I own several On the Go purses and wanted to purchase another one. Now the purse has changed and I won't buy one. I LOVE my older VB purses and I don't understand why they changed it. The zipper on the back was very large and would hold many longer things. The inside pockets were great for my iphone and keys and a smaller one for small hand sanitizer. I also liked that they were on the outside wall of the purse. Now the newer one has the pockets in the inside wall and with other objects in the purse can cause Siri to come on because it is being pushed up against something. On the outside wall it was not a problem. The straps seem flimsier and I just don't understand why they would change something that everyone loved and got great reviews. I have been looking for something to replace the On the Go bag but am having a hard time because I love my old On the Go bags and they have fit my every need in a purse.

Was stunned when I opened the box and removed the bag-- At first I thought I had ordered the wrong item---this bag is nothing remotely like the other on the go bags I have purchased over the years. Please, please bring that model back !!!!!!!

This used to be my favorite purse from Vera Bradley - I would buy a new pattern every year, sometimes two. Unfortunately, even though customers loved the old version and consistently gave it 5 stars, Vera Bradley made the not so smart decision to change it :( Like many others, I am disappointed that the outside zip pocket was made smaller - the old version's pocket was large enough to fit commercial sized envelopes and larger coupon mailers in it. Another change to the bag was to move the three small inside pockets over to the opposite side of the bag, so that they are now on the same side as the outside zip pocket, which causes the bag to weigh down too much on one side. I don't understand why VB felt the need to fix something that was not broken. I'm so disappointed that I am still using an old On the Go bag from over two years ago. I'd love to buy a new On the Go bag, but refuse to do so until VB brings back the old design.

Like several others, this used to be my favorite bag. Zipper pocket on new version outside is not as wide, do not care for the strap, and why no insert in bottom? Give this one a different name and bring back our On The Go!

Have had many Vera Bradley bags through the years. This is the first time I have been disappointed. The strap on this bag is terrible. Extremely stiff...also no bottom piece. I plan to return it

I have two On The Go bags that I bought two years ago. I absolutely love them. This new model is a major disappointment. The old strap was wider and not so long. When it was adjusted for shoulder strap length it was mostly single. It stays perfectly on my shoulder. This new one is stiff and ugly and won't stay in place. What's the point in changing something for the worse? The opening is also smaller so it's harder to get things in and out.

Love the On the Go bag, and I wanted to order the all-black one, but I won't as long as the strap is so stiff! Please change to a softer strap. Straps on other cotton bags in this style are sooooo nice!!!! I see others agree with me - won't you please change the too-stiff straps. Thanx!

I was very disappointed to find that the design of On The Go has changed since I bought it in a different color previously. In particular, the outside pocket, which was so handy for storing papers, had shrunk by about 1/3 and is pretty near useless. What's more, there is no clue that this has happened from the item writeup on the website, because they don't show you that side of the bag. With this significant a redesign, the product should be renamed.

On The Go has been the only purse I have used in years. I have a bad back so I need one that is light weight. This also has pockets on each end for my cell phone and my keys and the long pocket on the front to hold my handicap tag. Was very disappointed and upset when I found the pocket on the front was much shorter. My tag won't fit. I also really miss the removable hidden cardboard bottom.

I do not like the changes to this bag. On the go has been the only bag for me, just the right size. and now things feel tighter.Pockets on inside are no longer same size, also located on the opposite side now and bag seems more compact. Liked the older one better.

My old On The Go from about 5 years ago was falling apart and I decided to order a new one. My complaints have to do with the straps. They are very thin and too long on this new one. My old on the go has wide straps that are much shorter. Since I'm 5'0 I don't really want a long purse and I loved this purse because it was super adjustable but now it's not adjustable at all for me. It arrived on the shortest setting and I can't make it any shorter. On the plus side the middle pocket on the inside is bigger now and the added zipper on the inside is really nice too. I just wish the straps would have remained the same.

I have many of the bags and have loved them for years (great size; my iphone slips perfectly into the outside, end pocket; can easly adjust the shoulder strap length, etc.) but my FAVORITE feature was the distinctive, coordinating stripe down the middle on the front. It just made the bag stand out from other styles. Now, it just looks frumpy and plain. There were 260 reviews with 5 stars (and only 2 reviews with 1 star) on the old version so why mess with a good thing? Not happy with the newer version...bring back the old!

I own 14 different colors of the on the go bag. I am very disappointed in the new design and especially the Vera Vera. The bottom of the bag is missing the flat bottom and so it makes it seem smaller. The extra zipper is nice and the strap doesn't bother me. Also do not like the new hardware. The bag went back immediately after I saw it. The quality also in not as good.
