It's a handsome sweater; good value for the money; my son likes it a lot, and he's fairly hard to please in the clothing department.

This is by far the best sweater I have ever worn. I live in the midwest and we have some pretty cold weather. It is plenty roomy which I was concerned about. Thankyou ll bean

I bought this for my husband who is an avid duck hunter. He loved it. He said it kept him warm in the blind and he especially liked the microsuede inside the collar - less itchy. Thanks for a great product.

I bought one of these sweater before last years hunting season and absolutely love it. I hunt ducks in Oregon where our winter weather is mostly wet and cold. This sweater will really keep you plenty warm. I enjoy it so much I bought a second one for non hunting uses.

I was surpriised when I received this sweater - it was much nicer than I had expected. It is very heavy and looks great with a shirt underneath. I expect to get a lot of wear out of it this coming winter.

The Sweater is very nice. My son likes it however I ordered the Large and he uses a medium so he's planning on exchanging it.

Very comfortable! It's soft and warm, and I have worn this sweater often since I got it. Sometimes the collar stands up and pokes my neck a bit, but usually it sits nicely open. I did notice that it's starting to pill already after about a month, which surprises me...but like I said, it's so warm and soft, and fits so well (I am 6'1" 190 lbs.), that I am loving it.

This sweater is warm and looks good too. It is kind of itchy, so my husband recommends wearing a tee shirt under the sweater to keep you comfortable.

Nice looking sweater. Purchased for my husband. Did shrink in size and length when washed and put in dryer. So avoid or order up one size.

The quality of this sweater is really nice. The wool isn't scratchy or itchy, the interior of the collar feels like nice suede, and the weave and zipper quality seem great. The only issue I have is the fit. I generally wear an XL mens top, but for some reason this one is a couple inches longer than most XL mens tops. I'm only 5'6, so couple the length with the bulkiness of the weave and it made me look huge (not necessarily in a good way). Plus, the collar is a bit high and won't stay folded down since the weave of the sweater is so thick. I really wanted to like it, but I don't think it's for me.

Beautiful sweater. Makes you wish the winter wasn't so mild.

...If you wear a L (as I do), order a medium. Great looking sweater, but it runs a size up.

Substantial, lots of wool. Compared with my thick fleece, as warm and weighs more. I don't mind the weight. Quality knit. Zipper buttery smooth. The wool is a bit scratchy. I wear a t-shirt underneath, so feel it on the arms only, not a big problem. The collar is lined, so no scratchiness on the neck. Downside about the collar is that it's not snug. Out of the bag, the sweater had a strong chemical smell, which affter 10 days of wear, has dissipated a lot. Haven't washed it yet. I am 5' 11", slim, ~140 lbs. Ordered a Medium and it was too baggy, replaced with a Small which fit perfect.

First off, I have two of these sweaters. They are by far the most comfortable sweaters I've ever worn, and very warm as well. My wife has been nagging me for a month to take them off! As soon as I get home, these sweaters go on! But here's the thing: I have the dark green sweater, and it was perfect from day one. I also have the sable color, which came out of the bag STINKING to high heaven of mothballs. I tried to let it air out for a week to no avail, so the kind person at LL Bean sent me another one. Again, right out of the bag is smelled, but not as bad as the first one. I've had it professionally cleaned, but still smells a bit. I'm hoping the smell fades away. Again, most comfortable sweater ever, but the sable color ones stink.

This sweater is absolutely beautiful. The only drawback is that it is a touch too short. My husband is 6'9" and I ordered a XL Tall.Mt he tall is a tad bit too short. Really a shame as it is really a beautiful item.

Great quality sweater and warm. I went with the tall for my long arms. Sleeve length is perfect but the sweater is too long at the waist. I'm going to return for the regular fit.

Good sweater. I have minor worries about piling but so far ok. Good looking.

Warm. Good looking. But it made me scratch like a bear in the woods. You have to wear something thick underneath it. No bare skin contact. However, the neck has a nice fabric lining so no itching there.

Sweater fit nicely and looked good, but it's too heavy for me. It has one especially nice feature: the elbows are not ribbed, so less likely to irritate your skin.

Bought the blue sweater for brother. Fit great. Size true to chart. Rich looking. Everything you could ask for. Only thing is color was darker than I expected. Thought the blue would be closer to picture.
