A classic , functional, timeless product. My second pair after wearing my last ones for 20+ years and found I couldn't get new bottoms put on because mine were shearling lined. I really needed to have these!

My husband had the same shoes that are over 30 years old. It was time for new ones since the old ones had lost there tred. Great shoes.

Definitely size down as other reviewers say. My husband typically wears an 11 in sneakers, but needed a 10 in these. He loves them and they keep his feet warm and dry on cold mornings.

Bought them fir my son in law for Christmas and he loves them .He's allready worn them !

I enjoy the show which has good treads for New England snow conditions. It is of a good size allowing steadiness afoot during slippery conditions. I am most happy with my purchase.

This is probably the tenth pair I have owned. Thankfully, they have not changed or tried to "improve" them.

It's my THIRD pair of men's gum shoes. They do wear out 'thou they take somewhere between 10-15 years to do so. They're great especially if you walk your dog in the park or woods with lots of wet leaves or mud after some rain.

I currently own 6 pairs of Bean Boots, in various heights and coldness ratings, and love them all. I've worn "Beaners" for almost 60 years now and can't imagine not having several pairs - they're lightweight, comfortable, and waterproof. Buy a pair and wear with mid-weight to heavy socks. You will not be disappointed!

These are very comfortable. I've had the high top version for years and love them as well. I did find that in my case I needed a 1/2 size smaller.

I trust this shoe because Bean's been making gum shoes and boots for so long. Be aware that the advisory is well-stated: the shoe fits loosely as designed. For me, it was better to try one on before buying.

I bought these for my husband after he became jealous of how fast I can get out the door in mine on wet mornings.

Both my husband and I have had the Bean shoes for many years. I use mine mostly on rain days or when it is cold and wet outside. They are both comfortable and perfect for keeping your feet warm and dry. My husband uses his everyday for ranch work. He decided he needed some with a little higher coverage, but we are in our late 70's and need something easy to put on. These men's gumshoes are just right. As a matter of fact a friend who was visiting here decided he would order a pair for himself. Thanks LL Bean for making such quality items and for hiring the best people to help us with our orders.

I've used these shoes twice hiking in heavy rain and my feet have remained totally warm and dry. The soles give me positive traction on rough terrain. Also the fit is appropriate as was suggested by Bean to order one size smaller than my normal shoe size. I highly recommend these shoes

I have owned the Bean Rubber Moc for 15 years, the Maine Hunting Shoe for 20 years and still wear both as the occasion dictates. The Rubber Moc is my go to "garage shoe" that I use for casual yard work, walk to nearby mailbox and when I mow on my John Deere. My Maine Hunting Shoes get a lot less wear as they are my snow boots for the infrequent snows we get in the Williamsburg, VA area. I just purchased the Gum Shoe which I am using as my "dress" footwear when wearing khakis and cords. I have the Bean lambswool inserts in all 3 pair. The Gumshoe is exceedingly comfortable, looks great and easy to put on. Always wanted a pair, finally got them!

Perfect fit (follow shoe size rules) got what I paid for.

Wanted something for transitional weather like spring/fall and these will do the trick. Same great quality as my boots and very comfortable. I wear an 11 and size 10 was the perfect fit. These shoes, like my boots, are like a sore peter......you can't beat it!

Followed advice re sizing- Super!!! Dry, comfortable, and my new go to shoes.

Perfect for cool/cold rainy days. Not suitable for real cold and snow as not lined.

The guide clearly stated to order one size down of my normal boot size with medium weight socks. Ignoring the guide I ordered my normal size 10 and found that they were way too big. I exchanged them for a size 9 and they fit really well. Lesson learned.

Really great ankle high boots. Your advice on how to choose a correct size was most helpful. Even with that I had trouble getting a comfortable fit. Until I broke down and tried a two pack of boot socks. What a difference. I will be ordering a few more pairs of socks for on going use. I like these boots and I am confident they will last several years.

I often fish the many lakes and ponds which most are only accessible by golf cart and bank fishing, in our 55+ community that covers three counties here in Florida. Damp, mud and rain are prevalent here. Sneakers soak thru quickly. These are great, no more wet feet! Traction is good on the wet banks early in the morning or after rains. One of my better investments. I did as others suggested and bought one size smaller than I wear and they fit perfect. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 and I got the 7. Changing the inner sole to a more supportive one was even better. Very well made.

While I've had my pair of normal Bean boots for a few years now, I wanted to change it up and try the gumshoes. As a campus ambassador, I love how light and versatile they are, and are a bit lighter and comfier than your normal bean boot. Incredibly preppy and durable for the right price? You can't go wrong with these bad boys.
