Very nice but too thin. It is the same fabric that is used for a thin flannel. Very nice if that's what you're looking for... I was hoping for something thicker and warmer.

Very nice bath robe but there is no shirt pocket like most robes have. There are two nice side pockets but I have always liked the top shirt pocket. It did not state no pocket, I thought it would have one. Also belt to tie robe shut is somewhat short. The other belt in my robe was a full two inches longer. Somewhat disappointed.

This men's flannel robe is a nice, well-made product but my husband did not like the light weight of the flannel. We returned it.

Robe is very soft and a good weight of flannel. However, even having purchased the "tall" size, this robe isn't as long as I'd hoped, and I'm barely over 6' tall.

Robe looks nice, constructed well, but imo the fabric is a bit flimsy for the price.

It's beautiful but it's not a winter weight unless you live in Hawaii. You can see through it.

a bit thin and disappointing 4 the price, like most llbean products from the last 10-15 yrs or so during which they have been going steadily downhill. old ll must b spinning in his grave as everything used to b overdesigned and overbuilt in the old days. now, it's just the opposite. i buy VERY LITTLE from llbean these days. mostly just tshirts...which r good, but overpriced.

The flannel weight was much lighter and prone to static. The previous one i bought was a much better quality my husband likes his old one better but its worn out. The new one isn't very warm. The first picture is the old one and the second picture is the new one. I won't order again on line. I need to feel the materials

This replaced my similar LLBean robe. While the fit is good, the material is much lighter and I doubt it will last as long and it is not as warm, which is OK down here in Tennessee.

I thought the flannel would be thicker. But the robe is serviceable, does the job. I was disappointed at the thickness.

A little disappointed in this robe. Expected it to be heavier and warmer. And even though it is 100% cotton, it is a little itchy even after washing.

You do not say that this is a light weight cotton bath robe. It would be nice to know in the details / description. This rob is made well, but the material is more for a summer / spring robe. I live in Boston. it's cold in the winter and I would have never purchased this product if I knew it was so light weight.

I guess there is a reason why tissue thin flannel products are sold these days. I wish LL Bean would sell thicker, sturdier flannel robes and PJs. A higher price is fine for better quality. This robe will not last more than a few months before it is torn to pieces. Just not good enough quality. BTW, I have sandwiched together two Bean flannel robes to make one which is warm enough and more sturdy. Great for Bean sales, bad for consumers.

I buy my husband one of the plaid flannel robes every couple of years. This new one shed massive amounts of fuzz! I washed it several times and the fuzz is still coming off. I bought myself flannel pajamas awhile back and they did the same thing. I returned them. My husband loves these robes. What is different about the flannel quality now?

This robe is very well constructed , great cut and sew . The fabric is just OK , it could be a little bit thicker , it is a little on the thinner side . If Bean thickens the fabric , offers some more stylish plaids than the present limited offering , I would give the product 5 stars . Presently this robe offering is a 3 star garment .

Robe very nice and good looking. Fits well. The flannel is quite thin and the robe is not warm enough for chillier temps.

First, I am a woman. I was looking for a 'chamois' flannel robe that was nice and heavy and warm. The women's robes were all fleece. So, I looked at men's. I LOVE the plaid. I am disappointed in the quality of the flannel. It is quite thin and not as warm as I would hope. Men's medium tshirts normally just fit over my hips. The robe seems a little generous through the sides not a bad thing!). The sleeves are a little long (and I have long arms) so I roll them up. I have not washed this item as of yet so cannot speak to that quality. Keeping.

I purchase a considerable amount of product from LLBean, and have owned four Robes over the past years all have held up very well, great quality, fit and comfort. My last purchase was somewhat disappointing first of all the robes that I prefer art the Portuguese flannel, the selection of colors were all plaid I prefer solid colors, I purchased a black watch and after the first wash their was a bunch of pilling in fact the pilling was excessive I informed LLBean and to their credit they had me return the product and was sent a replacement. Unfortunately the same thing is occurring . I like the product however the quality or finish of this product has a problem that needs to be addressed.

Because of all the great reviews, the cost and the manufacturer- I expected more. While the fabric on the outside seems nice and soft the inside didn't seem to be all that soft. Perhaps with a washing it would be better? But overall I just wasn't impressed with the quality of the fabric. It was also HUGE (as were the matching lounge pants). My husband could've wrapped it around himself twice. However he LOVES his LL Rugby robe. (I bought one for cold winter days and a lighter one for typical days.) LL Bean was also outstanding on a service issue I had as well. This item just didn't do it for me.

This is an attractive plaid robe, but it feels less substantial than previous models. Lightweight may be fine for well heated homes or mild weather, but the middle of winter calls for something warmer.

While the quality of this robe is up to L.L. Bean standards, it is much too light for winter use. Not cozy warm.

I purchased this robe in the fall of 2015. It is a very soft and comfortable flannel. I was completely satisfied until a hole appeared in the elbow last week. Should a robe last more than four years? I would hope so, but mine didn't. I am deciding whether to buy a new one, but see reviews that the flannel is even thinner than previously. I would recommend because outside reviewers like the robe. But, buyer beware.

The robe itself was ok. However, my husband had one of the old robes and it doesn't compare. The old one was longer, heavier, and also lined with blue flannel (he had the black watch) so much better for the long cold winters in northern Canada.

This bathrobe was purchased to replace one I purchased from ll bean about 7-10 years ago. That one ripped at the elbow on one sleeve. I loved the old one. It had nice heavy weight flannel. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the flannel with this one. It is much lighter weight and really kind of flimsy compared to the older one. I doubt it will last as long.
