I love these shoes - unfortunately it is too narrow even though I purchased the wide versions.

The shoes are very comfortable, but I think are cut small. I originally ordered my normal size, but had to return for 1/2 size larger.

Comfortable from run one. They do seem a bit loose around the heel, but no blisters or any other problems. Only have about 50 miles on them, but I think I would buy again.

I love the color and the design. The reason why I gave it a 4 star and decided to return the shoe is because Hoka doesn't offer a wide size for this model plus I'm not that happy with the cushion and it hurts my feet. Maybe Hoka should consider improving this issue on the shoe.

Got an email for new neutral colors but yet again there's only 2 neutral colors for WIDE foot ppl best shoes for wide but color selection sucks love the shoe but I need more neutral color selection!

Very comfy and bouncy but the EE is not as wide as new balance or on. Would buy again.

Use for distance walking

I've had 2 pairs of the Clifton 8's, love everything about them, especially the arch support, it's just right. The Clifton 9's are very comfortable but the footbed is a touch different, a touch less arch support.

I use to love Clifton, especially the Clifton six the toe box was wider, now I had to buy wide and I don't get the same color selection, the style is OK but still could be better. I don't know why you went to a narrower toe box. Overall comfortability is OK, but not what it used to be. Still probably one of the more comfortable shoes out there. I used to rate them at 10, I would say 6 or 7 now. Most of my friends that work at switched over to the ASICS Nimbus gel 25, I will continue to wear the Clifton Pat I am looking for other options

Shoes are nice but a little tight in the toe area

I like the Clifton's a lot. I noticed a small inconvenience, I ordered wide shoes and the insoles sure looked and felt like regular width insoles instead of wides. The insoles of the last few years are curved upwards on both sides. My foot was landing on this outside edge and causing discomfort. I called Hoka and asked for some wide insoles but the very polite woman explained my only option was to return the shoes. I decided to keep the shoes, spend another 40.00 and got some good wide insoles. So not mad, still loyal, but would have liked to avoided buying the insoles. - John

As I took my first steps in these shoes, I knew they were different. From the push into the heel-strike to the roll-through and lift of the ball of my foot...wow. Very impressive feel. I've only worn them for 40-50 hours over the past few weeks. I have a pair of Bondi's as well, so I'm splitting time between the two pairs. I have very flat feet; result: over-pronation. I was also diagnosed with Plantar's Fasciitis back in 2004. Custom inserts from the podiatrist solved that quickly. All that background is relevant to this: I don't sense a significant amount of arch support in either pair of these shoes. I don't intend to use my prescription inserts in these Hokas as they would likely defeat the design and mechanics of the shoes. I'm wearing them for casual, light workout, walking. I'll see how things go over the next few months.

Comfortable--stylish-good quality

Sizing was a priority for me since I have a wide forefoot. My pair of wide Clifton 9s feel great on the forefoot, but the heel cup of the sock liner is narrower than the shoe's heel cup. I can feel the sock liner edges on the sides of my heel and the lateral side of the foot. Aside from this issue, they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've had in a long time. If there are any fine-tuning tips that Hoka can provide, or additional inserts I could try, I'd appreciate it.

The shoe is okay but the heal for some reason feels a little low.

prefer the Bondi and Gaviota, but the Clifton is nice. I require wide shoes and hope the choices improve.
