I have ordered several of this style handbag and they have all had hard bottoms in them and also the pull tabs had the Vera Bradley logo. This handbag didn't. The quality is going down hill in the Vera Bradley bags. Sorry to say I don't plan on ordering any more.

Seems like corners are being cut. The design changes made are not for the better. I had to make a bottom floor panel myself out of stiff cardboard and cloth. I won't be buying this again. And this is my eighth one.

I have used this on the go cross body for 12 yrs. Just loved it, everything had a place I never had to look for it. But now they are not made like they were, I bought one this summer and zipper pocket inside came apart, now you are putting those metal zippers on the out side pocket, I was going to buy a new one for the winter but do not like the zippers you are also leaving out a pocket from the inside. I just love the cross body. Please make them like you did before if you need to charge more money that is ok.

Purses that are over $50-75 or even more should come in a box or fabric bag for protection and presentation. My Vera bag was a gift and wish I had bought it in store so I could have had it boxed and presented better for my MIL.

I have the Hipster, Mailbag, and Mandy, which are all great for organizing and holding my many things. However, I always carry a water bottle and was hoping that the On the Go would solve my problem with having to store the water bottle inside my purse. Sorry to say that it does not since the side slip pockets are too small to hold a standard sized water bottle! Why not make the side slip pockets with an elastic on the top? It has the potential to hold a water bottle but the top opening is just too small! I also tend to clip my keys on the shoulder strap or metal ring holding the straps but this bag has a small square ring, which has no space for clipping my carabiner, and the straps are a little too wide to easily clip it on and off. The inside material is also silky, which is not as sturdy as the quilted interior from previous designs. I am on the fence about keeping this bag. I like the inside zippered pocket and slip pockets, the zippered pocket outside, and the adjustable straps (cross body or shoulder bag style). Just need functional outside pockets, fully quilted interior, and a way to clip your keys!

I just received this bag in the dream tapestry and the Bordeaux blossoms. I have many older styles of the on the go. With each revision of this bag I like it less and less. There is no hard base in the bag now. Not sure how I feel about that. The material on the strap keeps getting cheaper and thinner, and I am worried it will fray. I do like the larger dimensions as far as width goes. I really don't like the new zipper pulls. I can see them coming unstitched. The dream tapestry color is true to its picture online color wise. I am very disappointed with the Bordeaux blossoms. It's super ugly. Very dark maroon, like a dried blood color. It looked more red online, more Christmas-y. Not planning on ordering anymore on the go's.

I noticed lately that all Vera Bradley new wallets and purses have a strong odor from the dye on the material. I noticed it after my friends told me about it. Quite a strong odor when the item is new. Probably will not be purchasing Vera Bradley much any more because of that. I am disappointed.

I am disappointed in the quality of this bag. Only one fabric used. Seems cheaper and even the Vera Bradley logo is crocked.

Love love love my black bag! So ordered Navy for Spring. Looked fine, so stored it until this week. When I opened it found the 2 inside pockets on each end had been stitched in half! Unable to even fit pens in them! Apparently outside sermon bag had been sewn completely through. Bag is really useless to me. So disappointing. Ordered too long ago to send back. Thinking about trying the new iconic bag, but am rather reluctant.

I like the old one because of the size it once I wish you bring the old size back.

This is a great-looking bag, but just did not work for me. Mainly the side slip pockets are poorly designed. They are too small and tight to be if any use. I can't even get my hand in, let alone my cell phone. I'm returning it. Unless you have very small hands, I can't recommend this.

Liked the pattern and design but the lining is not a quilted cotton Vera Bradley print. Instead it is a cheap polyester material. I returned it.

I have this purse in 2 other patterns. I was hoping the Houndstooth would FINALLY see Vera Bradley going back to an alternate cotton pattern on the inside of the bag. It doesn't look like that's the case. Without it, it looks like a bag I can get at Penney's. Other than that, I wish it was a bit larger. Vera Bradley seems to be going smaller with the purses, and forgetting about those of us who don't want to carry two or three bags around at a time. There used to be a purse slightly larger than this, with a side pocket where one could put a water bottle, but a forget the name of it.

