very disappointing- cheap-shiney-chintzy-material- the color wasn't even close to what the catalog was showing- very dark with almost a neon effect- and for that price???? sent back immediately- yuck- not what I expected from LLBean merchandize-

I literally just got this coat delivered today.01/22/25. It is shockingly thin for 200 dollars. I have gotten better, cheaper coats at torrid. Only the body is fleece lines. It comes down to righ at the end of my bottom. I am 316lbs and 5'8". It is tight across the chest. You will 100% still be cold in this coat. You will not have room to layer up due to how tight and constricting this coat is. Do not recommend.

I've been an L.L. Bean customer for years and have always appreciated the quality of your products. However, I purchased this jacket in 2011, after limited use, the zipper broke. This is not the first time it's the second jacket I've owned where the zipper has failed prematurely. Unfortunately, I may need to look elsewhere for my next jacket since the quality doesn't hold up to what I've come to expect from you.

I was disappointed in this purchase. The temperature was 50 degrees and I was cold wearing the coat. I have another lol bean coat that is about 15 years old and I love it. I guess thing's aren't made the way they use to.

I ordered an extra large being a coat so I could have room for layers underneath. When I received the coat and tried it on with just a shirt, I could barely close it. Needless to say I returned it.

Looks nice, but the polyester filling is extremely thin for what you'd expect from a $200 dollar coat. Might keep you warm in 60 degree weather, but nothing colder. The write up suggests a layer underneath. It REQUIRES a layer underneath for any warmth. Won't purchase again. Returned it. Did not reorder

I bought this coat in March 2023 and 14 months later the zipper is already broken. I do not use it frequently either nor handle it roughly. The coat itself is very comfortable but I would not buy again since its quality is not up to par sadly.

I'd bought this raincoat in size Large one year ago and it fit the body perfectly though the sleeves were a little snug. I bought the same coat again this year in XL expecting a looser fit but the fit was off and it was seriously wrinkled even after washing. It looked sloppy and for a $200.00 coat I expected better. I bought this coat because of the Primaloft lining in the hood and the body which is a great feature for spring and autumn. I am serioulsy disappointed!!

The coat arrived today and I returned it today. Not only was the zipper defective (2 teeth sticking up and closure at bottom malfunctioned), but it was way too small, though it was sold as same size as my last Bean coat. Very cheap materials. The returns process so far is smooth but this is not the quality we enjoyed over decades. Very disappointing.

Didn't like at all once home. Wasn't impressed at all the fit of the coat wasn't good.

I ordered my usual size, small, and it was too tight through the middle. I'm 5"4", 112 lbs. The zipper also got stuck when I tried to unzip it to try on. I had a heck of a time trying to get it working. I was disappointed because I like the coat but it was unwearable so I returned it.

I purchased this coat a few weeks ago. I wear a size 12 and decided to go with a large (14/16). I made the mistake of washing it in cold water and drying on delicate. It shrunk. I wasn't totally happy with it to begin with and should have returned it. In my opinion it is cheaply made and not worth the price. I usually love LLbean clothing, but in my opinion their product has declined in quality.

Did not like the fleece lining as it would cause too much friction with my clothes and would end up bunching up inside.

Zipper defective. This is the third coat that I've purchased from LL Bean with a bad zipper. LL Bean said they may fix it. I would really not like to be out $200 for a coat I only was able to wear a few times because of a defective zipper.

Coat is not sized correctly. The medium is a small or extra small! Such a disappointment from LL Bean!!!!

Runs very small. Thinner than expected. Would not be very warm.

CONS: VERY tight in upper arm and shoulder area for a winter coat-I even bought a size up to accommodate for layers underneath. Also, considering it was a "warmer" coat, I found it not very substantial in the warmth department. PROS: Length was nice, color and the fleece lining. Unfortunately, I have to return this because of fit-just not comfortable and that is why I had to give 1 star

It was cut too skinny. I usually wear a medium, but ordered a large so it would be "roomy". The large was still too small thru the torso for me. The arms too long. I sent this purchase back and got a prompt refund.

This coat was exactly what I needed, but~ ! No matter how I many times I tried to zip it, the zipper simply would not work. I even had my husband try to zip it and he was not able to. I am very disappointed. Not up to the expected LL Bean quality.

I ordered two of the lighter weight primaloft coats last year. Love them! Wish I'd ordered the green, too. This summer I saw a green one and ordered it. Unfortunately, when it arrived, I discovered it was the fleece-lined, heavier weight model. It wasn't the weight that I disliked, though. It was the fit. Smaller, tighter in the hips, and it just didn't work. So I had to pay to return it. I HATE when businesses don't have consistent sizing, because the customer pays for the problem when they're not warned about the differences. Seriously, how difficult can it be to tell us? Do you make money on returns? Bad form. I would have kept it if it had fit. Please re-stock the lighter-weight primaloft coat again. I love the long length.

I was excited to get this coat but was disappointed once I did. I ordered my regular size and it was great everywhere except through the hips-- I couldn't sit comfortably with the coat zipped, and that wasn't going to work with a thigh-length coat. Especially since I had planned to use it while in the bleachers at sporting events. The other disappointment is that there weren't better pockets in a coat of this price point. There were just the two hand/regular pockets. That's it! Nothing even on the inside to hold your phone. If mens coats have them I would think we could put them in women's coats as well. So the coat went back.
