underneath. It feels like the insulation is not in the sleeves.

Zipper is plastic and doesn't work which is disappointing.

The material wrinkles very easily and does not fall out even after you hang the coat up for days. If you sit wearing the coat, it looks just horrible when you get up. I have never had this problem with other types of these coats and I have a lot of them.
