Bought these shoes for daily use on the treadmill. Although they do offer good cushion they have destroyed my toes and heel with blisters. I normally jog/run 5 miles a day and thought I just had to break them in but it just kept getting worse.

Took the quiz to help find a comfortable pair of shoes to use for long walks around DC but the height of these hurt my feet when I was standing and caused blisters.

The foam wore out on the inside on my first run and i somehow poked 2 large holes in the bottom of the foam. Overall low quality foam even though comfortable. I just with they held up better through one run.

This is an average shoes and seriously over hyped. The website doesn't honor the expedited shipment as promised. And the shoes aren't worth the price probably 60% less priced is appropriate.

I thought I had found my yearly go to shoe with the Clifton 13 wide. Well you guys changed the fit and now I can barely even get my foot in the wide! My foot is a normal width too. Why did you change? I will now have to check out Nike and New Balance. This was my fourth pair of Cliftons and the previous three fit perfect.

After loving the Clifton 8 and running through 4 pair, I "upgraded" to the 9 thinking it has to get better... The shoe feels lighter than the 8 but at the cost of feeling far less forgiving. Multiple times this year I have started to ramp up on road miles in these shoes and every time within the first 2 weeks I end up with grueling shin splints that I don't get when running trails or running similar miles in the 8s. I like the looks but the functionality has been a disappointing step backwards for my use.

Disappointed with purchase. After wearing for about two weeks, I find that the curved bottom hurts my balance when getting out of my car and walking on soft carpet. Not the product that others seem to love,
I'd also recommend:

I've owned several pairs of Hoka's, and a few pairs of Cliftons. I was excited for the Clifton 9, but when I tried them in regular and wide widths I was disappointed. The regular width is too narrow and the wide width is too wide. Very disappointed and had to return them for some Nike invincible Run 3's that fit perfectly.

I wanted on the wait list for my size to be available and when I was finally able to order, the left shoe I received was a different size than the right. This was incredibly disappointing after waiting on the waitlist for so long. Customer service was not able to offer much assistance and, overall, I am left with a sour taste in my mouth after this experience. The shoes look great though.

In a word, awful. Most expensive shoes I ever bought, worst fitting shoes since little kid times. The Left shoe fits well, the Right shoe is way too small. After about 10 minutes, you start swearing so bad and can't stop until you take them off. I would return them but I already scotched guarded them. Sent them to Maui, hopefully someone there might be able to use them.

I got these shoes about 2 weeks ago and have lightly worn them, the bottom of the shoes in multiple places is coming apart. Very disappointing since they are such comfortable shoes.

Comfortable & light but I hate that they put the name in big type on the side and other places.

My 3rd failed pair of Hoka's. I was naive with the 1st. The 2nd was a "wide" and I was told the 3rd was the "widest Hoka yet." All returned because they aren't actually wide. They are just wider than the crazy narrow traditional Hoka's. My feet aren't that wide. I wear typical wide shoes in several other brands, no extra wides or anything like that. My toes felt immediately crammed when I started running, 1 mile in, toes were numb. Measured the shoe 1 inch off of the end of it - the toe box was nearly 1/2 inch more narrow than my current wides from another brand. Hoka's have many great features, but until their designers learn what an actual wide shoe is, I can't buy them.

As others have said, this is not the same Clifton. It is closer to the Bondi now. I would only recommend these shoes if you are walking in them. These are not good running shoes, for me anyway. I've had many pairs of Cliftons over the years and no issues. I've had the Clifton 9's for two weeks now and have had an Achilles issue and now lower back pain. These mega cushion shoes are no good. These are headed back to Hoka and I'm left wondering who to buy shoes from now.....

This is my sixth pair of Hokas. All other models I have worn, including earlier Cliftons, fit me really well. I have worn this pair several days in hopes they would "break in" and become comfortable, but I have finally given up.

I thought I'd give Hoka a try and splurge as I never spend so much on shoes. These shoes started falling apart on me after six month or so and unwearable after nine months, as the toe started to separate from the sole enough that wearing them would be a trip hazard. I usually buy a pair of shoes and wear them for a year, but these didn't last that long. Back to wearing shoes that last twice as long at half the price.

Technically there is nothing wrong, other than they don't fit and I haven't gotten a return label email. They do not feel very stable.
