I bought these boots to wear in northwest winters in rain, sloppy, wet snow and cold temps. So far they have definitely done the trick. They are very warm and haven't leaked when I've worn them in wet weather. Yes, the ankle is stiff but they have softened up some and that doesn't bother me. They are also very well made and the sole grips very well. They have a lot of room in the toe box and accommodate thicker socks. I think they are very comfortable. They do look like men's boots and remind me of the boots my dad wore in the 70's, but they do the trick if you are looking for a well made, warm leather boot.

I knew from the moment I laced them up that these boots were a keeper! The leather is so supple & after just a few outings the boot is molding to my feet beautifully. Great purchase, btw I ordered a half size down & fits comfortably with medium weight wool socks!

I love how they look and the fit is great! They have taken me through snow, mud, sandy beaches and held up perfectly. I think they'll last me a long time!

These boots are what I wanted and they are just right for me. Comfortable the first time I put them on, they fit right out of the box. Low profile tread on the sole, so it doesn't pick up gravel - this was the biggest plus! Cute to look at, well made. A smidge tight on my pinky toe, even though I ordered the wide. The shoe laces could be longer, I can't lace them all the way up. The materials and construction are excellent. These boots seem like they will become better with age.

I have received numerous compliments on these boots, one woman who grew up in Maine, said "Those are the original being boots!" Not sure about that, but they are extremely comfortable. They are a little feminine, not too bulky, and I love wearing them. They are a little stiff to start out but once they wear in, they're awesome.

Boots are wonderfully, well made with high-quality leather and attention to detail. No break-in needed but a pair of insoles from my Brooks Ghost running shoes made them extra comfortable. Highly recommend. Only peeve - I hate the OEM laces. I have weak hands and they are impossible to really tighten. The round lace construction makes them auto-loosen. I replaced the fabric laces the fine leather laces with an easier go for me.

I was fortunate to find these at the LL Bean outlet store. Absolutely love them!! They're super comfortable, run a bit large - so I'd recommend going down 1/2 a size.

These boots are true to size and very comfortable. I have a wide foot and have a hard time finding comfortable shoes/boots. I ordered a 9 wide and can wear these boots for hours and hours and do not even think about the shoes on my feet.

These Stonington Moc Toe Boots are fantastic. They are a bit stiff, but slowing breaking in. I have the black ones, and I love them. Even though they look like tough boots, the sole is extremely comfortable, supportive, and not hard. I love how they look. The only slight drawback is the laces. They are difficult to keep tied, but is solved by double knotting. And I can always put a different pair of laces on. So, yes, if you like this style of boot, buy them!

I'm very picky about my boots. I don't like too stiff or too soft. These boots are perfect! I purchased these and another name brand at the same time and chose these. I "broke" them in for maybe 3 hours! I've only worn them a few times but now they feel like I've had them for years. They seem durable (haven't had them long enough to say). Already they are comfortable. I'm not sure they'd be good on rocks due to the type of sole, but they are perfect for my outdoor needs. I am usually an 8.5 or 9. I ordered a 9 and they have room for a thick sock. Yay!

I love these boots and wear them often to work outside, run errands, and pretty much everything. They're comfortable and look great.

These are the perfect work boots, I got them for working outside. I ordered my normal size and wide so I can use heavy socks in colder months. I'm happy I didn't size down as I find these to be true to size. I got the black and change out the laces to black ( think they look much nicer with black laces) Highly recommend

I'm building a barbed wire fence in rough terrain. I needed a comfortable boot in wide width that accommodated high arches, and these filled the bill. They needed no breaking in, are light in weight and have great traction! My husband noticed how well I could get up and down the banks of creeks, and decided to get a Mens pair of the same boot.

Read all the reviews. Liked their look out of the box and tried them on. True to size with a very comfortable footbed. I have long narrow feet, so these provided just the right amount of toe room for heavier socks if needed. The ankle area seemed a bit stiff. I used my hands to press and work the leather a bit at the ankle area. After that, no issues with needing to work these boots into my daily activities. I love them and hope they last; I'm a bit hard on shoes.

I usually wear a 7 1/2 M and I have a somewhat wide foot. I ordered my usual size 7 1/2 M and they fit perfectly and are very comfortable! They aren't real bulky looking which I like. I would highly recommend!

It is well made and comfortable. I'm delighted with the wide width and the roomy toe box.

I have super narrow feet I sized down and the length was still good and the width perfect. So comfortable!

These boots a great fit for me as I have wide (D) feet. A little on the heavy side, thankful to find boots that fix my feet.

I really like these boots. Love the tread as it is enough for grip without being so deep that all kinds of gunk gets stuck in there. Very comfortable and not clunky or heavy. Best work boot I have owned.

Had these boots for over a year now and I LOVE them. They are the only boots that don't make my super wide feet look super wide. They are nice and feminine (compared to the men's construction boots I normally have to buy!) My duck feet fit beautifully in them and they are SUPER comfy for working outside all day long. Buying a second pair (8D) in brown.
