I didn't want tye fleece lined bathrobe so I went with this flannel one. It really is more like a summer bathrobe. It is a VERY THIN flannel. I would not suggest this if your looking for warm flannel robe. If your looking for a light robe its fine. I'm keeping it because it goes with the pajamas. I feel like the flannel PJ'S are warmer than the robe. I hope LLBEAN notes the reviews on the flannel used to make this robe and updates it with a better quality flannel.

I bought this robe as a Christmas present for my father. The robe fabric is beautiful and soft. Unfortunately, my father put it on to find the left arm significantly shorter than the right as well as the left hem of the robe shorter than the right. This is my first purchase from L.L. Bean, and for the price, I would have expected better.

the item that arrived is nowhere near the same color or plaid! Instead is is a weird pinky red color.

What has happened to LL BEAN? Used to make quality stuff. I ordered the robes and pjs for my husband and I and couldn't believe how thin they are. These are like summer thickness. Extremely disappointed.

I had to replace my worn robe with what I thought would be the same as scotch plaid flannel from Beans, purchased previously. This new one was not wearable. You can see light through the material. My old worn robe was still thicker than this one. This overpriced robe was immediately returned.

My previous "Men's Scotch Plaid Flannel Robe" is starting to show wear so decided it was time for a replacement. And was totally disappointed when this lightweight robe arrived, same cut and styling but so thin that it's only for summer or possibly vacation - t's actually a third less in weight than the original.
On checking I saw they had different item numbers - the lightweight version is 100132, the previous is 501044 - but as the name and description is the same I had no clue I'd be getting something inferior.
So it's going back.

Not worth the money. I am very disappointed at how thin this is. Felt like the value doesn't warrant the cost by any means.

It was a gift. He was very disappointed. We thought it was a much thicker and heavier flannel.

Incredibly flimsy. I was looking for a warm, cozy cotton fleece robe for my husband for Christmas. Thought this was the one. I didn’t inspect it before wrapping it and giving it to him. When he opened it on Christmas and held it up, you could see light coming through it. It was just so incredibly thin and flimsy. Sadly, its just not the one. Ordered a Pendleton cotton terry robe instead, and it’s so nice and soft and thick.

I bought this robe as a gift for my son. I wanted something nice he could use for years to come. I decided on this one and went with the recommended monogram color. The picture shows a preview from the website on what it would look like. The bottom picture is what it really looks like, you can't even read his name. I expected more from LL Bean!!!

For a robe, the fabric was very thin. In fact, the elbow wore a large hole. Very disappointing for the price and expected quality of LLBean.

Honestly, I was appalled at how thin the Flannel is on this robe. I remember when LL Bean Flannel was thick, luxurious and durable. This product is none of those things. I am very disappointed.

My husband said it looked and felt like it was just a long flannel shirt. It is much too thin for a robe.

Very thin I should have read a lot more of the reviews and I didn't . We decided to keep it since it took 3 wks to get it being a Christmas gift it was to late to return. I sprayed some starch on it and a hot steamy iron and spruced it up a bit so the quality didn't appear so shabby ( cheap)

Very poor quality. I had an L.L. Bean flannel robe for years that I loved until I finally wore it out. I ordered this robe as a replacement. I was very disappointed when it arrived. The flannel was thin and the stitching was substandard. I returned it the same day. I have purchased goods from Bean for 50+years and this is the poorest quality product I have ever received. The company needs to return to the quality that established the reputation they have had in the past. Good quality at a fair price.

Thin fabric for a flannel, ok for Summer maybe. The sleeve and bicep area are not roomy at all and fit more snuggly than I like, someone with larger diameter arms would find this a tight fit. I had an expectation that LL Bean flannel would be more substantial but this item felt cheap and flimsy for the price, I can get one of this quality at a discount retailer for less money. The heritage flannel sheets I bought were much heavier fabric weight, the description for these robes should include fabric weight like the flannel sheets description.

These robes used to be awesome, but I think they use cheaper flannel now. First one lasted forever. The elbow of the second tore after a little over a year, no heavy use, just wearing around the house. Exact same just happened to the third after about the same time period. At this price and with occasional wear, I think they should last longer.

I have purchased 2 Black Watch Tartan flannel robes from L. L. Bean. Both robes ripped at the elbows after normal to moderate use.The fabric is very thin and does not wear well at all. I also purchased a Gray Stewart flannel robe which is made with a heavier grade flannel fabric. This robe has worn extremely well. When I contacted L. L. Bean with a request for an exchange their response was a firm no since the robes (the ones that ripped as well as the one that has worn well) were purchased outside of their new 1 year customer satisfaction warranty. The ripped robes was considered "normal wear and tear." Normal wear and tear for flimsy fabric, perhaps. Not worth the high price tag. It used to be that L. L. Bean stood by their products and their customers. Too bad quality and customer service has gone down hill.
