My husband and I love the Hoka Clifton 9's that we ordered. Once you wear them, no other shoe feels right. They are so cushiony soft for your feet.

As others have said, this is not the same Clifton. It is closer to the Bondi now. I would only recommend these shoes if you are walking in them. These are not good running shoes, for me anyway. I've had many pairs of Cliftons over the years and no issues. I've had the Clifton 9's for two weeks now and have had an Achilles issue and now lower back pain. These mega cushion shoes are no good. These are headed back to Hoka and I'm left wondering who to buy shoes from now.....

My 3rd failed pair of Hoka's. I was naive with the 1st. The 2nd was a "wide" and I was told the 3rd was the "widest Hoka yet." All returned because they aren't actually wide. They are just wider than the crazy narrow traditional Hoka's. My feet aren't that wide. I wear typical wide shoes in several other brands, no extra wides or anything like that. My toes felt immediately crammed when I started running, 1 mile in, toes were numb. Measured the shoe 1 inch off of the end of it - the toe box was nearly 1/2 inch more narrow than my current wides from another brand. Hoka's have many great features, but until their designers learn what an actual wide shoe is, I can't buy them.

Fit well and comfortable. for the price, eyelets are cheap. Should be reinforced, as laces will not last.

The Clifton 9 are fine, functional shoes...however, they do not match my appreciation for my Gaviota's. The G's were my first pair and set the standard. The Clifton's feel like a step down, not narly as solid or plush. I like it to the feeling when you close the door or trunk on a Corolla or Civic you get a tinny sound or feel, but do the same on a better quality car you get a solid sound and feel...just gives you a better feeling.

Went from the 8 to 9. Really happy I can insert my prescription orthotics after the Hoka footbed.

Very comfortable sneakers, I wear it for work and walk around the area, very good flexibility and comfortable choice.

I prefer the Clifton suede to the regular Clifton. The fit is better. What I'm most excited about is that you have just reissued a next generation Stinson. That is my favorite shoe in your lineup.

Tried these as I needed the thickest cushion possible because of bad plantar fasciitis pain caused by a bone spur. Also had orthotics arrive a few days before. Inserted them and after a few days, I decided I only needed the shoes to walk without pain. The cushion and support during your stride are welcomed and feel great. Would def buy these again.

Love. It. Really helps my knees

This is my sixth pair of Hokas. All other models I have worn, including earlier Cliftons, fit me really well. I have worn this pair several days in hopes they would "break in" and become comfortable, but I have finally given up.

This is my everyday shoe. So far i am very happy with it

Overall I enjoy running in them but they feel narrow for my feet and have way too much cushioning. I feel like I have to spend more energy when running in them. Not much of a problem when running at slower speed but not efficient when running at higher speeds. Right now I am using them for recovery runs where I go very slow. As I get into higher speeds I prefer a firmer shoes.

While the regular width is OK, I far prefer the wide. The prior pair of Clifton came in wide

I'm always reluctant to purchase new running shoes. They never seem to live up to all the hype. However, my new Hoka shoes have changed my mind! The shoes are absolutely the best I've worn. They actually feel like I'm walking on a cloud. Supportive, but cushioned and very comfortable. So happy I purchased these. My wife now says she wants to try a pair because I've bragged on them so much. Great shoe and great fast service.
