Comfortable all day wear. 'Wide' width is actually wide; sufficient to allow toes to wiggle. Ankle cuff does not rub or chafe.

Sooo warm! These are amazing boots - comfy, warm and cozy.

I am a 9 1/2 and the 9 is perfect. I get lots of compliments. They are toasty warm and good on ice.

Seriously comfortable, soft leather and great fit. I followed the advise of other reviewers and ordered a half size down and the fit is great! The only thing I didn't like is the laces, they are short and stiff. I switched them to longer flat laces that stay tied all day. Otherwise the boot is perfect and I can't wait to buy another pair in brown!

Well fitting, well made, and cute, too! I've been searching for a good, solid boot for some time. Didn't want a bunch of bells and whistles, just a classic style that would stand the test of time. These are those boots. Sizing : went down half a size. Perfect.

I wore these boots for 10 days all over Ireland and they were perfect! I wanted to pack light and not bring several pairs of shoes and these fit the bill. They were waterproof and warm for rainy hiking days but also lightweight and cute enough to wear to dinner in town. They are a great investment piece! The only feedback I have is that I wish they were offered in a 10.5.

Some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned and I have pretty messed up feet. These were comfortable right out of the box for me. I did, however, replace the insole, as I do with all of my shoes, for more support.

Always wanted similar to mens shoe, but the smallest size in men was too big for me, finally found the ladies version and love it, in boots I always get 8 but red the reviews fit a little big, got my 7.5 instead of my usually 8 and fit perfect is a keeper love it.

I have wide feet and a big bunion in each foot. I also have a serious knee problem. Most shoes give me pain, but these boots have been incredibly comfortable since the moment I put them on. I bought another pair before they run out my size. Now I have brown and black pairs and 200% satisfied!

I purchased these in black and they are gorgeous! These are so much nicer in person. They look very expensive. The laces are the same laces that L.L.Bean uses for their bean boots, which provide a nice contrast against the black leather. I purchased these in a size 9 and they fit like a 9.5, my usual size in boots. I still have room for thick socks. I would recommend sizing down a half size. They are very comfortable and warmer than expected. My ankles and feet feel secure. The quality is great, as is everything I have purchased from L.L.Bean. If you are looking for the perfect pair of casual boots, look no further!

These boots are so comfortable...just right for me! I love the ample toe room, good arch, heel & ankle support. Well made and so appreciated.

Comfortable right out of the box. These feel like the boots I wore in the 70's. Good leather, which I waterproofed right away.

These are the most comfortable boots that I have ever owned. I work on concrete floors and have neuropathy from chemo. I have very picky feet. I need plenty of arch support, cushion and toe room. These boots were comfortable from the first wear. There was absolutely no break in time. My feet are narrow, so my heel often slides in boots. I do not have this issue in these boots. Also, I have received many compliments on them from my colleagues.

I absolutely love my boots : I did order 1/2 size down. They fit perfectly. It a true 8 in everything and I did order a 7 1/2 in this boot. Very happy

These boots are great! They fit perfectly and are comfortable yet durable.

So happy to find wide field boot for women!!Fits well and is breaking in quickly, water not a problem. Comfortable with a mid weight sock.

A nice quality boot. The leather smells great right out of the box. I agree with other reviewers that these run large. I ordered a half size smaller and still have plenty of toe room; my regular size would have been too big.

Wet snow did not penetrate. Wore with warm socks and they were comfortable in 28 degree temps.

I normally wear mens 8-1/2 wide in tennis shoes & boots because of the rounded (as oppossed to womens more pointed) toe box & womens 9 wide. I decided to get the womens 8-1/2 wide in this boot after reading the reviews. The boots fit like a glove (snug) with medium weight wool-blend hiking socks straight out of the box. They have only become more comfortable & form-fitting with wear. They keep my feet warm & dry. I haven't had any issues with chafing or pressure points. They do not feel "clunky" on the trail and they just keep getting more comfy! I highly recommend this boot.

I have very large bunions and the Wide width fits perfect. No break in period. Nice leather and well made.

OH MY STARS! Straight out of the box , 12 hour shift on concrete,,, these were the best I've ever had! In my 13 year career I've put on many boots, spent a lot of money, add inserts, more money,,, I'm on day 7 and my feet, heels and arches feel incredible! No inserts either!!! Absolutely the best boot I've put on in 13 years! Thank You L.L. Bean Highly recommend!

These boots are great! I love the look, ( I've always loved this style of boot) I wore them all around the Adirondacks the first week I had them, around town and on the trails. I will say, in my experience, they were a bit irritating at first at the ankle, but just loosening the laces up top a bit, all is well. Also, I read the reviews before I purchase anything, and I am always nervous about the sizing down recommendation. I wear a solid 10 in most every shoe. But LLBean is the exception. In their classic bean boots, the rubber and leather kind, I wear a 9. And in this boot I nervously ordered the 91/2. AND so glad I did, I can wear a smart wool sock or a ragg sock or really any regular sock and the boots fit great. Success! Also, one reviewer mentioned the sole. The sole is great, super flex and cushy, and looks good too! I waited over a year to order these, had to wait for the right time. I am very happy they are now mine.

These boots were comfortable right out of the box and are perfect for walking in my prairie restoration areas. The ankle padding is covered with leather, so they don't collect stickers and seeds. My only complaint is that the laces are not quite long enough to double knot.
