Very thin fabric. Wanted a chamois robe, but evidently you don't make them any more.

The material is much thinner than expected. Almost paper thin. I expected much better quality for the price, and am disappointed. I bought two as gifts, and honestly I was a little embarrassed to give them away.

My husband opened this on Christmas Day, and we were very disappointed in the quality of the fabric, the light shines right through it that's how very thin it is. This is not the quality of a flannel robe that we would expect for L.L.BEAN.

I was searching for a good quality robe for my father in law who is always cold. I went with a pricy "flannel" robe thinking it would be worth the money to keep him warm in New England winter. I was so disappointed when I opened the package and realized the material is as thin as a tee shirt. These surely will not help keep him warm and I'll be returning it and searching for something else. Beyond that, for the material you get this robe isn't worth more than $40.

Flannel robe material is too thin. I wanted thicker warmer flannel.

Robe sheds material terribly. Even after several washing this robe is shedding material so bad I may not have anything left soon.

This was to replace an old LL Bean robe. This new robe is not anywhere near the weight and quality of the Bean flannel robe it was to replace. In fact the old robe still has more heft and warmth compared to the new one. The new one was soft, but that was about it. I don't think it would last more and a few years if that. My old robe is staying with me and the new robe was returned. I would not recommend this robe.

The fit is fine, but the fabric quality is very poor. I have never had clothing that left so much lint in the washing machine and the dryer. At this rate, it won't last long.

Sizes are all over the place; you need to go back to square one. At 60 years old, I've been ordering 'tall' all of my life. Normal dress shirts do not come with 35" sleeves, that needs to be selected for. Your XL is over the top, and then ordering your normal has 35.5" sleeves and the bodice is too short. So go figure. this is the second time I am sending this back for lack of fit, and comfortably putting on my old one which fits just fine....no head ache.

I bought this robe as a gift for my father. I washed it prior to giving.it looks worn, shrunk and not the quality I expected. It doesn't fit as roomy as he likes although I ordered the size he wears. Disappointed and would not recommend.

Disappointed in the quality of the flannel material considering the price tag. I remember, the fabric was heavier the last time I order this robe. LL Bean, the quickest way to devalue your company is when a customer says "I remember when". Keeping the robe, but will think twice about future orders of products have purchased in the past.

I find this robe to be not up to the usual standards of LLBean. The flannel is very thin and the robe is totally shapeless. Not worth the $79 I paid.

I'm a short woman who has been wearing a men's Tall size Bean flannel robe for years for the length. Prior to the men's robe, I used to have a women's long chamois cloth robe, but Bean stopped offering that product. I just bought a new men's flannel robe to replace my old one, which was getting worn. Imagine my disappointment when the new robe arrived, and I realized its flannel fabric is significantly thinner than the old robe's. The new robe should be billed as a summer weight robe. I'm not pleased Bean chose to make the flannel weight so much lighter. Although I'm keeping the robe, I am not thrilled with it.

I was disappointed in this robe. I thought I was ordering the same robe for the same price I had ordered a few years ago for my husband. I should have paid closer attention. This robe was not lined, as the last robe was, even though I felt the price reflected a lined robe. He decided to keep for warmer weather and I ordered a nicely lined robe with same quality, for the same price as this one, from another company for colder weather.

unfortunately. The fabric is soft, but it is quite light and thin for cotton flannel, like a summer weight fabric. It should be about 3 times thicker than it is. It also started to lint immediatelyi washed it on delicate, in cold water, and air dried it and after one wash it already started light piling :( Also, The length is to the bottom of the knee, so a little short for me but the arms are quite long, almost to my fingertips. so the arm sizing is too long, in my opinion. I am 5' 11" 160lbs. I am dissatisfied. For $80 plus tax I was hoping for something more substantial. Would not purchase again. Please use a much thicker and better quality fabric. The color is nice, though.

If you don't mind a white spot that lingers even after washing on the monogram, then proceed with buying this robe. I was very disappointed and LL Bean sent a second robe which still had the white spot after washing. I called Customer Service and they made a minor adjustment which I have not received yet.

Flannel is way way to thin for a robe. 4.4 oz is shirt material. Get better LL bean and make them the way they used to be.

This robe was perfect for my husband for nearly a year, very comfortable, until a large rip formed at the elbow at a point of wear. I patched it, but I felt the fabric should have held up better. Unfortunately, I did not have the information available to return it.

These used to be longer. Now it is above the knee, although the photos do not show that well.Feel like I am wearing a mini skirt! Not sure why the ladies get the longer length and the guys do not.

This is a very comfortable and warm robe. The issue I have with it is that after 18 months the elbow on my right sleeve wore out completely with holes. This is my second one purchased and I have had the same problem with each. I would love to buy another but am tired of the issue.

I'm short, but these belt loops and pockets are WAY too low, other robes I have owned have a few belt loops attached as options for height. My wife is considering raising the loops up about 5". The belt falls in the middle of my butt!

The fit and the look was perfect and true to size but the material was very thin. Bought one of these a few years back and the material was much thicker.

I bought this robe for my teenage son as a Christmas gift a year ago. He has been very happy with it up til now. The thin fabric has ripped open at the elbow. Yes, this is an area that would take the most stress but this is a Bean robe. I paid good money for what should be a quality product that should last for more than a year. After all, this is a robe and is not worn more than an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. I am also unhappy to discover that Bean's policy has changed. They no longer stand by their products 100% and will need to evaluate the robe to determine whether they will reimburse me or not.
