The robe I replaced which was also and LL Bean was of a much thicker flannel. Other than that I really like this. Big point: first got it in Large size because my older was it was HUGE. It does shrink on the first wash. Now fits great.

Got the tall 2xl and plenty of room. Comfortable flannel and soft. The tie is positioned pretty low for me (at the low Hip) but I just pull up and tie at my waist. All the reviews are correct in the flannel is only 1/3 the thickness of the older robes (many years ago) even though they are manufactured in the same country (do not know if it's the same manufacturing plant). I think we would pay more for a thicker flannel as in the days of quality over profit (my 2cents).

Fit was good, however the belt crumpled up after washing and has to be ironed each time you wash it. Bean should add something into the material to prevent this.

The robe and pants are a good fit and the plaid well liked. I was disappointed in the fabric after washing, it lost much body which gave the garment a flimsy feel. I don't believe it is adequate for cool winter evenings.

It wasn't the quality I was expecting at the price point I paid. Also, I opted for the insignia on the robe but it is small and kind of invisible because it's a bit small. Guidance on selecting the size of the insignia and thread color would have been appreciated.

Believe all the reviews when everyone says it is thinner than other L.L.Bean flannel products. Much thinner. Thinner than the sheets I have. Thinner than the shirts I have. But I actually don't mind too much that it's thin. It's very soft and it does the trick as a layer to throw on to get out of bed in the morning and make coffee. etc. before getting dressed. On the plus side you don't feel weighed down like with a bathrobe.

My husband was surprised to receive this robe as it matches one of his favorite shirts! Thanks to L.L.Bean!

I bought this for my husband to replace his well worn bathrobe. The robe provides plenty of coverage girth and length wise. The material is soft, not too thin or too thick whch is perfect since we live in an area that experiences milder temperatures year round. Overall, this is a very nice robe but I am only giving it 4 stars because the sleeves are about one hand length too long on his 6'1" frame.

The fabric is soft and warm, though a little thin compared to previous Bean robes. My husband loves it.

Bought the XXLT as a very tall and slightly large person. The material is thinner than expected, but that's not necessarily bad. It's great for even slightly chilly weather.I initially thought it was pretty giant, but it has had a week or two to conform to my body and doesn't have that boxy straight out of the packaging look anymore. The breast pocket is a great feature for pipes or vapes, but mine seems to be a little low. Still functional, the only true caveat is the price. Yeah it's 70$ or so, but to get anything quickly from ll bean requires about an extra 20$. I had heard rave reviews about this robe from a lot of sources and think that it holds up for the most part, and hopefully ages well.

Nice all the way around!! I'm 6'2" and 180, I got an extra large to have more room. Wish the Tall length was about 6-8" longer, as it hits right below my knee. Material is not too heavy or too lightweight for the Oklahoma spring, summer and fall

It was okay. I have nothing previous to compare it to, but some reviews have said it is flimsy...I don't know. I didn't feel like it would rip or anything, but it is not necessarily premium thick flannel material either. I'd say 3.5 stars. The picture makes it look more grey/light, but I found the color to be more red and green than I expected, vs gray.
I ended up returning, and bought a different robe elsewhere -- different company, a lot better quality, but higher price. For me personally, the difference between the two was obvious immediately, and totally worth it. I'm really glad I opted for the one I have now. Still, I think this could be a good cheaper option for some folks. Even though I think it could maybe be about 20-30 bucks cheaper, given what it seems to be.

Fit fine ,,,BUT...tiny black "pills" got all over the clothes the robe covered. It and the effected clothes needed to be washed to rid the "pilling,"

I like this robe, the color, the fact that it's flannel the only reason I didn't give it five stars was for the price I wish the material was a little bit heavier. I ordered the tall size and the sleeve length was perfect for me. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase.

It is a very nice looking robe. But it is very thin flannel so you don't have the softness that a thicker flannel has. When you hold up to the light it does not block. You can see how thin the flannel is. If it wasn't so close to Christmas, I would have returned it. L L Bean has always had such quality but this is more like a $30 tone. I am very disappointed.

Great quality, a bit shorter than expected for the price. Bought the lined robe for my husband a few years ago & it was longer I thought. Turns out the lined robe was too warm for Alabama, but he kept it in case we move again as we have lived several places. This robe is the correct weight for him, but he's used to a bit more length. Truly likes the plaid! I was concerned it might be too bright but seems toned down just enough; not quite as bright as internet picture.

Warm and comfortable, medium fit 5'8" but a tad oversized. Probably better fit than a small.

It is great, except shedding lint the first time we washed it. However, will mention, that the two sweat pants that we purchased from you in October, shed terribly! We had to wash and dry them multiple times and use a sticky roller to get the lint off each time. And, they still shed some when washed. Is there something inferior about this cotton you are purchasing?
Thanks for asking and wanting feedback.
