So far, nothin to but positive feedback regarding this show. Extremely comfortable and lightweight. For someone who has had planters fasciitis, after each run, my feet are not in any type of discomfort.

The best pair of running shoes I have put on my feet. Two knee surgeries and 35 years as a basketball player - I have some stiff joints - these are awesome.

The Clifton 8s were my first pair of Hoka sneakers, coming from Nike running shoes. I was amazed at the comfortability of the Cliftons, but I was not a fan of the upper mesh material and the way the tongue seam of the shoes starts to rip as you wear them. The Clifton 9s were a HUGE step up for the Clifton line. The ride if more comfortable, the tongue is attached is a more minimalistic manner, the ride is slightly better, and the colorways are improved as well!

They were really telling the truth when the made the shoe lighter and have more cushion. The midsole is DEFINITELY more responsive. This feels like a bit of an iteration back to the lively action of the earlier modelswhich many fell in love with. I am really happy with the 9.... BIG improvement.

My favorite Clifton yet! Extra stack height is just right, especially for the long runs. Colors are nice, light weight, nice job Hoka! Two thumbs way up!!

I have been wearing Cliftons since version 6 and have multiple pairs of each version. I was excited to try to the new Clifton 9s as I felt the Clifton 8s lacked a little bit of durability/longevity compared to the older versions. My biggest issue with Clifton 9s is the plush cushion. I previously tried a pair of Bondis, which is also a neutral shoe with a plush cushion, but they were too soft for me and made my feet hurt. The Clifton 9s feel similar to the softness of the Bondis. Additionally, the upper is too tight and lacks flexibility of the prior mesh uppers, which can be problematic for those with a wide forefoot. This version may work well for others that like the more plush cushion as opposed to the balanced cushion of the older Clifton models. If you are looking for something similar to the prior version of the Cliftons, I would recommend trying them on first before purchasing them. They have a much different feel than the prior versions of the Cliftons, and I wish they would have just released this shoe under a different model name rather than making these changes to the Clifton model.

I have one pair of the clifton 7s which were my most comfortable shoes and one pair of the 8s that don't seem to fit right (too tight). These are perfect! They are a bit wider in the midfoot, a slightly bigger toe box and they seem a bit softer and are definitely lighter. Fit wise I wouldn't change anything. The design is a bit meh, my wife says they look like space shoes with the reflective lightning bolt pattern. I am willing to overlook these things in favor of comfort. I am loving my black ones and will be ordering the grey as well.

In spite of loosening all the laces, the shoe cut off some circulation at the bottom of the lace track causing swelling in my lower feet. Only good for half a day before I started to feel pain. I returned the shoes.

I have the Bondi 8 . First paid of HOKA. Love it . I use it every day for work. Then I purchased the challenger 7 and Clifton 9. Liked the challenger 7 , not as expected but better than Clifton 9. I might exchange the Clifton 9 for a Clifton 10. There are not enough choices in colors for wide shoes. I wish there were enough choices for wide width ,at least like the regular width seems to have more choices. I'm going to give it another try with Clifton 10, if it's about the same as the Clifton 9, I'll go back to Bondi which is by far the best for my feet.

I can't wear these Hokas. They are too narrow in the toe box, just in front of where the laces end.

These were at least a half size smaller and significantly more narrow that the Clifton 8s. Also, so sad the Clifton’s are not what they started out at. They were so comfortable and bouncy and plush, now they feel Like any other running shoe. Disappointed.

I've worn Hoka Stinson ATR 5's and 6's for years and loved them. These Clifton's are totally different feeling. I felt like they were fighting my natural feet every step. I'll just have to go back to Stinson's.

Initially felt fine and fit well. After 1st walk both feet felt "pinched" and hurt like shoes we're too narrow. Mistakenly thought they'd loosen a bit and become more comfortable. Brought them to Europe for walking around and have found them to be unbearable. Just returned from a 4 mile walk and couldn't wait to get back and remove the shoes. Considering tossing them and looking for something I can wear in comfort. These are definitely not that. Total waste of money.

The heal and cushion of this shoe is superb. The toe box though angles fairly sharply on the pinky side of the toe box. This in and of itself wouldn't be bad if the toe box were all soft mesh. Unfortunately the toe box has a firm shell near the base (where the triangle-like logo is on the outside of the toebox) where touch is likely to rub and cause blisters.