I love the Painted Feathers. But I don't like the inside lining being the slick stuff that used to only be found in factory outlet bags. Also, I have 3 other on the go bags... where is the outside zipper that is so convenient?

I have been buying Vera Bradley for about 25 years. I have lots. I love this pattern and the On The Go purse. I was very disappointed in the lining on this purse. The outside fabric doesn't seem the same quality as my other bags.

I have close to 20 Vera Bradley pieces. My favorite is the On the Go crossbody, of which I have several. My most recent purchase does not have the coordinating trim stripes on the sides and the fabric is most definitely of a lesser quality than my older On the Go pieces. The new sewn on label seems to further cheapen the overall look of the bag. It is disappointing. I have always appreciated the quality of VB pieces, until now.

I ordered this in plum, which is a beautiful color. I wanted so much to like it, but I knew I wouldn't use it, so I returned it. The straps are awful. They are so stiff and I tried to adjust them but ended up with a still uncomfortable strap and you could tell where the buckle had previously been. The side pockets are useless. They aren't big enough to hold much and I'm sure whatever I put in there would fall out. I love the little hipster bag but wanted something a little bigger, well this wasn't it.

I have a few of the On the Go Crossbody bags, but the plum is the first one I've used. I love the color and the texture of the bag, but unfortunately, it is way too small for me. I would say that I carry an average amount of stuff in my purse, but it definitely won't all fit in here. The slip pockets on the ends of the purse are too small to hold anything other than a Chapstick or a pack of gum safely. With the inside filled, it is very difficult to get anything in the zippered outside pocket besides a few business cards--definitely a squeeze for my iPhone 5. As others have mentioned, the strap is extremely stiff and hard on the shoulder--not something I would want to carry for long periods of time! If you are a minimalist who can get past the hard strap, this bag may work for you. Otherwise, I'd recommend a larger bag.

I have purchased Vera Bradley bags since 2003. There has been a steady decline in quality especially the past year. I have returned 2 of these bags. One arrived with a 3 inch snag in the fabric by the zipper and 3 small black stains on the white area of the bag. The second one arrived with a defective zipper that will not close in Concerto and the bag looks very misshapen and poorly sewn. The 2 older bags I own in this style in Island Blooms and Puccini are excellent quality. The current ones are disappointing. Even the fabric itself feeling thinner and not as good of quality.

Saw this in a local store. Disappointed in the decline in quality and change of interior fabric. There is no longer any exterior trim with the contrasting fabric which in my opinion made the bags extra special. In addition, the lining is now polyester and silky in texture, just like any department store bag! Also, the little Vera Bradley logo tag looks like cheap vinyl. Very disappointed in these changes. Will not be purchasing this style anymore.

Nice size for just a few things. Wallet, phone, keys, glasses and sunglasses. Can throw over the shoulder for on the go. Good outside pocket for phone and glasses. Inside good for wallet, etc. not too big or too small. Padded pockets nice but small. Interior zippered pocket ok. Outside pockets very small, could be bigger. Can out keys in, but barely fit.

I purchased an on the go cross body handbag with an initial sewed in and it made the sipper pocket completely useless because the initial was sewn completely through the pocket.

I have the same purse purchased years ago and loved it, I really wanted the same style without a colorful pattern. However, the size of the outside pockets are smaller (does not hold my smart phone), the strap is horribly stiff, there is no stiff cardboard bottom (so the purse does not stand alone very well) and the zipper closure has a permanent curve in it. Horrible changes to an otherwise wonderful purse. So many changes that it should NOT be advertised under the same name.

Love the bag, but unfortunately the seams on the straps has already come loose.

This was my favorite handbag. With the 2 side AND front pocket, it was . ideal. Now that you have omitted the front pocket, I am very dissatisfied. Why not just add it again, AND.....just WHY did you omit it in the first place? I know a lot o other customers are dissatisfied with this also.
