I purchased this jacket with high hopes. I wanted to replace an old favorite, from another major retailer that starts with a P, that is getting worn out after years of almost daily winter use. This jacket was very much like my other, in the gorgeous silver color, flattering cut and the promise of lightweight warmth. I also loved that this LL Bean jacket has a hood - something lacking in my other jacket. I wore this coat running errands one morning in 36 degree weather. I didn't feel quite as warm as I would have liked, and I noticed the outer shell of the jacket was attracting my dog's fur - not an issue with the nylon ripstop fabric of my other jacket. But what convinced me this would not become an every day jacket for me was when I reached into my pocket with my ungloved hand and scraped my knuckles on the bulky plastic zipper they used for the pocket. I love the idea of zippered pockets, but a smaller zipper with smoother teeth is an absolute must when it comes to pockets. Sadly, I have decided to return this jacket. If they fix the zipper on the pockets and perhaps look at a nylon outer shell, I would definitely consider purchasing again. As for now, my search continues!

This coat is fitted and did not fit like a Regular M. I am sending it back and ordering a large, but I couldn't get the color I wanted in time, so I had to settle for another color. Very disappointed. :(

Had to return this coat - even though it was a size larger than my previous coat, it was way too tight. Like a lot of the women's styles, it's meant for only those with an hourglass figure. Fortunately at the store I found a coat that fit (same size but a style without the cinched waist)

This coat is well made and very attractive. It would be great for mild winter days and would protect you in a drizzle. I am only giving it 3 stars because I am pear shaped and it runs narrow in the hips. I ordered my usual Llbean XL size but sadly I had to return it. It would be a wonderful coat for someone with narrow hips.

I have been looking for a light black coat for everyday wear. This was not it. Definitely not the quality I was expecting for $200. The fit was awful. Tight and restrictive in the shoulders and not roomy at all. This coat is on the fitted side. I am a plus sized customer and if you have bigger shoulders. This coat is not for you. I did not like the styling...elastic cuffs, not lining in the pockets. Overall, disappointed. Also the lining stuck and clung to my tshirt as I was taking it off and it was not cold at all. I know I would be annoyed by this over time. I did like the softness of the fleece though. A miss in my book.

Arms are very tight! This is the only flaw, but it is a significant one. Unless you have very skinny arms, I would not recommend this coat.

The zipper is difficult to use. I thought of returning the coat. On the hood side the coat is very warm.

Nice coat but was not a fan of fleece inside, not easy to take off as the fleece causes your shirt fabric to want to stick to it

I liked this coat a lot, but the zipper broke after 13 months (only wore it during winter, of course, so more like 6 months of wear). Because it was more than a year since purchase, I was given the option to send it in for repair or return it for a POSSIBLE replacement. But then I'd be out of a winter coat for 4 to 6 weeks... I may take it in for a local repair, and pay for it myself, but it's frustrating that a zipper should die so soon.

This is a lovely warm coat and a lovely color (turquoise)!! However, in another review I saw that the inside lining can shed on clothing. I ignored that to my detriment. I wore the coat once with wool pants and when I got to my event, my grey pants had pieces of lining on them that I had to hand pick off. It didn't come off easily. Thankfully LL Bean graciously accepted my return. It may depend on the fabric you're wearing, but since I often wear wool, I didn't want to have to deal with this issue.

It fits great and it can easily be layered over a sweater. However it is not as warm as I hoped.

Too small for a petite medium, I have to return to exchange for a petite large. My regular size is always petite medium. Plus it is thin for a coat. Can't wear for a weather below 45 degrees.

I wasn't as impressed with my Priamloft Coat as I am with other Coats I've gotten from L L Bean. The coat ran smaller, and just didn't feel it had the quality my other coats have

As another customer mentioned, the sleeves were too tight. I also didn't like that the zipper that could unzip from the bottom had a handle that hung down in the middle.

I thought the coat had a white lining in the hood. It also sticks out on the side seams. It is also lighter than I thought it would be. I do like the fit and comfort when wearing it. Mary Finney

For the past 2 years LL bean has had such underwhelming colors in its fall/winter collection. I ordered the black and it just looked like every other coat I have. Why was the "Spruce Pine" color on clearance and sold out in October? That is a prime winter color. C'mon LL bean!

I did not keep this coat. Not as heavy as I was looking for, and the body fit was pretty slim when zipped.

I wanted to love this coat - it's lightweight and the lining feels great. But I thought it would be warmer than it is, based on reviews, and there's no flap over or under the zipper so the cold wind sweeps right through. It would be a good option in less harsh winters.

I love the color, but don't like the fit. It also lacks pockets. It just has the two - one on each side. It is warm, but not for cold cold weather.

I wanted to keep this coat because it was lightweight but the upper part was tight. This coat runs small and there was no flexibility around the back and shoulders.

I loved the coat when I received it in the mail. The color was right and the fit was good. In fact, I purchased it in 2 sizes, planning on keeping the one that had the best fit. The problem was with the type of zipper. It came in two parts. Couldn' determine how to use it, although I certainly tried.

I really like the color of the coat, its inside fleece lining (there is no fleece lining in the sleeves though), and the fact that it's very light. But I am not sure yet if I won't return it. I am 5'4" tall and weigh 180 lbs. I chose 1X as size for this coat. It is true to its size, the sleeve length is perfect, but the armholes are quite tight. If I wear a t-shirt underneath, it's a nice fit, but I don't see myself wearing only a t-shirt underneath a coat in the winter. I've tried it on with a thicker sweater, and it feels just okay, but not perfect. Otherwise it's really a nice coat.
