I should have returned this robe immediately, but like the fit and look. What happens is that the elbow tears in a matter of weeks. I wear this only for an hour in the morning so it's not like I'm out changing tires or shoveling snow off the roof in it. I believe that I bought one of these about five years ago and had a similar experience. How disappointing for the LLBean and the pricepoint. Don't buy their robes any more.

My bad for not reading description. But ordered this robe thinking it was same as previous robe for my husbandlooked the same It is not lined which is amazing at this price point. Not warm enough. Will be returning it. Disappointed since we had to wait weeks to get it from backordered.

Bought on sale when it came back in stock, Its very thin, but warm. However, I washed it, and there was so much excess material inside the pockets that frayed after washing that I had to turn them inside out and cut the fray out in order to use the pockets. It had stings hanging around the collar and the neck. Was obviously a rush job to finish. My first ever disappointment from LLB. I have 5 year old bath towels, 6 year old rugs, sheets, jackets, jeans. All are absolutely awesome!

Thin material, quality not up to the normal standards of LLBean. Is not suitable for providing warmth in cool/cold weather, would be ok for wearing as a covering only. Disappointed in the cost relative to the value... gave it to a family member as a gift and was somewhat embarrassed when he opened it.

I was truly disappointed with this product. I was surprised when I first opened it at how thin the garment was for the price of the thing, and should have sent it back then and there. Now, four years later, I pulled it on when I got up and the fabric just disintegrated. Four years is not exactly hard wear for something that only gets used for lounging around. If I wanted low quality, there is a Big Box national chain that'll sell me the same low quality at a much lower price.

The fabric is half the weight of the old flannel robes. Very disappointed in thickness and warmth of robe.

My husband is 6 ft. tall. He wears a size M. The belt loops are too high for him. It looks ridiculous. I have purchased robes for him in the past. The better robes have two belt loops on each side. In this way, the belt can be adjusted up or down so that the belt will sit correctly at the owner's waist. As the robe is now, I will have to look elsewhere for my husband's robe. Thank you for your consideration.

Bought a variety of robes from a variety of online stores in a comparison effort to find the best overall quality. None of the Scotch Plaid items were up to the standards I would consider for a real flannel robe. Styling was good but the 'flannel' was terribly thin. Holding the robe up to the window revealed just how thin the fabric really is. Opted for the 'Chamois' flannel robe by LLB, it was the clear winner. This one was returned.

I bought this for my husband's bday present. The robe itself is great. It's soft, warm and well made. But the monogram was poorly done. There was a large white smudge on one of the letters, like the sewing machine had ripped it. As it was too late to return and get a new one, I colored the smudge with a dark marker. It's a temp solution and my husband didn't mind. I was still disappointed that they sent the item without checking it first. So while the sentiment is nice esp for gifts, I'd pass on the monogramming if you don't want to risk it.

My husband purchased one of these several years ago and loved it, but left it somewhere on a trip. So, he ordered the same robe this past week. The robe looks the same, but is much lighter in weight and it is also much shorter. Looks more like a long jacket than a robe. The quality is not nearly what it used to be. I have noticed this in other clothing items that I have purchased from LL Bean in the last few years. The robe is soft, but you are no longer first class. You have become mediocre. I would rather pay more for the first rate merchandise you used to sell.

I have shopped at LL Bean for many years. This the first time I have had a negative experience with something that I've purchased. This robe fits well and feels good, but the quality of the flannel is lacking. When it went through the wash/dry cycle it shed an amazing amount of lint. I had to remove the lint from other garments, and that was no small task. Some of them still have traces of lint remaining. I've purchased flannel items from Duluth Trading, Lands End, Woolrich, LL Bean and others, but never experienced anything like this before. It is the thinnest flannel I've seen. I don't know where you have your flannel manufactured, but I recommend that you find a new source.

I found the robe to be uncomfortable, static electric prone and covers everything in chunks of lint. Can't combine with anything in washer or other items covered in lint. Lint is relentless! Will it ever cease? Customer Service suggested extra washings with extra softeners. How many times and will anything be left after a pound of lint falls out.

I purchased a flannel robe from LL Bean about 8 years ago and it has been a fantastic purchase, soft, warm & still looks almost new. However I started to get tired of the color and decided it was time for a change. Ordered another Men's Scotch Plaid Flannel Robe, but the item I received in no way compares to the robe I originally purchased. After 8 years of 3 season wear the fabric on my original robe is still heavier and warmer than on the new robe. Fit was also a bit smaller. I understand the need for a company to maintain a reasonable price point for their products, but I would gladly pay more for the quality products I have come to expect from LL Bean.

Robe was very flimsy and light weight. Sizing was off as well. Tried to return it and that's when the real problem started. According to UPS, Bean has had it back for six days. Every time I contact Bean they say they don't have it. In the mean time I'm out the money and I don't have the robe and nobody seems to want to help.

Medium size too big and not warm enough for a winter robe.

The fabric of this robe is extremely thin and will do next to nothing to keep me warm. It is about the thickness of winter sheets. L.L. Bean has had the reputation of providing high quality products that justify the price, but this robe is ridiculously overpriced and is cheaply made. I am very disappointed as I was hoping to buy a warm, high-quality robe that would last me years to come.

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. This is the thinnest fabric imaginable - I should have just gone to michaels and bought a minimal fabric then sewed 2 sleeves and it would be better. LL Bean should be ashamed of this trash product

Liked the pattern. Came in the mail and it was an atrocious fit without any thought put into it; just a large piece of fabric with sleeves added.

This is made of a cheap cotton blend. It created an enormous amount of lint that stuck to other clothes. I didn't want to wash or dry it again. Decided to donate. I'm surprised at the lack of quality. LL Bean used to be counted on for that

I ordered this robe for my husband. Wherever this is made, the seamstress did a lousy job. The inside of the pockets are not trimmed, the seams are off a bit.

Fits big for an XL, yet you can't roll up the sleeves because they are too narrow. The fabric is itchy, the cotton isn't very soft at all.

This bathrobe was poorly constructed and not even close to size purchased. The belt didn't fit halfway around and the body fits like a sack. You have lost quality control!

I received this robe as a christmas gift and initially loved it. However, when I put in the dryer for the first time, the stitching at one of the loops tore open, leaving a big hole in the robe. I tried to take it to a store to get an exchange and was told this was considered to be accidental damage and did not qualify for the warranty. Buyer beware - this is a shoddy product and LL bean will refuse to honor its warranty. I would not recommend anyone purchase this robe.

I gave this to a friend for Christmas. He informed me that the fabric is constantly pilling. He has washed it several times.
