I am wearing these boots in so they can go to Ireland with me! They're comfortable, but have a seam across the back on the inside that has caused a blister. So thankful I have time to heal and still take them across the pond-have gotten alot of compliments, so others love them as much as I do!!

Thirty years ago, or more, I used to buy woman's Field Trial boots from Bean's, to wear in my landscaping and nursery business. Unfortunately, they stopped selling them, and it was very hard to find work boots to fit a woman's foot. These are just wonderful! A bit padded at the tongue, and very comfortable. This sole, unlike hiking boots, does not track in mud and dirt.

I read the reviews on these boots and decided to half size down, I'm glad I did. The 7 fits perfectly. I'm constantly working in the woods, winter spring summer and fall. These boots are very well made. I added a gel insole only because my feet kill me.

I found it very difficult (it took me WEEKS) to find a decent-looking, leather, waterproof, SOFT TOE, competent, "women's work boot". I'm telling you, this one is it! As a wildlife biologist, I have two different boot needs - fire boots and everyday-work boots (have to be waterproof, tear resistant, comfortable, slip resistant, etc. with all my walking through many different terrains). Never used them as fire boots (bought a different brand for that), but they have many of the same qualities I look for in fire boots. I've had these for almost 1 year, wear them at least 4 days per week. Out of the box, the leather was comfortable, and has held up very well. They're true to size (I'm a 7, bought a 7 and can wear either my wool blend work socks or thin socks with them comfortably), easy care (wash with mild soap and water, treat with conditioner). A million percent recommend.

Granted I bought the wide instead of the regular. Fits with room for thick socks. Strings are a little short but they hold. Breaking them in as I will be using them for hiking soon. So happy therre is no pinching from being to narrow!

True to size and so comfortable. I was looking for this type of boot for a while and LL Bean produced what I was looking for.

Very nice quality soft leather boot . Unfortunately the women's size 8 wide was too big all over. I usually purchase wide shoes to get the wide tow box for bunions. If you aren't a tough fit, these seem like really nice boots.

Wow. Perfect fit, wide enough toe box, arch support alligned properly, quality leather, comfortable ankle padding with no rubbing or digging of material...very impressed. I purchased the black pair and I am seriously considering purchasing the brown now. Excellent boot and price is reasonable for the quality!

Bought these boots in black. Love them. Very comfortable. Are about one half size too big. I always wear boot socks, so not a deal breaker. Well made boots, worth the price. Nice support for ankles and feet. Well cushioned. I have bunions and these boots are not an issue in any way.

Let me start by stating that I rarely rate items. I was having a difficult time finding a boot that was comfortable in all the right places. There would always be somewhere in the other styles that would cut, rub, or they were just flat out uncomfortable. As others have mentioned, and as I also find to be true, these are so comfortable right out of the box! I live in Wisconsin so they've been through some varied weather and handled it all. As I've gotten older I now typically wear a size 10-10.5 and ordered these in a size 10 and they were perfect! I find myself reaching for these more often than any footwear I have purchased in the last few years. I should also note that I purchase a lot of shoes, so my options are many. I've received many compliments on them to boot! :)

L.L.Bean never disappoints. Very comfy right out of the box, very well made. Intended, I think, to be worn with thicker socks, so if you want a snug fit, perhaps order a half size down..? I bought these for 'work' boots; they may be a bit warm in summer, but very happy with purchase. A+

Comfy right out of the box. I wear a normal 7M in every kind of footwear; these are true to size and have room for medium socks. Quality looks good; I've never been disappointed with an LL Bean item, over my lifetime. A+ Look forward to these being my 'work boots' for years to come.

Very comfortable, needed no break in time. I read some negative reviews about the fit but mine fit perfectly, I'm an 81/2. They fit perfectly! I have funky feet and have to be careful what I put on them, don't usually buy online. I love these boots! Will probably buy a brown pair next.

The original pair fit a bit tight only because I have a swollen foot from a surgery. However, when I called Customer Service, I was told I could exchange for a different size, which I did and received the second pair within a few days. The second pair is a good fit, and I am very pleased with the boots as well as customer service.

Great boots. Warm and stylish. Kept my feet warm with temps in the 20s. Ordered half a size down and probably could have gone a full size down.

These boots fit perfectly right out of the box and give my feet and ankles great support while also looking good. While they could be worn as hiking boots I use them for work and yard chores.

Great boots, very comfortable and I like the style. I do feel like they make my feet look kind of big? But not to the point that I won't wear them.

These are the most comfortable boots I've had in a long timebut not surprised because they are LL Bean boots! I took the advice of previous reviews and ordered a half size smaller. They are awesome boots and I would highly recommend them!

Great boots! They are comfortable and waterproof. Only complaint is they run big. I have to wear heavy socks.

Quick to lace up, stylish, comfortable, and warm. I was looking for an everyday winter boot that was not a snow boot, and this fits the bill perfectly.

Not fancy, probably not fashionable but oh so comfortable and tough.
