I've owned the Clifton 8 shoes and absolutely loved them. I loved them so much that I ordered the Arahi 6 and the Gaviotas. I love all of them for different reason and for different activities. Once my Clifton 8's wore down I went to order another pair and saw there was a new edition - the Clifton 9, that made improvements to the Clifton 8. I ordered them and upon Receiving them was already not happy with the stiffer feel of the exterior material. After wearing them for about a week and realized they are not as supportive in my opinion and feel much cheaper overall to their predecessor. After having them a little while now the sole is already wearing out and a piece of the tread peeled off. I love Hokas but am extremely dissatisfied in the quality, comfort, and integrity of this new arrival of the Clifton 9

Had to return twice due to manufacturing defects. First time trying Hoka, they seem nice and comfortable but have a quality issue. I had to reorder as both pairs on previous order were defective. Hoping it will be good this time or I will stick with N**e

Stick went right through the sole of the shoe running on a gravel road 4 days after my husband got his, it's been awful trying to deal with the website to exchange them. And the regular fit is too tight, as he went by the suggestion on the website, going by his previous normal running shoe. And when you call you can't get a live person. Not happy.

Bought the shoes for my husband who is a large man and has wide feet - The shoes hurt his feet and he has tried both pairs that I bought and worn them each for 1 week and nothing has changed = he hates them.

I'll never understand why companies make shoes that don't fit feet. My toes don't end in a triangle rocket ship. Enough is enough. Shoe companies need to made shoes made for foot shape and comfortm

the padding in the left foot heel strike is much softer than the right, so it feels like i'm walking with one shoe one and one off. not that extreme but you get the idea.

These shoes used to last very long with quality being top notch. Now not so much for the price. Size is also not the same if used to be.

Some other manufacturers tell you to just go up an entire size if you have wide feet, which means you have to walk around on shoes that are too long for your feet, with floppy ends that catch on things as you walk. It is not easy finding wide shoes so I was excited to find that Hoka sells shoes in wide sizes. I was hesitant to make the purchase after reading some reviews that the Clifton 9 Wide runs narrow, but decided to make the purchase anyway. After receiving them, I tried them on and found them to feel VERY tight on my feet, even more so than a normal-width shoe might.

I have heard so much praise of Hoka shoes. When I started having heal pain I thought I would try them. I couldn't be more disappointed. Aside from being ugly, the construction is so unconventional that I found it hard to walk and feel steady in them. I wore them for two days and never got used to it. Not at all a comfortable experience. Don't buy these shoes unless you can try them on first.

The rubber on the bottom of the shoe is already coming off. I have only been wearing the shoes for 40 days. My job requires me to be on my feet walking a lot, but my hokas in the past have last much long. Very expensive shoe to fall apart that fast

The Clifton 9 is very high on the front inside of the ankles and is painful. Very disappointed because the Clifton 7 and 8 were terrific.

I heard amazing reviews about these shoes! I never spend money on myself and I thought that since my birthday was around the corner, I would splurge a little on my feet. I am a teacher and being on my feet all day is not uncommon. So, the day after I received them in the mail, I wore them to work. Within 3 hours of wearing them my feet hurt. I thought that maybe I had to break them in. I then decided to take them to Legoland since I would be walking a lot. Big mistake--my feet hurt again and this time, I got blisters on my feet. I am really disappointed.

The shoes seemed good, but didn't fit right -- So I sent the 3 pairs back through your system. I tracked them and it was the WORST experience I've ever witnessed. It took 3 days to leave the US Post Office, and went from Dallas to Fort Worth -- and sat there; then it came back to the Dallas area (Irving) =- and now I have no idea where it is. This took over a week to get back to where it started. I could have ridden my bike in 1/2 a day and done a better job. I hate to think of all the gas, pollution, etc. using this carrier has caused! I'D RATHER JUST PAY FOR UPS!!!

THESE SHOES RUN SMALL. THEY HURT MY FEET SO BAD, I HAVE BRUISED BLOOD IN MY BIG TOE, AND LITERALLY HAD TO WALK ON THE BACK OF THEM AFTER WORKING IN RETAIL ALL DAY. I TRIED TO RETURN THEM BUT THIS SITE KEPT CRASHING AND RELOADING. THESE ARE LITERALLY THE WORST SHOES I'VE EVER HAD. I'VE NEVER HAD A BRUISED TOE IN MY LIFE. I HATED I WASTED MY MONEY AND WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.

THESE ARE THE WORST SHOES I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. I'VE ALWAYS WORN A 9.5. I ORDERED THE CLIFTON 9's AND THE TIP OF MY TOE WAS AT THE VERY EDGE OF THE SHOE. THESE SHOES HURT MY FEET SO BAD THAT AFTER A DAY OF RETAIL WORK, I LITERALLY HAD TO WALK ON THE BACK OF THESE SHOES IN AN EFFORT TO RELIEVE MY FEET, AND NOW BRUISED BLOOD TOE. I ATTEMPTED TO RETURN THESE SHOES AND THIS SITE KEPT CRASHING AND RELOADING. HOKA LOVES TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY OF THIS CHEAP STYROFOAM OVER PRICED CRAPPY SHOE, THEN WHY DON'T YOU TELL PEOPLE HOW SMALL THEY RUN, AND HOW YOU REALLY DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO RETURN THEM AFTER THEY SPEND $150 - $200 DOLLARS PURCHASING THEM. I WILL NEVER, EVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS NO GOOD FOR NOTHING COMPANY AGAIN. THESE ARE LITERALLY THE WORST SHOES I'VE EVER PURCHASED IN MY LIFE. IT'S BEEN 2 WEEKS AND I'M STILL TRYING TO HEAL MY TOE FROM THIS BRUISED BLOOD! I SINCERELY HOPE YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!!
