The first two winters this coat was ok with a sweater underneath. The third year it was only good for a raincoat in spring weather. Customer service says it isn't possible for the insulation to condense. Bottom line too thin and mine became paper thin with wear.

Item was defective. My wife wore it only a few times and the zipper would not zip anymore. I thought I was buying a quality product.

Wierd fit, fleece lining sheds clumps on your clothes and the coat clings in all the wrong places - lots of static. Would not recommend. Would return but never got round to it.

So disappointed. The lining was not LlBean's wonderful fleece. I don't know what it is.

Loved the color. Loved the weight. But the inner lining seemed not attached to outer shell, so the outer shell hung in a big wrinkle along bottom of the coat. Returned.

This coat looks nice, but would not be warm enough for walking my dog in the winter in New York City

Lovely and I wanted to keep it but something was wrong with mine. Had to return it. However perfect for cold and windy days in Chicago. I order extra large to layer but seriously is not needed. Large would have been enough. Exchanged it for another jacket because it was deformed or something along those lines.

Unfortunately the coat does not keep me warm as I expected. Even wearing a long sleeved shirt and two sweaters I was cold, especially my arms, in 35 degree weather, which is not cold.

Item received undamaged. On initial inspection it looked and felt liked there was not any insulation. I cut open 10 random sewed patches, and there was no insulation. I will eat the $220, but I will not shop at LL Bean. Unfortunately there was not an option for zero stars on the rating.

I've always ordered medium in LL Bean's jackets/coats. This one was more snug than usual. I ended up returning it. Nice jacket though!!

This is more like a jacket than a coat. I expected it to at least cover my knees, but it barely covered my bum. Also, it is uncomfortable across the back and shoulder to elbow. I am thin and find it odd that it just didn't seem to be cut correctly. The fleece lining was tight. The collar is tight if zipped all the way up. The hood is annoying when the coat is zipped up. It looked to be the perfect coat for me but unfortunately it is not.

I ordered 2 sizes past what I normally wear and everything fit except what happened to the sleeves? It goes all the way up to the arm pit and is chopstick thin. It was tight around the upper arms and by the wrists. So very uncomfortable but I order 2 sizes bigger than my size. I normally wear large or extra large and this coat was a 1x. It should be roomy, the way I prefer my coats. I do not recommend this coat to anyone unless you do not like to move your arms.

This coat was beautiful, it had a nice heavy-duty zipper and the fleece lining was very soft. However, it did not seem to be constructed with an actual human body in mind. It was too narrow in the shoulders, and the sleeves were too long and tight. I ordered a very similar coat from a competitor and it was true to size in every way and included that important heavy-duty zipper. Too bad so sad, llbean.

I have purchased jackets from Bean for decades. I've always been more than satisfied. This jacket left me less than satisfied. The first thing I noticed is that the upper arms are tight. It's the inner lining that is too tight. It's as though they sewed a smaller lining into a correctly sized sleeve. I can't even imagine wearing anything other than a thin top under this jacket. The sleeve cuffs are also tight. I wondered how an fully elasticized cuff would work out, as none of my other bean jackets have been all elastic. It doesn't work. Also, the jacket is thin. Like another customer, I doubt that this jacket would keep you warm. Lastly the fleece lining is cheap. I imagined a nice fleece fabric like the one used in my last jacket from Bean. For the price, this jacket is certainly not worth the money.
