This used to be my favorite Vera Bradley bag. However, the zipper has been changed on the exterior pocket and it catches so that it does not slide easily. I returned it; I expect it will fail. So disappointed in this change.

I have bought the On The Go style for years and haves loved until now. The fabric is no longer quilted on the inside and the pockets are too loose. The clasp on the outside is too loose and slides up and down constantly. I won't buy this bag again unfortunately. Very disappointed in the quality.

I started carrying the on the go last fall when vines floral came out. My first on the go was a looser material, nylon lined, and had two plastic zippers. Then the company changed the front zipper to an awful gold metal zipper that hangs and is sharp. The next change I saw was with the moonlight garden pattern. The interior was now more cloth like, and not nylon. Then they changed the bag again with Holland garden. The bag was suddenly stiff and heavier. I just received the on the go in Foxwood, and even more changes have been made. The metal zipper is different. There are ribbon pulls instead of pleather zip pulls, and this new on the go is super stiff and heavy empty. All of these constant changes are exhausting. There is no consistency in quality, or function from bag to bag. Some zippers work, some don't. If a zipper doesn't work, the pocket is useless. Some of the pleather zipper pulls stay on, some come unattached over time making the bag useless. But so many changes. It is the sign of incompetency with this product. That is why I gave it one star, and wouldn't recommend the bag. You never know what you will get.

Disappointed....this is not the same ON THE GO purse that I have purchased in the past.

In general I feel that Vera Bradley quality and color selections are not what they use to be. Very, disappointed and sad. Everything is much bigger in many tote styles and the colors are wild. Not for me!

I suspect I am not alone in buying Vera Bradley bags because they are (were, that is) cruelty-free. So I was very disappointed to find that they have added leather to the current On The Go bags. In particular the two zipper pulls and the VB label. I have cut off the leather and will substitute ribbon pulls for the zippers, but I feel awful knowing I bought something that has caused harm to animals.

Can't use it. Everything is made backwards. I am sending it back.

I've had at least 5 of these bags over the years, and sadly, this will no longer be my go-to favorite. The changes to the pockets, both inside and out, just killed this for me. The end pockets are too large that my glasses (one on each end) fell out and I was just fortunate that it happened in my car.

On the go has been my bag for years (I have owned at least 15) and have seen them go through several changes but this is by far the worst change yet...it barely feels like the same bag! The bag no longer holds it shape and is way too floppy. There is no longer a reinforced, sturdy bottom. The end pockets were enlarged (and are way too big...my phone used to fit snugly but is too loose now) which in turn caused the side zippered pocket to be shortened. There used to be FOUR inside pockets (one zippered and three open) but now there are only TWO open pockets on the one side and they are now too big/loose so everything just falls around inside them. The worse part is the strap...it is way too loose and is constantly sliding all over the place. I have always loved the versatility on the cross-body strap but usually don't have it extended all the way and don't want it sliding on its own! Completely disappointed in all the changes to my favorite bag!!!

I believe I will be returning this to an outlet store.

I am a long time consumer of Vera Bradley. I have lots of your products and they have always been beautiful and well made. My last 2 purchases have not been well done. The very last one was unacceptable. The strap was all wadded up and the placement of the strap hardware was not right. It was very disappointing . I feel like the quality has been lost.

Received another style & more expensive bag as a gift. I did not like the color & size (too big), so I attempted to exchange the bag for one I liked. I soon discovered that Vera Bradley does not have an exchange program, nor does it have customer friendly representatives!! In order to replace the bag, which I received as a gift I had to return the bag at my expense (postage was half the cost of the bag), wait for VB to receive it & issue a gift card (for only the purchase price), then place an order for the crossbody bag. By the time this all transpired the color I wanted was no longer available. Prior to proceeding with the replacement process, I asked a customer service rep if an order could be placed for the color I wanted an held until VB could issued the gift card & then apply the card amount to the purchase. Simple enough, but I was told that was not possible as it was not their policy. So in the end, I received a bag in a color I don't really care for, at double the cost of the original bag, which was a gift. WHAT GIFT!!!! I certainly won't and do not recommend Vera Bradley.

The basic design is very functional. I have done much sewing in my life and your selections of fabrics really needs help. It seems like someone at VB has lost sight of what sold. I want something that will wash I have umpteen nice leather bags-I don't need any from VB You need to make more travel bags that really wash-not spot clean.

You used to make a purse smaller than the mandy. loved that one.

Will not be purchasing any more Vera Bradley items until they return to the cloth lining and other basic things that made VB so special. I can buy much cheaper items better made. VB was high class. Not any more.

I actually returned it to a store instead of mailing it back. The pockets on the end were so small that I couldn't even put something in them.

After seeing the pockets on the outside of this bag, I thought these would be great places for my iPhone on one side and my keys on the other. Unfortunately, the pockets are too small and tight to hold either of these things, and certainly not deep enough. Though I'm happy there is a zipper on the inside, the pockets are also too small and tight to fit anything other than a lipstick or short pencil and pen. Quality not up to older bags, totes I have bought previously. What happened??

If I could give this review zero stars I would. I specifically bought this on the go in classic black because the pictures show the interior to have the old black, white, and yellow interior. The bag I received has the ugly moon drops interior. The bag I received also has no card board base which all my other on the go's have. Also, there was no plastic covering the silver VB plaque on the front of the bag. For years I have been telling people about VB, and buying their products as gifts. All of that ends today as the products are no longer high quality for the high price tag.

this is the first VB purse I encountered that made me realized they started going cheap-Pink Blush- Now I am careful to check out photos of the interior before I purchase. Shame because I am crazy about Vera Bradley On the Go Crossbody purses. after Pink Blush bad experience I did purchase Espresso which still can be bought with the nice cloth complementary design interior. I stopped using the disappointed Blush Pink.

I love On the Go bags, but this one went back to the original style, which I never liked. The top opening is smaller, the straps are stiffer, the two outer pockets won't fit anything, and the bottom has no cardboard so the bag doesn't stand. Terrible terrible. It's going back asap.

I have 4 On The Go Bags and love them. They all have the quilted lining. This one has vinyl lining which cheapens the bag. Will not be buying any more of the Vera Bradley Bags.

I recently purchased this bag in camocat as a gift for my Mother in law. We both have been carrying Vera Bradley products since 2010, and have more than 40 pieces between us. This bag may say Vera Bradley but I see no evidence of it. The strap is the thinnest, cheapest material. There is no padding anymore. Also, the black nylon is so ugly. The bag has a cheap plastic smell inside as well. My mother in law asked me to send the bag back and get a refund. She also asked me not to buy her anymore Vera Bradley products as she will just use her older, better made bags.

It is not as big as it looks and the pockets on the end are too narrow to even fit sunglasses in and very stiff. The pockets inside are also too small. Basically, it is just a bag for things to get lost in. There is no organization to it. Very disappointed and will be sending it back.

I have had this bag before. The construction has completely changed. It is stiff to the point that you can't get anything in the pockets. The small pockets inside and on the ends are very tight and stiff. Virtually unusable, Since this bag is almost $100, I definitely expected more. I will be returning it.

I love this bag. It is very well made and designed with pockets placed in just the right places. I just wish I could have ordered it in the Rhythm & Blues pattern, my favorite. It's very comfortable to carry also because it's light and the bright colors brighten up the dreary winter season.
