I was prompted to write this review when a friend asked me how I liked this style of Vera bag. I told her not to get one until they bring back something close to the original design. Sometimes I wonder if the designers actually ever use these bags. In the old design, the one I was carrying at the time of the question, you could put a pocket camera in one end and a smart phone in the other end. Now the outside pockets are too short to hold anything, even you car keys. The outside zipper pocket was large enough to hold a business envelope, store coupons, product information flyers when you were shopping. The new design doesn't hold any of those, virtually useless.I currently own 7 On-The-Go bags but returned the only one I purchased in the new design. Also on the old, the strap is a full 1 1/2 wide, I didn't measure but on the new one it felt narrower, not as comfortable to carry for an extended period of time.

Not my favorite bag, but if you pack light it may work for you. I think I needed it to be a bit wider.

I own at least 10 On the Go bags in patterns and was looking for a solid black one. Sooo excited when this was presented. After reading the reviews, I won't bother ordering one until it has the solid bottom insert and the inside zipper pocket. Disappointed, Vera......

I was so excited to learn the On the Go has a longer strap and comes in black. But the strap is the same as the black hipster and makes the bag feel heavier. I buy Vera bags because they are lightweight! The tops of the outside pockets also have the weird stiffness, so they stick out and it's hard to get things out of them. All the pockets on the bag are great, but the outside ones should lay flat when not in use. I love the soft webbed strap on the Pushlock Crossbody so much. I just wish it were on the new line of black bags.

Have probably 20 other On The Go purses and love them!! This black microfiber bag seems smaller without bottom piece and strap is so stiff it stands up straight- returned it immediately

I love paisley and was looking forward to this bag; however, there was no paisley to be found.

This bag was returned because it is smaller than the large cross body bag I purchased in the past. Additionally, it did not have the extra magnetic pocket on the outside. Very disappointed with this purchase.

I wanted to love it, but I don't. Sending back.

I really like the bag, but nowhere on it does it says it's a Vera Bradley bag. All my other bags and wallets have a leather tag sewn on and zipper pulls with the name on them. This bag could be from anywhere, but I ordered from the Vera Bradley website.

I've used Vera bags for 30 years. Worst 2 bags I've ever seen. I hate both of them. Will return.

I loved the pattern but to me a crossbody is deeper rather than longer. It's fashioned more as just a shoulder bag

There is no place on this purse. So I believe it is a knock off of Vera Bradley. I'm very disappointed. The inside is not like the other Vera Bradley purses I have in this style.

Returned the product. Quality is VERY inferior to On-the-go bag I purchased years ago. The pulls are flimsy and short. The cotton fabric is very thin. The interior 2 slots are big and floppy. Go back to the original design. I'm sure your customers would not mind paying a bit more to have the original which is so far superior to the current on-the-go that it's an insult to give them the same name.

Very disappointed.the strap won't stay where I put itconstantly slides.

Returned it didn't care for the material and colors. Looked different in the picture. I'm disappointed

A lot bigger than the picture shows

I recently purchased this bag in the plaza tile print. I was disappointed to see that with the new recycled cotton, Vera Bradley had changed the on the go again. I have several iterations of this bag from many many years, including the one before it in happy blooms. That bag is made well, and does not slouch or look sloppy. The new recycled cotton bag I received is not stitched well and the bag leans forward whether full or empty. I realized VB got rid of the piping that goes all the way around the bag to give is structure. I'm assuming they did this to cut costs, and the result looks terrible. As I said the bag leans, and looks low quality because of it. The bag is also smaller. It is 1/2 shorter top to bottom, and feels tighter than the previous version. The constant eroding of VB quality has me looking elsewhere for cotton bags now.

Great pattern but size is bigger than my on-the-go purchased a few yrs back.

It was too big

I'm a long time customer but I think this is going to be the end of me buying Vera Bags. The quality of the bags have went down hill over the years. The quality of the bag isn't worth the price. The inside that use to be a little bit heavier & quilted is now just a thin lining in the bag. The interior pockets use to be plenty, now you are lucky to get two of the pockets. The pockets are now just a lining sewed to make a pocket and flimsy. The pockets were the biggest draw for me, now they seem very lack luster. To me, they have over priced, cheaply made products and I think this is the last.

I was extremely disappointed when I saw the purse. On the internet the background fabric looked black (which is what I wanted), and when I opened the package it was a Maroon color. It would have been helpful if that was described in the picture of the purse so I would have made a different choice. I have had about 4 On the Go purses and absolute loved them.

I haven't used it. Was very disappointed because the colors aren't as bright as appeared and the zipper across the front makes it look ugly and cheap. Vera has ruined another style I loved! Tried to return, but it was impossible because I have no printer to print out a label. Vera should have a return slip and label included in each package like other retailers do. Instead, they make it impossible to return for a refund. Will not order from your site again!

I have loved every Vera Bradley product I've purchased until this one. The zipper is horrible, seems much cheaper than other versions I have. I will be asking for a refund. It's too bad, because otherwise the purse is fine.
