Had to wait 4 weeks because item was out of stock, no problem. Item shipped earlier than estimated. Robe came nicely packed and feels very soft, like a flannel shirt. I washed the robe in warm water, then low heat in the dryer. The amount of lint from the robe almost filled my lint trap! I pulled the robe out while it was just slightly damp and let it hang dry. Very disappointed that the tie/sash did not dry flat, so I had to iron it to get it to lay flat. The bottom hem of the robe looks very wavy from the stitching and material kind of puckered. Not the quality that I expected.

Good robe. Not as thick as I'd expected. More of a wear around the house on a cold day than a bathrobe. Got a monogrammed one as a gift also for my brother and he really liked it.

Attractive and warm. It is a generous cut. I usually expect large to fit nearly perfectly; however, this robe seems big: the sleeves are a bit long (but can be rolled up) and when the robe wraps around me the pockets end up more in front than on the sides(only a problem if my vanity gets in the way). The material could be a bit thicker as well. Having said all of that I spent all of yesterday in it and would do the same today if I didn't have to get busy.

The robe is warm and comfy. One of the reasons I ordered a tall is that I wanted it longer and it's about 3" shorter than my old flannel warm. My only complaint. Oh, and I'm only 6'if that matters.

Overall, I am happy with this robe, but I do wish it were shorter. After I double checked to be sure it was a "regular" and "small," I turned up the cuffs. Not optimal, but I otherwise like the robe.

I have a LL Bean flannel robe that is like the Black Watch robe but its a deep purple and dark navy blue. Its very comfortable and I like it a lot, but alas, LL Bean has discontinued that color combo. The lesson here is that, if you see something you really, really like a lot, you better buy multiples of it, because , chances are the quality might go to pot in the following years, and a color you might like today will be discontinued tomorrow. this goes for some of their clothes. I bought some khakis a few years ago that I liked. A few years later, I ordered the same size and number but the pants fit so baggy, I felt like I was in a clown costume. Just sayin...

I have had three or four of these over the years and they are great. Warm and comfortable and a good fit. My only complaint is that it needs another belt loop in the back. When putting it on, the belt tends to slip below ones butt and has to be repositioned before you can tie the belt. Minor but annoying.

A bit pricey but well made. My husband, who normally wears large, can wrap this robe almost to his back. Tall does not come in Medium or I would have exchanged it. He is 6' but all other robes are short on him. He weighs about 185. He does like it, but would have liked more length and less width. It is only slightly longer than his old robe.

This is a great robe. Not to heavy and just right over a set of flannel pajamas. The fabric is great and the print is awesome. My only gripe is that there's Too Much fabric. I could wrap the thing around my body twice and I'm not super skinny. I wish it had a little less fabric so it didn't fit like a potato sack but I still like it. I always have to take my LL Bean flannels to get slimmed down quite a bit and this is no exception. Still a great robe

My husband loves this robe! The print is great and the fabric isn't too heavy so it keeps him nice and warm. However, for a tall, the sleeves are a bit too long and the length just isn't long enough. He's 6"1" and the tall length in the XL is only 46". It covers his knees but ends a few inches after, so isn't comfortable when he sits down. So, as a work around, I take the fabric from the previous old robe (same pattern) and sew an extra 6 inches or so to the hem to get it to a desirable length--like close to 52" or even 53"! Would be nice if a "tall" was indeed sized for a tall man. But it's still a keeper; just means a bit of extra work for me to do!

The robe is very nice except for one thing. The collar is too stiff because of the interfacing. That should have been left out, then the collar would have been softer and more comfortable. The stiff collar is the only complaint about the robe. Otherwise it is nice. This was to be a gift, but I will be returning it.

I bought this for myself. I found it to be not quite the color depicted---much duller. And the fabric to be flimsy for the price. Not a cold weather robe.

I rated this a 3 because I was disappointed with the weight of the flannel fabric. I had previously purchased and then returned from another source for half the price because of the lightweight fabric. For price, I was expecting much warmer and heavier material.

I was excited to see a tall option and it's exceptionally soft and warm. Unfortunately even with following the care instructions it shrunk several inches in the first wash. The sleeves are no longer long enough and the over all length is shorter.

Belt way too long for me. Can I get a shorter one? Otherwise great robe

It's soft, but incredibly thin. Not at all the quality I would have expected from LL Bean. Unfortunately I gave this as a Christmas gift and wish I had gone elsewhere.

I brought this for a Christmas present and it was as describedSuper soft and perfect fit. Unfortunately, after washing according to the directions in cold water and drying on low heat, it shrunk a whole size. The sleeves and hem were 2+ inches shorter and it was much tighter. So disappointing. The flannel shirt and cotton polos I also ordered washed beautifully. LLBean seldom disappoints but this robe is a miss. Recommend ordering up a full size.

I thought it would be a more substantial flannel but it is not. I will keep it but look for a heavier robe elsewhere. I replaced an only one from several years back and it was considerably heavier.

Not as warm as expected. Fabric is a lightweight flannel. Not heavy enough for my husband. This is to replace one he bought in the past which was much more substantial. Also, there should be a solid color fabric available.

I just purchased a flannel robe for my husband. I'm disappointed. The fabric is thin, price was too high, and it took forever to get here. I could have driven to Maine in less time than the shipping took. There was no communication about arrival so that made it a bit stressful.

I ordered the robe based on the color shown on line. I knew the quality would be good. It does not have near the yellow as i expected. I know bolts of fabric can be a bit different but not the same as shown on the internet.

Seemed like the Flannel was thinner than should be for the price, therefore summer only for us. Looks and fit were good.

The robe is much thinner than expected. The colors are great, and the size is fine, but it is not a winter-weight robe. :(

I returned it. Not happy with the quality of the material. It is thin and the flannel feel is very poor. I don't buy from LL Bean anymore, because that is usually my experience now. The pattern was attractive and the design, but without a good quality material, it's not something I want.
